A new genus, Australolaius Tshernyshev, gen.n. with a type species Dicranolaius weiri Liu, Ślipiński et Pang, 2015 is described for several Australian Dicranolaius species with male special characters as follows: anterior femora are stout and hollowed externally, urites are elongate and emarginated, and apex of the aedeagus is spicular-shaped. The external appearance, special male characters and genitalia of the type species of the studied genera are illustrated, and a distribution map are provided. The pulsation of the stolon coenosarc of the colonial hydroid Dynamena pumila (L., 1758) was recorded using time-lapse microvideo recording. The study included several experiments: control (without air exposure) and a series of consecutive air exposure periods: 5, 10, 20, 30 min and 1 h. In general, comparison of the experiments with same colony in control and in a series of air exposure periods up to 30 min demonstrated no significant changes in the coenosarc pulsations and the hydroplasmic flow. Air exposure for 20 and 30 min caused a decrease in the amplitude of growth pulsations, and in growth increment by more than a third. The limit of permissible air exposure for D. pumila colonies is between 10 and 20 min. Such a short air exposure period does not lead to disruption of the distribution system and the growth of the growing tips, and therefore can be used in laboratory studies of colonies. A longer air exposure period, namely one hour, is critical for the colony, since it leads to disruption of its structure integrity. However, the planktonic stages in brachiopod ontogeny still do not have special names. Here we propose names for all planktonic stages of extant brachiopods. The chaetotrocha is a larva consisting of a round anterior lobe with a ciliary band and a body with three pairs of larval setae bundles. Lecithotrophic chaetotrocha is a larva of extant Craniiformea. The cephalula is a larva divided into the anterior lobe bearing the apical ciliary tuft and a marginal ciliary band, a mantle lobe with larval setal bundles, and a pedicle lobe. Lecithotrophic cephalula is the only larval stage of recent Rhynchonelliformea. The development of Discinidae includes three planktonic stages succeeding each other. The first is the cephalula. Second developmental stage of Discinidae is the chaetolopha with a rudimentary lophophore and larval spinose setae. The third stage of discinid development is the tegulolopha with a lophophore and a shell. The only planktonic stage of extant Lingulidae is the tegulolopha. Karaman, 1932, N. valachicus Dobreanu et Manolache, 1933, N. magnus Birštein, 1940, N. potamophilus Birštein, 1954, were recorded as pond dwellers on the coastal plains of the Black and Azov seas of the northand south-western Caucasus. N. potamophilus and N. magnus were re-described based on topotypic material; the first species is distributed in the lower part of the coastal plain of the Sea of Azov between the deltas of the Kuban and Don rivers, while the latter taxon is a complex of several cryptic species that are widely distributed in the Kolkhida coastal lowland plain of the eastern Black Sea (Colchis) from Russia to the north-eastern Turkey. N. cubanicus Birštein, 1954 was found to be a junior synonym of N. hrabei, which was firstly reported from the Russian Caucasus, in the upper part of the coastal plain of the Sea of Azov from the Kuban River delta. N. valachicus was firstly reported from the Colchis near Poti, Georgia. Neotypes based on topotypic material were selected for N. potamophilus and N. magnus, since the original type material was lost. The distinctive morphological features of the species are the presence of protoplasm completely filling the entire space of the test and the interior of the apertural neck, and the short, thin processes that extend beyond the aperture in most individuals. Other representatives of the genus Vellaria, namely V. pellucida Gooday et Fernando, 1992 and V. sacculus Gooday et Fernando, 1992, were found in the south-western of the Sea of Azov (Sergeeva, 2016), where the salinity did not exceed 14‰, compared to 74‰ in Sivash in the case of Vellaria solenta sp.n. By now, six species of arthropods (Arthropoda) have been identified, i.e. one species of spiders (Aranei), one species of diplura (Diplura), two species of springtails (Collembola) and two species of flies (Diptera). The obtained results indicate the relative youth of the recent fauna of Tavrida Cave, despite Eopleistocene age cave, and have a significant faunal value, since a number of discovered species are specified for the first time for the Crimea and Russia. For the troglobiont diplura Campodea (Dicampa) taurica, discovered in Tavrida Cave, a probable scenario of its penetration into the karst cavities of the Crimea in connection with global climate changes in the Late Pleistocene time is presented. However, all other found species are most likely to have entered Tavrida Cave at the present time, after its opening as a result of road construction work. Its prominent regeneration abilities, as well as its small size, widespread distribution and environmental tolerance make P. elegans a perfect annelid model for studying cellular and molecular mechanisms of regeneration, larval and postlarval growth. Here we performed staging of P. elegans regeneration, which will be useful for future molecular studies of the reparation process. We also described some morphological aspects of anterior and posterior post-traumatic regeneration of P. elegans collected on the Barents Sea, including muscle and catecholaminergic nervous system regeneration.
