Realizing the importance of moisture in transformer insulating oils, this study compares the effectiveness of three moisture treatment techniques nitrogen bubbling technique (NBT), molecular sieve technique (MST), and vacuum oven technique (VOT)) for mineral oil (MO). The moisture content and AC breakdown voltage of the MO samples before and after moisture treatment were measured using Karl Fischer coulometric titrator and portable oil tester, respectively, in accordance with the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) D1533 and ASTM D1816 standards. The results showed that NBT is the best moisture treatment technique for the MO, where the NBT reduced 80.79% of moisture present in the oil, followed by MST and VOT, which reduced 72.87 and 42.28% of moisture, respectively. The results also showed that the AC breakdown voltage of the MO samples after moisture treatment was improved owing to the reduction in moisture content.","PeriodicalId":37619,"journal":{"name":"Bulletin of Electrical Engineering and Informatics","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138613409","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The shift in illumination characteristics and drift of chromaticity coordinates (CIE) of (SBS)SON:(EuCe) (B-G) phosphors and hue transformation glass ceramics were investigated over a 600–800 ºC sintering thermal range. With rising sintering heat, the illuminated strength and inner quantum yield (QY) of (abbreviated as B-G) phosphors and glass ceramics reduced. Once the sintering heat was raised above 750 ºC, the phosphors and hue transformation glass ceramics showed nearly no high point among their luminescence photoluminescence (PL) and photoluminescence excitation (PLE) bands of color. B-G phosphors have low heating steadiness at more elevated temperatures, according to the findings. The glass matrix destructed the phosphors lattice layout and the Ce3+ in the phosphors was oxidized to Ce4+, resulting in a reduction in the luminous characteristics of the color transformation glass ceramics.","PeriodicalId":37619,"journal":{"name":"Bulletin of Electrical Engineering and Informatics","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138614940","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed SPDT switch was designed for radio frequency (RF) front-end transceiver of antenna array multiple input multiple output (MIMO) in millimeter wave 28 GHz band. The switchable dumbbell-shaped DGS can be switched between allpass and bandstop responses where the bandstop response of the DGS can be utilized as a high isolation in the SPDT PIN diode switch circuit. A simple mathematical analysis is explained in this paper for the bandstop and allpass responses of the switchable dumbbell-shaped DGS. The propose SPDT switch was designed based on Roger RT/Duroid 5880 with 0.254 mm thickness and relative dielectric constant of 2.2. The simulated result showed that the proposed SPDT PIN diode switch produced an isolation of 36.36 dB at 27.3 GHz (center of 28 GHz band), which was 63% higher than the conventional SPDT design.","PeriodicalId":37619,"journal":{"name":"Bulletin of Electrical Engineering and Informatics","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138618683","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By exploiting the features provided by MPLS technology, a range of services, including IP telephony, have enhanced their overall performance. However, due to the size of the packet header, the IP telephony service consumes a significant portion of the MPLS network's available bandwidth. For instance, in IP telephony over MPLS networks, the packet header might account for as much as 80% of lost time and bandwidth. Designers working on IP telephony are making substantial efforts to address this issue. This study contributes to current efforts by proposing a novel approach called Tel-MPLS, which involves IP telephony over MPLS. TelMPLS approach uses the superfluous fields in the IP telephony packet's header to retain the packet data, therefore lowering or zeroing the IP telephony packet's payload. Tel-MPLS is an approach that significantly reduces the bandwidth of IP telephony MPLS networks. According to the findings, the Tel-MPLS approach is capable of reducing the amount of bandwidth that is lost by 12% when using the G.729 codec.","PeriodicalId":37619,"journal":{"name":"Bulletin of Electrical Engineering and Informatics","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138627083","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a result of the damage or death of brain neurons that generate dopamine patients tend to face difficulty when performing simple everyday tasks like walking, writing, or speaking. The main contribution of this work presents a hybrid method for improving predicting PD. This methodology has been obtained by means of testing a number of different combinations of classification algorithms and approaches for selecting attributes. A total of three attributes selection methods (correlation, information gain, and variance threshold) and three classifiers (decision trees (DT), naive bayes (NB), and support vector machine (SVM)) have been adopted. The speech data set provided by University of California-Irvine (UCI) machine learning (ML) repository is adopted to analyze the performance of different combinations. The combination of information gain and DT classifier achieved the best performance rather than other combination methods, reaching a classification accuracy of (97.43%). Finally, an additional comparison of the performance analysis with the results of previous studies was made and it was found that the proposed methodology proved to outperform the results of other studies conducted in this field.","PeriodicalId":37619,"journal":{"name":"Bulletin of Electrical Engineering and Informatics","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138611997","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These materials are easily damaged if the process performance is poor. Therefore, high technology in mechanics and precise control techniques are required in this system. In addition, because of parameter variation, strong nonlinearity, and many external noises, there are many challenges in controlling this process. This paper proposes a backstepping technique-based algorithm to control the web’s tension and velocity. To solve the parameter variation, a radial basis function (RBF) neural network-based adaptation algorithm is developed to approximate the varied components in the control algorithm. The system stability is guaranteed using the Lyapunov stability theorem. Simulations in MATLAB/Simulink have been done and the effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm is verified. Tension and velocity tracking can be obtained with parameter variations.","PeriodicalId":37619,"journal":{"name":"Bulletin of Electrical Engineering and Informatics","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138613434","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For these purposes, an indicator that evaluates the consumer's contribution to the distortion of current and voltage at the PCC is proposed, based on the previously carried out mathematical modeling of the power supply system (PSS) with two consumers. An evaluation of the distortion caused by three different non-linear loads on the consumers’ side is carried out in this study. The approbation of the proposed method was carried out on a laboratory bench, where various operation modes of linear and nonlinear loads were studied. Thus, the results proved that the proposed method could quantify the contribution of voltage and current distortion caused by three and more non-linear loads at the PCC of the consumer’s side. Besides, this proposed method can also be used to draw up recommendations for the mitigation of the harmonic currents compensation.","PeriodicalId":37619,"journal":{"name":"Bulletin of Electrical Engineering and Informatics","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138617960","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Applications of CBIR have been widely employed in medical images due to their direct impact on human life. With continues growing of digital libraries, there is a need for an efficient method to retrieve images from large datasets. In this paper, a new method was developed for CBIR based on the jumping particle swarm optimization (JPSO) algorithm. The proposed algorithm represents a developed instant of particle swarm optimization (PSO). However, JPSO the approach does not consider the velocity components to guide particle movements in the problem space. Instead of relying on inertia and velocity, intermittently random jumps (moves) occur from one solution to another within the discrete search space. To test the performance of the proposed algorithm, three types of medical image databases were used in the experiment which are the endoscopy 100, dental 100, and 50 skull image databases. The results show that the proposed algorithm could achieve high accuracy in image extraction and retrieve the accurate image category compared with other research works.","PeriodicalId":37619,"journal":{"name":"Bulletin of Electrical Engineering and Informatics","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138620292","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
