The study collected information from a total number of 60 health professionals including consultants, specialists, residents and general practitioners who were working in public and private health facilities in Riyadh city. The analysis showed that only one-thirds of respondents had complete understanding of the features of PPPs. About 33% of them identified most of the principles of PPP, whereas 50% of them could identify at least three principles. More than 70% of respondents identified improving access to quality health care to population as one of the major benefits of PPPs. Nearly 60% of them also highlighted that focus of PPP arrangements should be for providing primary health care and emergency care to the citizen. A significant percentage of physicians’ also identified areas like specialist care, radiology services and other laboratory services as focus areas for PPP in Saudi Arabia. However, they perceived many challenges in implementing PPPs, significant of which includes lack of policy driven strategy for PPP and absence of appropriate institutional structure in managing PPPs. The study concludes that there exists a low level of awareness among physicians’ on various aspects of PPPs in health care. The study recommends the need for improving awareness about PPPs among physicians, nurses, pharmacists, laboratory technicians and allied health professionals in the Kingdom.","PeriodicalId":375372,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Public Health and Health Administration Review","volume":"42 25","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139131098","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the greatest challenges in this regards is the existence of neonatal tetanus disease. Dera Ismail Khan is educationally backward, and the majority of the population lives in rural areas without proper access to health facilities. This study was aimed to intestate the neonatal tetanus cases. Literature review was undertaken, which suggested the use of case approach; therefore, the study used a case method of investigation. The case setting was District Headquarters Zanana (Women) Hospital Dera Ismail Khan, which is the only mother-child hospital in the southern districts of DIKhan, Tank, and Waziristan. The study reported that Tetanus remains a significant public health concern in the areas, with a high mortality rate and a need for improved prevention and management efforts. The majority of tetanus cases in the area occur among unvaccinated individuals, particularly among those who have not received tetanus toxoid-containing vaccine as part of routine immunization. There are significant disparities in tetanus vaccination coverage by region and socioeconomic status, which contribute to the burden of tetanus in vulnerable populations. Improving tetanus vaccination coverage and strengthening surveillance and management systems are important steps to lessen the burden of tetanus in Pakistan.","PeriodicalId":375372,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Public Health and Health Administration Review","volume":"25 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139132742","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research has identified that diabetes mellitus is frequently found among the patients with cardiovascular syndromes with its frequency around 40% in KP and Punjab provinces of Pakistan. This proportion of diabetics among patients with cardiovascular diseases one out of every three is very high i.e., 1: 4. The study reported that Diabetes is more dominant among the female in comparison to the male. However, it is found that the cardiovascular risk is higher among the females. Similarly, study has identified 13.2% nephropathy in the diabetes patients; again, its prevalence was high in the females. The study found that foot ulcer is also found in the women i.e., 10% among diabetes patients. The study concludes to create awareness among patients for such complication. It could be helpful in early detection and prevention of such diseases because it will help improve the life of diabetic patients. This study was helpful to see the complications in the diabetic patients and help in its control. For this purpose, they spend huge amounts of money on research and development of food safety and hygiene at production level. However, at consumer side, due attention is not paid, which may result in poor and unhygienic food handling practices by the people. This research paper aimed to hit the consumer side concerning food safety and hygiene practices. This research focused to study the ‘knowledge’, ‘attitude’, and ‘practice’ of food safety and hygiene at domestic level. For this purpose, a survey was conducted in Government Girls Degree College No.1, wherein the focus group was young female students studying in different programs. The primary data was collected by using an adaptive questionnaire from 188 students of which 180 questionnaires were found complete in all respect (response rate = 95.7%) and the same were used in data analysis. The results of Correlations show there is significant positive correlation of knowledge with attitude and practices. Similarly, the age, domicile, and subject play a major role in the ‘KAP’ study.","PeriodicalId":375372,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Public Health and Health Administration Review","volume":" 741","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139136446","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The methodology is supported by studies grounded on social exchange theory. An efficient sampling strategy was used to collect data from a representative sample of the government agency's population. A modified questionnaire was used to collect data from 297 workers at Basic Health Units in the Dera Ismail Khan area (BHUs). Dependability was analyzed with the use of reliability statistics. The 19-item scale was used to quantify the variable in this investigation, and its alpha value of.735 indicates its validity (WPB). Regression analysis in SPSS was used to examine the data. Positive and significant relationships were found between workplace bullying and factors such as the work environment, the support of coworkers, and the support of superiors. Results from a regression analysis of the factors influencing workplace bullying confirmed the importance of setting, management, and social support.","PeriodicalId":375372,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Public Health and Health Administration Review","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125829722","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
