The first feature is that we get the optimal throughput of slotted ALOHA increased if the number of tags and the number of slots are equal. The second feature is that if the number of tags is small and the frame size is equal to the number of tags, the throughput increases as the number of tags decreases. However, most researchers have made little effort to explore the second feature to increase the throughputs of Slotted ALOHA anti- collision methods. In this paper we propose a grouping based dynamic framed slotted ALOHA anti- collision method with fine groups (GB-DFSA) to fully utilize the two features to perform tag identification. We compare the throughput of GB-DFSA with those of the other two methods - EDFSA with partition and DFSA. To achieve this, it is important to incentivize the primary license holders to open up their under-utilized spectrum for sharing and adaptively allocate the spectrum to meet more secondary users' reliability transmission requirements with minimum cost. In this paper, we propose a highly available spectrum allocation service model, which uses parallel mechanism to improve the transmission reliability. We present an effective algorithm to select transmission channels for secondary users. Concurrent Error Detection (CED) techniques based on hardware or time redundancy are widely used to enhance system dependability. In this paper we focus on time redundancy CED techniques targeting involutional functions. We analyze the detection of errors in S-boxes and permutation P of the PP-1 block cipher, designed for platforms with very limited resources. This CED technique can detect both permanent and transient faults with very small time overhead. This paper presents a systematic study of effect of work function of metal gates on symmetric double-gate (DG) MOSFET. Two-dimensional simulation tools are used to investigate the effect of work function of gates on Double gate MOSFET. From simulation we observed that by changing the work function of the metal gates of Double gate MOSFET we can change the threshold voltage. The damping pulse generator is implemented using an on-chip transformer, a capacitor, and an NMOS transistor operated with 100-MHz clock to produce mm-wave pulses which are fed into on-chip antennas. Also, a new CMOS programmable delay circuit controller is developed for pulse beamformability. The sensed data must be gathered and transmitted to a base station for further processing to meet the end-user queries. Since the network consists of low-cost nodes with limited battery power, it is a challenging task to design an efficient routing scheme that can collect massive data and offer good performance in energy efficiency, and long network lifetimes. Grid structure was proposed for energy efficient data routing. Instead of propagating query messages from sink to all sensors to set up data forwarding information, the grid structure uses only sensors located at the grid points needed to acquire the forwarding information. In this paper, we propose an energy-efficient routing technique, called Steiner Points Grid Routing (SPGR) protocol, to improve the performance of previous grid routing protocols. However, this method could not deal with the varying rate of playback speed; thus, it was difficult to compare the analyzed operation logs for each user. We propose the CPT (Cumulative Playback Time) and normalized CPT as a more generic calculation for the time consumed by user operations for watching of a video. The average result of normalized CPT for 9 subjects could cover almost all aspects of the difficulty of a task (task hardship).
