Reuse of bricks from the former building found on this site link the new with the past even though the aesthetic is radically different. The existing building and its immediate surroundings have been faithfully restored using traditional materials and skills. Unusually this mansion did not have a formal portico which lead to some confusion as to where the main entrance is located.
