The study focuses on a vital and effective subject in order to introduce the semiology of color as a term and present the perception of researchers in that regard in terms of linguistics ، physics ، psychology. It also lays emphasis on the concept ، definition and categories of color and presents the value ، significance ، position and role of this subject as an icon of semiology within the framework of the novel genre. In addition ، the current study is concerned with illustrating the hidden semantic aspects of color as a psychophysical phenomenon and bearing the meaning of color icons beyond the indexes that are like aesthetic and fantasy games carrying various meanings. These are all interpreted in terms of a socio-psychological theory.
