After the inception of the notion of fuzzy set theory, there have been attempts to analyze the problem of testing hypothesis for dealing with such imprecise data. In this paper, we consider the fuzzy data instead of crisp ones, and introduce a procedure for testing of hypothesis for imprecise data based on interval type -2 generalized hexagonal fuzzy numbers.","PeriodicalId":385922,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Fuzzy Mathematical Archive","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129613090","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents a continuous review two echelon inventory system. The operating policy at the lower echelon is (s, S) that is whenever the inventory level traps to s on order for Q = (S-s) items is placed, the ordered items are received after a random time which is distributed as exponential. We assume that the demands accruing during the stock-out period are partially backlogged. The retailer replenishes their stock from the regular supplier which adopts (0,M) policy, M = n1Q. When the regular supplier stock is empty the replacement of retailer stock made by the outside supplier who adopts (0,N) policy N = n2Q. The joint probability disruption of the inventory levels of retailer, regular supplier and the outside supplier are obtained in the steady state case. Various system performance measures are derived and the long run total expected inventory cost rate is calculated. Several instances of numerical examples, which provide insight into the behavior of the system are presented.","PeriodicalId":385922,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Fuzzy Mathematical Archive","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126693580","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We consider a finite capacity service facility system with Poisson arrivals and exponentially distributed service times. Here, the customer who sees the server busy, joins the orbit and reattempts the facility with exponential distributed time interval. The system is formulated as Markov Decision Process and we find the optimum service rates to be employed at each instant of time. Linear Programming method is implemented in the context of minimizing the long-run expected cost rate.","PeriodicalId":385922,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Fuzzy Mathematical Archive","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131189235","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Demand is taken as linear price dependent. In reality it is seen that we cannot define all parameters precisely due to imprecision or uncertainty in the environment. So we have defined the inventory parameters, such as set up cost, holding cost and deteriorating cost as triangular fuzzy numbers. The signed distance method and graded mean integration method have been used for defuzzification. To illustrate the proposed model a numerical example and sensitivity analysis with respect to different associated parameter has been presented.","PeriodicalId":385922,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Fuzzy Mathematical Archive","volume":"107 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130606840","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
