Identification of fingerprint is an active area of search. In most portions we are manipulating recognition of fingerprint for enhancing the isolation and safety. The matching methods can be of two types-enrolment of fingerprint and authentication of fingerprint. The union of fingerprint for protecting isolation is a system for securing fingerprint isolation by integrating two distinct fingerprints into new indirect identity. In the enrolment stage two fingerprints will be taken from two different fingers. The minutiae position is taken from one fingerprint, from other fingerprint alignment and references points from both fingerprints are taken out. From the details taken out an image of combined minutiae is generated and kept in the database. In authentication stage we will require two fingerprints from alike two fingers which were used previously during enrolment time. A minutia cylinder code pairing algorithm is recommended for coordinating the two fingerprints against template of combined minutiae. By storing integrated minutiae template, complete property of one fingerprint will not be recognized even if the database is grabbed. As there is analogy in topology it is not possible for raider to proceed out the markings of combined minutiae from true templates of minutiae. Thus a new virtual identity is developed for two same fingerprints.","PeriodicalId":378174,"journal":{"name":"2015 Global Conference on Communication Technologies (GCCT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133581902","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is well-known that the many natural signals such as image, music and video signals are represented sparsely if decomposed by using a proper choosen dictionaries for e.g. formed of wavelets bases. Sparse representation and compression distance is the representation that account for most or all the information of signal with linear combination of small number of elementary signal or atoms. A dictionary can be over complete or complete depending on the number of bases it contains is the same or greater than the dimensionality of the given image or signal. Traditionally, the use of predefined dictionaries has been common in sparse analysis. However, a more generalized approach is to learn the dictionary from the signal itself. Learnt dictionaries are known to outperform predefined dictionaries in several applications. In order to train a dictionary a large number of patches need to be extracted. For dictionary learning we used a K-SVD algorithm.","PeriodicalId":378174,"journal":{"name":"2015 Global Conference on Communication Technologies (GCCT)","volume":"142 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132877965","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Wireless Medical Devices (WMD) are the latest healthcare systems introduced for monitoring and diagnosis of vital signs and chronic diseases. These devices have to pack a powerful technological punch. The foremost constraint in WMD is the high Power Consumption. Different means of power saving methods are proposed in recent research works of WMD. The objective of the work is to design novel ultra-low power architecture for WMD by optimal signal processing techniques, design of reconfigurable ADC (Analog to Digital Converter) and a scheme for clock power management. This work explores comparative performance analysis of different Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) procedures and identifying the suitable FFT procedure for WMD. The above proposed solution will be implemented using VHDL and ModelSim.","PeriodicalId":378174,"journal":{"name":"2015 Global Conference on Communication Technologies (GCCT)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116784158","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Even though it is a good algorithm for grouping, it may affect the clustering performance in terms of cluster initialization. This directed to new research track on emerging better algorithms with good initial centroids. This paper gives a hybrid algorithm, called ACPSO algorithm for optimal clustering process. ACO algorithm is used in this paper for the discovery centroids with the stimulation of ant colony system. Once initial centroids are produced by ACO algorithm, PSO algorithm is applied to find optimal cluster with the help of different fitness function, namely, XB index, Sym index, DB index, Connected DB index, Connected Dunn index and Mean Square Distance. Finally, experimentation is performed with iris data and performance is evaluated with five different evaluation metrics. The experimental results shows the proposed method's performance is good as compared with existing algorithm in most of evaluation metrics.","PeriodicalId":378174,"journal":{"name":"2015 Global Conference on Communication Technologies (GCCT)","volume":"688 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121988871","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In defense applications, fusion is widely employed to obtain images pertaining to the object under surveillance and also for mapping terrain for navigation purposes. Surveillance imaging generally use two imaging sources, one an Infra Red (IR) camera and the other a conventional digital camera; and the images are usually captured under low-lighting and night time conditions. The imaging process is prone to sensor noise which degrades the fusion performance. This is because the noise is also considered as useful information by the fusion process, resulting in a corrupted fused output, rendering the image useless. We have formulated different fusion techniques based on the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and the Principal Component Analysis (PCA). In this paper, the efficiency of these fusion algorithms is evaluated under the presence of sensor noise. The Structural Similarity Index (SSIM), the Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) and the Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) are used as metrics to evaluate the performance of the fusion schemes. Our experiments have shown that the DWT based fusion method that utilizes the energy of the wavelet coefficients for fusion produces good results under the noise constraints imposed.","PeriodicalId":378174,"journal":{"name":"2015 Global Conference on Communication Technologies (GCCT)","volume":"750 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123870549","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Gender is the most significant characteristic of speech. Pitch is commonly used feature for gender classification as it differs in male and female voice. But this method is not applicable in cases where pitch of male and female is almost the same. In this paper the above limitations are rectified by extracting other features like Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficient (MFCC), energy entropy and frame energy estimation from real time male and female voices. The gender classification is done by using Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and Support Vector Machines (SVM). The features extracted from the same word spoken by male and female are compared and classified. Likewise, speaker saying different words are related and gender is categorized indicating that the features considered are content independent. The experimental results show that SVM classification performed better than ANN in the gender identification of speech using the same features.","PeriodicalId":378174,"journal":{"name":"2015 Global Conference on Communication Technologies (GCCT)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125553778","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Surface plasma resonance (SPR) biosensors are optical sensors exploiting special electromagnetic waves, and interaction between a sample solution and bimolecular recognition element immobilized on the SPR sensor surface. A painless non-invasive technique has been developed by using tears as a bio-analyte, SPR is a label free mechanism where target molecule are not labelled or altered and can be detected in their natural form. Label-free detection mechanisms measure refractive index (RI) change induced by molecular interactions, which is related to the sample concentration or surface density, instead of total sample mass. After simulation it has been observed that the result obtained is highly accurate and the sensitive. The structure used here is SPR sensor based on channel waveguide. In cooperative spectrum sensing several cognitive radios cooperatively detect the unused frequency slots. We investigate the optimum voting rule as half voting rule also called majority rule in `n out of K' rules and optimal number of cognitive radios with an aim to maximize the network utility function and minimize the error probability. The optimal conditions have been verified through simulation results over an AWGN channel and it is concluded that `majority rule' outperforms the `AND rule' and `OR rule' in maximizing the utility function and minimizing the error probability.","PeriodicalId":378174,"journal":{"name":"2015 Global Conference on Communication Technologies (GCCT)","volume":"121 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127333693","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
