It is very potential instrument, a powerful medium of bringing about changes in the society through more than 65% of the youngsters in the higher education of our country. Changes brought about by value-oriented education are permanent and transcendent in nature. This paper suggests that with the help of new communication media, technology, modern methodology, and latest instructional materials, education brings about changes in the society during this COVID-19 situation. This paper also highlights that the NEP (1986) characterizes higher education as a crucial factor for survival, providing the Indian people with an opportunity to reflect on the critical, social, economic, cultural, moral and spiritual issues facing humanity. This paper further argues that higher education in this COVID-19 also is the main instrument for development and it is the time to change the ways and come forward for value orientation through universities and colleges by the government. It has the important task of preparing leaders for different walks of life-social, intellectual, political, cultural, scientific, and technological.","PeriodicalId":378867,"journal":{"name":"Philosophy Study","volume":"13 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139348606","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The recent changes in Nigerian and other African countries like colonialism that brought Western education, globalization, urbanization, and new religion (Islam and Christianity) have made it that divination in traditional African religion is no longer in vogue in this contemporary period. Divination and fortune telling have taken a new dimension in form of faith healing and miracles by some prophets and so called men of God like pastors, priests, and imam. The quest for materialism among the ministers and clerics of Islamic, Christian and traditional religion has made them abuse their religious calling for their selfish interests. This work makes use of analytic and critical methods of data analysis. This work postulates that Immanuel Kant’s ethics of duty call serves to provide a guiding principle to Nigeria clergymen of different religions on the need for them to carry out their religious duties out of good will. On the other hand, twisting or distorting the teachings of their religion to serve their various selfish interests contravenes Immanuel Kant’s ethics of duty call. Finally, they have to contribute positively to nation building by propagating or fostering the positive ideology, theories, or doctrines that will promote love and national unity in a multicultural country like Nigeria.","PeriodicalId":378867,"journal":{"name":"Philosophy Study","volume":"11 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139348675","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this existence (consciousness), the events of the era, which are infinite in scale, are transformed into a treasure of thought (archive). This treasure, which is in the essence of “infinity” (∞), is enriched step by step from simple knowledge to fundamental scientific knowledge, thus shaping his worldview through countless events. From this point of view, era and worldview are phenomena that are in unity and one determines the other. In other words, the highest determination of philosophy—when explaining the concept of time with questions, the idea covered by it, man, nature, etc., answers related to the worldview factor are given in the contents and essences. Or, on the contrary, the understanding of the worldview of any person acquires an objective-logical value with the characteristics of his era. Because of its position, it is worth noting that every era leaves its mark on history with “extraordinary” important memory phenomena that change the world and hold the whole world and mankind under its charm, which is also considered as globalization in the world with the current terminology (globalization in the old dictionary). Also, each period has its own historical content and the fact that the most global event, including the genius, is named in honor of the person of the time, contains the importance of this or that period, as well as the historical stage, Stone Age, Antiquity, Renaissance, Enlightenment-Modernism, “Golden Age”, Critical Socialism, etc. A feature of the periods is related to the human factor. There had never been a period in history that did not produce its own geniuses and historical personalities. It is not even an exception to the eras related to the names of geniuses and historical figures. One of the most revealing manifestations of these changes is liturgical music, which has always been considered “traditional”, whereas the boundaries of the tradition have been subject to sharp disputes between those responsible for the church ritual and its accessories. The palette of the musical environment of modern church in terms of attendance and congregational acceptability in its sustainable development is addressed in the article based on recent research, in particular, several related studies by A. Rosenblatt, who over the past two decades has explored different aspects of church music heard in the field and presented in various hymnal books. Summary of this review allows us to consider a tangle of reasons to the preference for this or that musical style, which often completely excludes purely musical tastes and preferences.","PeriodicalId":378867,"journal":{"name":"Philosophy Study","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135656702","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
