Given that the results are largely mixed, it is important to understand which individual differences affect drivers' hazard perception abilities. Three hundred ninety-eight drivers recruited throughout the USA participated in an online study by completing a hazard perception video task, two visual perception tasks, and surveys. A latent structural equation model was evaluated finding that visual perception skills and knowledge of traffic laws predicted hazard perception skills. Unlike much of the existing literature, driving experience and risk perception did not predict hazard perception skills. Additionally, the results of a latent structural equation mediation model revealed that driving experience did not mediate the relationship between hazard perception skills and knowledge of traffic laws. The map display has a current time indicator and scheduled/estimated arrival time data at multiple bus stops. Two different time formats were applied to the time data at the bus stops: exact time at each stop and duration until them. Graphics symbols indicating earliness or lateness to ordinary scheduled time were also developed and tested. Under the four manipulated map types, experimenters asked participants eight different types of questions about space and/or time status. The experimenters then evaluated the response time and accuracy of produced answers. The response times were shorter or similar when the time formats corresponded questions. This study aimed to examine fear of falling associated with activities of daily living in those with visual disabilities. A total of 18 older adults with visual disabilities completed a 10-point Likert type scale to measure fear of falling and elaborated on their ratings during exit interviews. The ratings and exit interviews were analysed via descriptive statistics and inductive content analysis, respectively. Fear of falling was negatively correlated with length of residence in the current home.
