Istiandaru","doi":"10.12928/ijei.v2i2.4544","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.12928/ijei.v2i2.4544","url":null,"abstract":"The purpose of this research was to determine whether there was a positive and significant relationship between mathematical representation skills and mathematical anxiety with the problem-solving abilities of eighth grade students of SMP N 2 Sedayu Bantul Yogyakarta. This research is a quantitative research involving 63 grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Sedayu. The data collection method is carried out through data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires and tests. The questionnaire instrument was used to determine student learning anxiety while the test instrument was used to determine mathematical representation and problem-solving skills. Data analysis used multiple linear regression analysis method. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between mathematical representation ability and mathematical anxiety with solving ability by using the F-test which resulted in F = 3.882 > 3.33 = F table with a significance level of 5%. While the correlation coefficient obtained is R = 0.3666. The regression equation is . The relative contribution of X1 is 57.88% and X2 is 42.11%. This research aims to determine whether there is a positive and significant relation between study habits and self-confidence to mathematics learning outcomes on the 11th grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Dukuhwaru, Indonesia. The type of this research is quantitative research. It involved 167 students of social sciences of SMA Negeri 1 Dukuhwaru. The instrument used was a test of learning outcomes and a questionnaire that had been tested for the validity and the reliability. Data analysis techniques used in this study are descriptive analysis, analysis prerequisite test, and hypothesis testing. The results of this study indicates that there is a positive and significant relation between study habits and self-confidence to mathematics learning outcomes on the 11th grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Dukuhwaru. It is indicated by   . This article aims to: (1) describe the leadership quality of the principal of the Muhammadiyah Oil and Gas Vocational School in Cilacap; (2) describes the communication skills of the head of the Muhammadiyah Migas Vocational School Cilacap; (3) describe the performance of SMK Muhammadiyah Migas Cilacap vocational teachers; (4) determine the influence of the quality of school principal leadership on the performance of SMK Muhammadiyah Migas Cilacap teachers; (5) find out the influence of school principals' communication skills on the performance of Cilacap Vocational High School Muhammadiyah teachers; and (6) find out the influence of leadership quality and communication skills of principals on the performance of SMK Muhammadiyah Migas Cilacap teachers. This research is a quantitative study using descriptive analysis and multiple regression analysis. The population in this study were 33 teachers in Muhammadiyah Migas Vocational School Cilacap. Data collection techniques used a closed questionnaire method. Descriptive analysis results show that: (1) The quality of the principal's leadership can be classified in good categories, (2) The communication skills of the principal can be classified in either category; and (3) Teacher performance is included in the classification of good categories. This research is an ex post facto using quantitative correlation method. The population of this research is all XII grade students of in office automation and governance expertise, with a total of 64 students. We selected 30 students as the sample using proportionate random sampling technique. The dependent variable in this study is work readiness (Y) while the independent variables include the performance of internship (X1) and work motivation (X2). Data collection methods are questionnaires and documentation. The method of data analysis uses descriptive statistics, and multiple linear regression. This research used quantitative method. We involved 60 teachers from four private vocational schools as the research subject. We delivered a Likert-scale questionnaire to assess the pedagogical competence. Then, we analyzed the data using non-parametric inferential statistics. The results showed that the pedagogical competence of private vocational school teachers in Wanareja on ten aspects of pedagogical competence had different categories in each aspect. The aspect of mastering the students’ characteristics was very sufficient (55%). The aspect of mastering the learning theory was good (44%) and very sufficient (40%). The aspect of developing a curriculum was good (48%). The aspect of organizing learning was good (63%). The aspect of using ICT in learning was very sufficient (51%). The aspect of developing the students’ potential was good (44%). The aspect of effective communication and politeness was good (63%). The aspect of conducting an assessment was sufficient (53%). The aspect of utilizing the results of the assessment for the benefit of learning was very sufficient (53%). And finally, the aspect of doing reflective action was sufficient (68%). One of them is about whether mathematics is created or discovered. This research aims to find out the pre-service mathematics teachers’ perception about the classical enigma of mathematics after joining the course of history and philosophy of mathematics education. It was a descriptive qualitative research involving 45 pre-service mathematics teachers in their first-year training. We collected the data using questionnaire and then deepened the findings using semi-structured interview. The results suggest that 40% of the respondents believed that mathematics is created, while the rest 60% believed that mathematics is discovered. The two claims have their basic reasoning in the perspective of the respondents. Those who believed that mathematics is created argued that mathematics exists because of human activities. Therefore, it will never be founded if it is not created first. Meanwhile, those who believed that mathematics is discovered tended to argue that whether or not there is human activities to prove the mathematics phenomena, it is already there as the God created it. Thus, human just discovered it, not create it. The traditions are potential to be explored and used as contextual learning materials. This research aims to analyze the relationship between science (physics, biology, and chemistry) on the use of Betel leaf in the Nyirih tradition. This research used an ethnoscience approach, an approach which raises various cultures in a society to become a science learning topic, so that it would be easier for students to integrate various material in science learning with the real-life  contexts. It was a qualitative research using the study literature type which consists of several steps, namely: (1) determining the topic, (2) gathering materials as references, (3) making an introduction, (4) determining the method, (5) discussing the findings, and (6) making a conclusion.
