It is shown that the internal Rayleigh number, ther- morheological parameter, and the Chandrasekhar number in uence the onset of convection. The generalized Lorenz model derived for the prob- lem is essentially the classical Lorenz model but with some coecient depending on the variable heat source (sink), viscosity, and the applied magnetic eld. The result of the parameters' in uence on the critical Rayleigh number explains their in uence on the Nusselt number. It is found that an increasing strength of the magnetic eld is to stabilize the system and diminishes heat transport whereas the heat source and variable viscosity in-tandem to work system unstable and enhances heat transfer.","PeriodicalId":38246,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Indian Mathematical Society","volume":"88 1","pages":"08"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42777818","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Our proposed approach allows simultaneous and independent changes in the supply and demand values. The aim of this paper is to find the ranges for each supply and demand value within which the changes can occur without affecting the current basis of the best compromise solution. We have used the best compromise solution obtained using fuzzy programming technique for the postoptimality analysis of the multiobjective transportation problem. The approach is illustrated by a numerical example.","PeriodicalId":38246,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Indian Mathematical Society","volume":"87 1","pages":"178"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45627408","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using boundary layer approach and suitable similarity transformations, the governing partial differential equations with the boundary conditions are reduced to a system of non-linear ordinary differential equations. The resulting non-linear ordinary differential equations are solved with the help of fourth order Runge-Kutta method with shooting technique. The results obtained for the velocity profile, temperature profile, skin friction coefficient and the reduced Nusselt number are described through graphs. It is predicted that the velocity and temperature profiles are lower for unsteady flow and has an opposite effect for steady flow.","PeriodicalId":38246,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Indian Mathematical Society","volume":"87 1","pages":"261"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47103838","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
