Nowadays, with the current decline in COVID-19 cases in Yogyakarta, teaching and learning activities have started to be carried out offline. It is necessary to be aware that this teaching and learning activity risks the occurrence of clusters of the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Therefore, student compliance with health protocols is very important to be encouraged. The factors that underlie adherence to health protocols need to be studied more in order to maintain and improve student compliance. Research purpose: The research aims to study the factors that underlie student compliance in implementing health protocols. Methods: The research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method, where the informants were University students in Yogyakarta. The interview guide is made with the framework of the Capacity, Opportunity and Motivation Behavior constructs (COM-B Theory of Change). Result: Of the 20 students interviewed, all informants showed adherence to the health protocol. The factors that underlie student compliance include physical ability, knowledge, availability of equipment, facilities and infrastructure, social support from families and those around them, support from government or campus authority’s policies and regulations, motivation in the form of awareness, intention and sense of responsibility. However, some informants stated that there were physical and social barriers in the form of difficulty using masks during strenuous activities, experiencing irritation due to the use of hand washing soap/ hand sanitizer, difficulty maintaining distance in public places, and difficulty avoiding handshakes with the closest people. Conclusion: Physical and social barriers that occur can be overcome by continuing education intervention strategies to the community and disciplinary supervision of health protocols, especially in public places.","PeriodicalId":376293,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Health Promotion and Service Management","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125222081","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) infection is the main trigger of cervical cancer. Pap smear is early detection that effectively lowers the incidence and mortality rate. However, the number of Women of the Childbearing Age (WUS) who are reluctant to carry out pap smears remains high. Women's awareness regarding cervical cancer prevention is still inadequate. Research Purposes: The study aimed to explore factors related to WUS's reluctance to perform pap smears, reviewed with the Health Belief Model (HBM) theory. Method: This research is descriptive with a qualitative approach through structured interviews. Respondents were all WUS in Griya Salaman Asri Housing, Magelang, Central Java, willing to participate in this study. Interviews were conducted using an interview guide compiled based on HBM constructs. Data were analyzed with content analysis. Result: 26 respondents were interviewed. Most respondents indicated reluctance to do a pap smear (73%). Their reluctance is mainly based on perceptions of obstacles regarding the high cost of the test, less confidence because of fear, shame, and did not entirely trust the health workers. Conclusion: Intervention strategies against factors that affect reluctance to do pap smears can be done through sharing, education, consultation, and free pap smear programs.","PeriodicalId":376293,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Health Promotion and Service Management","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117197024","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Cardiovascular patients in the Province of the Special Region of Yogyakarta are in the third rank after North Kalimantan and Gorontalo. Sleman Regency is ranked first in the Province of D.I. Yogyakarta. The Social Security Administering Body (BPJS) implements the Patient Refer Back (PRB) program for CVD patients to get their medication. The patients can access the Refer Back Program (PRB) at the First Level Health Facilities (FKTP). Good service at the FKTP will provide benefits and satisfaction for heart patients. Benefits can be achieved when patients can control heart disease with drugs obtained from the FKTP. Satisfaction means that what is obtained from the service exceeds the patient's expectations. Therefore, this study aims to analyze services in FKTP for PRB heart patients. This study is analytical. The research location is the Minggir Health Center, Sleman Regency. The study population was CVD patients registered at the Minggir Health Center and actively visited for the last two months. The number of samples was calculated as 60 subjects. The independent variable is the benefits of PRB received by the patients. The dependent variable is the satisfaction of the PRB patients. Data were gathered using a pre-tested questionnaire. Chi-square analysis was conducted to assess the relationship between benefits and satisfaction obtained by PRB patients. The results showed that the research subjects were primarily women, and most had graduated from elementary school. Most of them had a monthly income below two million. The subjects are active BPJS PRB participants. They visit the FKTP on average once a month. Only the human resources aspect had a significant relationship with the satisfaction, while the aspects of place and pharmaceutical service had not, with p-value is 0.005, 0.486, and 0.945, respectively. Based on these results, it can be suggested that services to the PRB cardiovascular patients should be further improved, especially regarding the place and pharmaceutical services.","PeriodicalId":376293,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Health Promotion and Service Management","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131373532","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of telepharmacy intervention on hypertensive patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research employed a quantitative, quasi-experimental design utilizing a purposive sampling technique to assess the effectiveness of telepharmacy intervention on their blood pressure and medication adherence. Thirty (30) participants were examined and subjected to the study using Wilcoxon signed-rank t-test and Student’s t-test to compare and analyze the parameters before and after the interventions. The results showed that telepharmacy intervention manifested a significant difference in the level of effectiveness of the patient’s systolic profile (p=0.009), diastolic profile (p= 0.766), and medication adherence (p<.001) in the intervention conducted. Moreover, there was a significant difference between the patients subjected to the intervention (p=0.009) between the patients who did not receive any intervention (p=0.798). Correlations between the parameters showed a moderately high negative relationship (-0.678) between the telepharmacy intervention and the blood pressure and medication adherence (p<0.01) which was highly significant. This means that as medication adherence increases, blood pressure decreases. Therefore, the effect size of the telepharmacy intervention was effective in decreasing its systolic, controlled diastolic, and medication adherence. Nevertheless, telepharmacy intervention is not yet fully maximized in the Philippines which can be a potential use in delivering pharmaceutical care. Current findings clearly illustrate the desirability and efficacy of telepharmacy intervention that can be utilized in the accessibility of medications to hypertensive patients","PeriodicalId":376293,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Health Promotion and Service Management","volume":"292 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122960220","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the concerning clinical consideration is the presence of comorbid in patients. The purpose of this research is to identify the association between the comorbidities toward severity of admission and the outcome of COVID-19 patients at Bethesda Hospital Yogyakarta. The research was done observationally with a cross sectional design on 206 COVID-19 patients that was confirmed through RT-PCR at Bethesda Hospital Yogyakarta of June 2020 – June 2021 period. The comorbid data from COVID-19 patients will be analyzed in association to the severity of admission which is divided into mild, moderate, severe and critical degrees as well toward the outcome of COVID-19 patients. The data obtained were analyzed using the chi-square test with a significance level of 0.05. COVID-19 patients with comorbid were found 125 patients (60,68%). The most common comorbidities were cardiovascular disease (38,8%), followed by diabetes (31,6%), and kidney disease (12,1%). COVID-19 patients with two or more comorbidities as 59 (28.64%) and significantly have an association to the severity of admission and the outcome of the patient (p<0,001). The severity of severe (69%) and critical (89,4%) admissions was significantly higher in comorbid COVID-19 patients (p<0,001) and the mortality rate (88,6%) was significantly higher in case of comorbid COVID-19 patients (p<0,001), and COVID-19 patients who do not have comorbidities are 5,073 times more likely to be cured compared to patients who have comorbidities. There is an association between comorbidity toward severity of admission and outcome of COVID-19 patients.","PeriodicalId":376293,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Health Promotion and Service Management","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121760140","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
