{"title":"The reform of Vietnam trade union and the government’s role since doi moi","authors":"N. In a context of an emerging economy such as Vietnam, it is important to note that labour, management and government have complex interactions with each other. These interactions are determined by many factors, such as political parties being aligned with the labour movement. Furthermore, in the Vietnam political system, the government, through the leadership of the VCP, is built on the principle of protecting the working class from exploitation of capitalism. This principle controls both the parliament and court systems. In other words, the Vietnam government is a singular institution that issues economic policy as well as leading the political system. The greatest challenge for the Vietnam communist government is joining a pluralist economic world where rules and principles have been designed on democratic principles which mostly do not fit in with the policies of the Vietnamese government.","PeriodicalId":380741,"journal":{"name":"Trade Unions and Labour Movements in the Asia-Pacific Region","volume":"107 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"113999536","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
