The following charge materials were involved and studied in the work: ilmenite concentrate from the Shokash deposit (Aktobe region, Martuk district), high-ash coals, indispensable for domestic purposes for their intended purpose. Derivatographic analysis was used to study the thermal properties of the charge. To compare the electrical resistance of coals in order to select an effective reducing agent, in this work, measurements of the electrical resistance of high-ash coals from the Saryadyr, Borly and Ekibastuz deposit were carried out. As a result, it was found that for the smelting of a new complex titanium-containing ferroalloy, high-ash coal from the Saryadyr deposit is most applicable.","PeriodicalId":373991,"journal":{"name":"Engineering Journal of Satbayev University","volume":"66 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125335129","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The article presents the results of experimental studies of electric melting of leaching tailings of copper oxidized ore of the Almaly deposit containing by weight, %: 70.9 SiO2, 15.9 Al2O3, 2.1 MaO, 2.4 CaO, 3.6 K2O, 2.2 Na2O, 2.0 Fe2O3, 0.4 TiO2, 0.2 BaO, 0.2 CuO to obtain ferrosilicon. The studies were carried out using a single-electrode single-phase arc furnace with adjustable power, as well as the method of rotatable second-order research (Box-Hunter plan). The influence of the amount of coke and steel chips on the degree of silicon extraction into the alloy and its grade was determined. It was found that with a constant amount of coke, an increase in the charge of steel chips increases the extraction of silicon into the ferroalloy and reduces the concentration of Si in it. The influence of coke on the behavior of silicon has a lesser effect. Based on the obtained volumetric and planar images of changes in the extraction of silicon into the alloy and its composition, geometric optimization of the process was carried out. It was found that ferrosilicon grade FeSi25 with the extraction of 70-75% silicon in it is formed in the presence of 30-31.3% coke, 31.3-32.0% steel chips. To obtain ferrosilicon of the FeSi45 brand, with the extraction of 70-76% silicon, the amount of coke should be 32.2-36.3%, and steel chips 25.6-28.3% of the mass of the brags; in the presence of 24-25.2% of steel chips, 30.7-36.3% of coke, ferrosilicon of the FeSi50 brand should be smelted from the tailings.","PeriodicalId":373991,"journal":{"name":"Engineering Journal of Satbayev University","volume":"65 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114284416","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The reason for the choice of these components is that they are used to regulate the slag mode in the process of melting ferrochrome alloy. The article presents the results of thermodynamic changes in the use of free chromium slag in the high-temperature zone and easily melting aluminosilicate slags of various compositions. Thermodynamic modeling during the firing of chrome pellets was carried out using the “TERRA” software package. Full thermodynamic modeling was carried out on the basis of a multicomponent CaO-MgO-Fe2O3-Al2O3-SiO2 system at a temperature range of 800-1800°C and at a pressure of 0.1 MPа. As initial data for determining the parameters of thermodynamic equilibrium for the actual compositions of the chromium pellet firing charges, the host rock of chromium ore (the host part of the rock) and fluxing additives (aluminosilicate material) with different ratios were used. It was found that with the following optimal content of the fluxing material: SiO2 50-55%; Al2O3 14-16%; CaO 12-14%; MgO 5-8%; FeO 5-8%, the sintering process of chrome pellets can be carried out at relatively low temperatures (1200-1300°C). A significant amount of lumpy waste with a low content of Cr2O3 (~ 5-7% w/w) is formed when Kazakhstani chrome raw materials are processed by gravitation methods, and they can only be used as backfill in mine construction or as a component in building and road-building mixtures. Wastes from chromium deposits in Kazakhstan are located in close proximity to oil deposits in the Aktobe region, which are characterized by a high content of sulfur-containing heavy oils, which can be jointly disposed of in the form of sulfur concrete. Composite material - sulfur concrete is produced based on sulfur polymer binder - GreenCrete™ modified sulfur under GOST R 56249-2014. The possibilities of the sulfur-concrete composite formation process for the use of beneficiation tails of 10-160 mm class chromium raw material as inert materials have been studied. The characteristics of the samples obtained during the tests allow us to draw conclusions about the relatively successful encapsulation of chromium production waste in an amount of 15% by weight of the sample with the formation of sulfur concrete of the M400 class, while with a 10% content of materials for enrichment of chromium raw materials, the M500 indicator was achieved.","PeriodicalId":373991,"journal":{"name":"Engineering Journal of Satbayev University","volume":"454 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133929772","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Efficient technologies development for processing of technogenic raw materials, which make it possible to obtain competitive products from it for various industries, is urgent task. Article deals with development of solution compositions for strengthening and hardening quarry slopes. Rock mass hardening in weakened areas is achieved by loading substances into cracks of array, which after hardening and setting of rock, significantly increase its resistance to shear. Loading of reinforcing substance into bulk mass is carried out under pressure, and as hardening material, we consider cement resins, silicates and polymer resins. The most common among hardening methods was cementing of rocks, when working in aquifers rocks, strengthening of unstable and disturbed massifs. With help of strengthening, it is possible to slow down processes of weathering and shedding of rocks, to prevent collapse of ledges and shedding of rocks from slopes surface. Possibility of obtaining solutions for strengthening fractured rocks and building structures has been studied. Study results of wastes of the Akshatau Mining and Processing Plant are presented and possibility of using them for solutions to strengthen fractured rocks is confirmed. Loading of hardening composition into the array is carried out under pressure, and we consider cement solution, silicates and polymer resins as hardening material. The most widespread among hardening methods is cementation during mine workings (underground structures) in fractured rocks. Significance of obtained results for construction industry lies in expansion and reproduction of raw material base of building materials industry through use of MMC waste (concentration tailings) and development of resource-saving technologies.","PeriodicalId":373991,"journal":{"name":"Engineering Journal of Satbayev University","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133084346","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such large levels of deformation are usually achievable in high pressure twisting of small flat disks, but are difficult to achieve in large bulk bars. The method of radial shear rolling makes it possible to achieve comparable ultrahigh degrees of deformation (~ 45 mm/mm) in combination with the vortex flow of the metal. Sequential rolling of the E110 zirconium alloy was carried out under extreme conditions on 2 radial shear rolling mills with a total reduction in diameter ε = 185% and a maximum accumulated deformation = 46 mm/mm. To assess the level of deformation and its distribution over the section, FEM modeling was carried out in Deform-3D. The resulting structure was studied by electron microscopy (TEM/SEM). A detailed cross-sectional study of the EBSD structure was performed with a resolution of 1 mm. A gradient structure with a predominance of an equiaxed ultrafine-grained structure was found, which was not very pronounced compared to the use of smaller deformations.","PeriodicalId":373991,"journal":{"name":"Engineering Journal of Satbayev University","volume":"37 4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124258053","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The method is based on the concept of reproducing qualimetrically averaged sets of contents, zonal based on the nature of their distribution and the uniformity of their values, using the qualimetric geoindicator property of the modal concentration of ores. The fundamental difference of the method is in achieving the reliability of the planned average grade - \"by areas of qualimetrically averaged grades\" instead of the traditional one - \"by grouped point samples\", in which stabilization of the quality of ores is achieved before mining. Based on the results of qualimetric averaging of grades, qualimetric maps are compiled containing geological zones of high-quality and ordinary ores, and ores with modal grades, and consumer quality calculation blocks. In-situ-experimentally confirmed the feasibility of the minimum limits of deviations of the contents of the initial production coming to the processing and processing processes from the planned ones for the extraction sites, achieved when extracting the reserves of the reproduced sites of ordinary, high-quality, high-quality and near-edge ores.
