Goal models depict users’ desires in terms of goals, namely, why-to-do; BPEL provides means to describe web service composition using WS-BPEL2.0, namely, how-to-do. However, there exists a gap between changes of individualized requirements and web service composition in the meet-in-the-middle pattern. So, in the paper we proposed an aspect-oriented approach to support web service composition evolution triggered by requirements evolution. The approach elevates the abstraction level of evolution modeling for web service composition, namely, from business process level to strategic goal level. The result is to make business level person capable of taking part in evolution modeling at requirements phase.","PeriodicalId":375180,"journal":{"name":"2009 Second Pacific-Asia Conference on Web Mining and Web-based Application","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-06-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122137497","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The online auction system based on the campus network provides a trading platform for university students, and does not deal with the trading process. So the online auction system must increase its quality of service to attract students. In this paper, we present a scheme for the online auction system using the unified modeling language (UML) technique. We adopt the two steps to design the scheme, and the design scheme of the system is made up of use case diagrams, activity diagrams, class diagrams, sequence diagrams, deployment diagrams. In addition, the scheme can provide certain reference values for constructing the campus electronic commerce and realizing the digital campus.","PeriodicalId":375180,"journal":{"name":"2009 Second Pacific-Asia Conference on Web Mining and Web-based Application","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-06-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128629551","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, patent data of different countries and organizations has been stored separately, which added to the difficulty for patent analysis with these free patent data. By using Web Mining method, we can retrieve the related patent information of a certain field from several patent website as data source. From web pages to structural patent database, we can use these free patent sources to obtain professional patent analysis result and useful knowledge. By using domain knowledge in ontology, retrieval system can improve semantic understanding of retrieval documents, and give the chance to user to put their information request in more nature way (more precise way), which will surely optimize the whole searching process and raise the relativity of query words and documents, further improve the recall and precision ratios of information retrieval. To perform the semantic expansion based on ontology, semantic expansion algorithm and semantic expansion functions based on ontology are proposed and used in the model. As is indicated by the experiment, this model is suitable for promoting online information retrieval and the accuracy of searching is highly improved.","PeriodicalId":375180,"journal":{"name":"2009 Second Pacific-Asia Conference on Web Mining and Web-based Application","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-06-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123764591","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the important problems in rough set theory is attribute reduction. In this paper, the statistic named oriented association coefficient among attributes of information systems is introduced, which measures the non-linear relationships between qualitative variables. Based on this statistic, we present a new discriminant theorem of attribute reduction in information systems. Furthermore, experiments show that our approach is feasible and efficient.","PeriodicalId":375180,"journal":{"name":"2009 Second Pacific-Asia Conference on Web Mining and Web-based Application","volume":"2014 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-06-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134275002","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper focused on Chinese foreign exchange market and examined whether RMB -USD forward exchange rate is unbiased estimate of the spot rate and tried to look for the reasons of the biased estimation by means of using aGARCH-in-mean approach. The results showed that the spot rate has a unit root while the forward exchange rate is I(d) with d ,1, implying long memory and forward exchange rate of RMB-USD is not unbiased estimate of the future spot exchange rate.Moreover, we found that a time-varying premium existing maybe was one reason of the biased estimation in China’s foreign exchange market.","PeriodicalId":375180,"journal":{"name":"2009 Second Pacific-Asia Conference on Web Mining and Web-based Application","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-06-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124924661","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
