To this end, a variety of key indicators are proposed, mainly at the national level, but they are not, firstly, associated with the lower levels of the hierarchy in management of economic production systems. Secondly, they do not reflect the need for business to introduce technological innovation that can reduce the material intensity of production. The aim of the work is to identify the ways to address these shortcomings and develop a new criterion indicator. To coordinate the economic interests of the main subjects of management in the market economy, a methodological approach is proposed, which consists in distributing outcomes and costs in using production factors at all hierarchy levels of economic management. A proportional relationship between material intensity and capital intensity of production, determining the impact of technological progress on the efficiency of economic resources has been established. As a result, the analytical relationship between the efficiency of natural resources use and the efficiency of individual firms introducing technological innovation in their activity has been revealed. It is shown that the economic efficiency of technological innovation should be calculated on the basis of the proposed new type of economic analysis, namely, the investment and innovation analysis. The object of this study shall be the Commercial banks of Cyprus. The paper reviews the impact of the macroeconomic changes on the Level of Non-performing loans in the Commercial banks of Cyprus between 2000 and 2018Q4. The macroeconomic indicators studied include: Gross Domestic Product at market prices Real GDP (GDP), Unemployment (UNEMP) and Inflation ratesHarmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP). The methodology of the study is based on theoretical and methodological analyses of scientific literature, statistical and econometric methods, as well as on observations, comparative method, description, measurements, analysis, modelling and forecasting. In order to develop the statistical models, representing the relationship between macroeconomic indicators and NPLs in Cyprus, the author is using a Simple linear correlation and such data analysis methods as Coefficient of correlation and Coefficient of determination. For creation of short-term forecast of NPLs in Cyprus between 2019 and 2022, the author has used a Simple linear regression. The results of this study show that the obtained Linear model of relationship between the UNEMP and NPLs is near perfect. Thus, this linear model is used by the author for the preparation of a short-term forecast. In turn, the Linear model of relationship between the HICP and NPLs is describing mentioned data and the studies confirm that a statistically significant linear dependency exists between UNEMP and HICP and NPLs in Cyprus. In addition, the obtained Linear model of relationship between GDP and NPLs does not describe mentioned data (no linear relationship or weak relationship) and the studies confirm that there is not enough evidence to prove that a statistically significant linear dependency exists between GDP and NPLs in Cyprus. In general, the author proposes that the people formulating policies in the country should pay special attention to the determinants of NPLs, since the deteriorating conditions of NPLs will affect both individual lenders and their ability to timely repay the loans, and also the banking establishments and the general financial system of Cyprus. The practical significance of the studies carried out in the scope of the paper is in the fact that the obtained results of the studies may be used as an informative material for the government, business and educational purposes. The expansion of technicism and economism can be explained with the fact that ecological consciousness and thinking patterns are underdeveloped. The socio-ecological control, on one hand, is based on redevelopment of consciousness and mind of a human being from the processes of subjugation and destruction of nature in the direction of self-limitation, meaning learning to govern while submitting; and on the other hand, to review economical, legislative and organizational norms of social control. We observe the scientific methods of socio-ecological control that can optimize this process. The management decision in the ecosystems is a result of compromising, adapting and considering various interests that are inherent to a human being, a society and interests of consumers of the controlled system. The modern system of socio-ecological management is based on a radical reevaluation of the activity of both controlling and controlled parties. The results of this assessment can reduce the risks posed by projects which are already implemented. Current trends in the development of environmental safety in the assessment should be aimed at improving the level of environmental protection during construction. The environmental assessment of the construction in the region should take into account the optimal conditions for preventing the damage to the population, both during construction and throughout the entire life cycle of the designed facility. The environmental problem of finding the optimal mutual location of objects should take into account a large number of factors that determine the cost of construction of a specific type of objects in a given territory, the cost of organizing infrastructure and the improvement of a given territory. It is necessary to formulate a criterion for the optimal location of objects, taking into account the current environmental situation and to predict the costs of environmental restoration, for example, socially significant costs of restoring people's health. The use of calculations contributes to reducing the environmental burden of the region, improving the quality of life of the population, rational use of territories and resources, which in general will affect its favorable development. The favorable development of all regions, with its natural features, provides prospective well-being of the country as a whole.
