Carbon capture technology in gas wells with high CO2 content is studied to find a more economical one. In this study, the technology for capturing high concentrations of CO2 is varied from gas wells, Controlled Freeze Zone (CFZ), and cryogenic distillation which will be analyzed based on cost. Variations in the CO2 content of gas wells are 75 %, 80 %, 85 %, 90 %, and 95 % in mass fraction simulated using Aspen Plus V.11.0. Based on this research, CFZ technology and cryogenic distillation can obtain purity up to 99 % and recovery above 78 %. However, the total annual cost (annual capital and operating costs) of CFZ technology is lower than cryogenic distillation technology, so CFZ technology is suitable for capturing CO2 in gas wells with high CO2 content.","PeriodicalId":38363,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy","volume":" 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141675021","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

PDLA was dissolved in chloroform and cast into a glass dish until the complete evaporation of the solvent. The surface of the created PDLA films was modified with 1,6-hexanediamine and glutaraldehyde for the creation of free aldehyde side groups. Composite layers of chitosan (CH) were deposited on the surface of the modified films. The mechanical properties of the composite films were investigated using a dynamometer. The surface morphology of the created composite films was studied with Scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Comparative study of the structural and optical properties of the nanocomposites is conducted by means of transmission electron microscopy in its corresponding main modes and by optical spectrometer measurements, respectively. Suspensions of water colloids of the nanocomposites and methylene blue dye prepared in 1 : 2.5 ratio, respectively, are exposed under sunlight irradiation for 3 h. The proteins were extracted from sunflower oil cake in mild acidic conditions (pH = 6 with solution of NaCl with concentration of 0.5, 1 and 2M). The first fraction of protein isolate was obtained by means of isoelectric precipitation at pH = 4, 3.5 and 3. Total protein, ash and dry matter contents, and residual chlorides of raw material and precipitates were determined. The second fraction was obtained from supernatant taken from the highest yield precipitate by means of ultrafiltration. The ultrafiltration experiments were conducted with an UF10-PAN membrane at a transmembrane pressure of 0.2, 0.35 and 0.5 MPa, and a volume reduction ratio (VRR) of 2, 3, 4, and 5. The films were investigated using surface plasmon resonance (SPR) to examine the build-up kinetics, and atomic force microscopy (AFM) to visualize the surface topography. Each deposition step resulted in a progressive increase in mass. The film growth and thickness strongly depended on the polyelectrolyte charge density and complexation between the used polyelectrolytes. The film surface changed from smooth to rough when the pH increased. The results achieved could be used in estimating the potential of the multilayers to be applied as drug delivery systems.","PeriodicalId":38363,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy","volume":" 35","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141675930","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

High concentrations of chlorophyll were found with the addition of rosemary oils and oils of linseed oil and olive oil. β-carotene was affected three to six times in all supplements compared to the commonly refined oil. Eight elements (Mg, Cr, Mn, Zn, Ni, As, Pd and Cd) were analyzed in the studied oils, no presence of toxic elements As and Cd (< 0.02 mg kg-1), lead was up to 0.04 mg kg-1. The retrogradation transition appeared in the DSC curves as an endothermic peak with maximum and area correlating to the retrogradation temperature and enthalpy, respectively. The process was monitored during 12 days after cake’s preparation and some other product’s physical characteristics (weight loss, crumb firmness, crumb color) were also measured. The lowest degree of retrogradation was observed on the 12th day for the 20 % replacement samples, while the highest one was established for the control samples. Therefore, chia gel exhibited the expected retarding effect on starch retrogradation at 15 and 20 % level of egg replacement in the cake batter (low enthalpy values). In general, with increasing chia gel concentration, starch retrogradation slowed down in all storage stages.","PeriodicalId":38363,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy","volume":" 14","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141676092","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
