Comparative analysis of matching band, reflection coefficient in band and length of stepped IT with NS and uniform stubs (US) is made. A dispersion equation has been obtained allowing for the analysis of the effect of the metal-dielectric layer exerted on the electromagnetic wave stimulation in such a structure. The research has shown the possibility of designing highly-efficient TWTs, offering an efficiency of about 78%. In this study, a novel fuzzy neural network structure is used for behavior of an active microwave device.
