In this paper the principle of dielectric rod antenna is introduced and CST Microwave Studio is used to simulate the influence of antenna parameters, optimized dielectric rod antenna designed. The optimized dielectric rod antenna can raise the gain of the antenna by controlling the length of the antenna but not the cross-section, provide a broadband input matching, small side-lobe, coupling and cross polarization. The antenna is suitable for the arrangement of the array and and better edge illumination to realize better illumination effect to the lens.","PeriodicalId":373922,"journal":{"name":"2009 IEEE International Workshop on Imaging Systems and Techniques","volume":"304 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-05-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131444003","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An extrinsic calibration method, achieved by measuring the fixed point (the center of a standard ball) of the measuring system with the sensor on the different positions, was proposed. After collecting the images of the line structured-light stripe on the ball, the information of the slices can be extracted by direction template. The coordinate of the ball center in the laser plane frame can be calculated more accurately though image filtration and slice denoising. The extrinsic matrix can be solved by the conjugate pairs, which include the coordinates of both the ball center in the laser plane frame and the sensor in the measuring system. Experimental study was carried out on a four-axis CMM with a ball supplied by CIMCORE, of which the diameter was 25.40145 mm. 203 conjugate pairs were extracted and the extrinsic parameters were calculated. The ball was fitted with the calibrated parameters and the measured point cloud on the ball surface. The average error of the radius calculated was 0.0052mm. This method is simple; it can also be used in non-orthogonal measurement system.","PeriodicalId":373922,"journal":{"name":"2009 IEEE International Workshop on Imaging Systems and Techniques","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-05-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134246494","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

On this basis, a new expression of DR imaging model was proposed according to the actual imaging noise and enforceability of corrective action, and so the projection image was decomposed into dark field, gain, scattering and transmission. According to the model, the integrated projection image artifact corrections were processed on the order of dark field correction, gain non-uniformity correction, scattering correction and beam hardening correction, to avoid the one-sidedness of only correcting a certain kind of artifact. Experimental result shows that the method can basically eliminate the artifacts caused by DR imaging in the CBCT system.","PeriodicalId":373922,"journal":{"name":"2009 IEEE International Workshop on Imaging Systems and Techniques","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-05-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114730995","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To overcome the shortcomings of the existing analogue ECT system, a new 16-electrode digital electrical capacitance tomography system based on FPGA and DSP is designed. The new scheme can easily realize single frequency and multi-frequency excitation and demodulation. Furthermore, two kinds of methods for multi-frequency demodulation, DFT demodulation and digital quadrature demodulation, are discussed deeply. Static and dynamic experiments under condition of single frequency are carried out to verify the performance of the digital ECT system. Experimental results show that this system is of high precision and stability.","PeriodicalId":373922,"journal":{"name":"2009 IEEE International Workshop on Imaging Systems and Techniques","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-05-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124805050","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The pose estimation is achieved by a three-dimensional registration method. This paper presents this novel method for the registration of the rotated and translated part according to its camera images and three-dimensional model. The spatial registration parameters can be computed by finding which projection of the volume is the most similar to the given image. We propose a three-step procedure. First, we compute the Fourier transform (FT) of the volume projection by using FT projection theorem. Then, a cost function is designed according to the magnitude of projection FT and image FT. Last, an optimization algorithm called Small World Clonal Selection Algorithm (SWCSA) is applied to obtain spatial registration parameters. SWCSA combines the good local search ability in clonal selection algorithm and the random long-range search operator in small world, so the global optimization ability is enhanced. Experimental results demonstrate that the registration is accurate and robust.","PeriodicalId":373922,"journal":{"name":"2009 IEEE International Workshop on Imaging Systems and Techniques","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-05-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125069926","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An improved edge adaptive color demosaicking method is presented. Edges are detected by an improved edge indicator, and missing color values are estimated in chosen direction. In estimation stage, weighted average of Taylor series is adopted. Experimental results show that the proposed scheme with a good balance between memory size and computational complexity not only outperforms other existed methods in subjective visual quality but also in terms of peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) with 1.8 dB improvement on the average over testing images.","PeriodicalId":373922,"journal":{"name":"2009 IEEE International Workshop on Imaging Systems and Techniques","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-05-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125541968","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The rotational parameters are proved to be separate with the others, which means the motion has the potential to be decoupled. Viewing the moving object as a dynamic system, called moving object system, motion estimating is formulated as a state estimation problem. Decoupling the moving object system into two sub-systems, then the dual-sequential-Kalman-filter can be designed to estimate the states of the moving object system, thus a high dimension filter is replaced with two reduced ones. As time cost in computing depends on the third power of the dimension of the estimator, the time-consuming problem is solved partly. The performance of dual-sequential-Kalman-filter is illustrated using both simulated and real image sequences, two important merits, accuracy and robustness, are presented with the experiment results.","PeriodicalId":373922,"journal":{"name":"2009 IEEE International Workshop on Imaging Systems and Techniques","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-05-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128198766","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There is a need to discriminate between such components, or to identify specific materials, while retaining fast performance to permit the tracking of process dynamics. To deliver this need a method is outlined that utilizes a compressed, wideband excitation signal to produce response data. These are then pre-processed into segmented datasets for frequencies of interest, which in turn yield frequency-banded tomograms. These data must be fused to gain process component discrimination or identification and hence deliver the benefits. The paper describes a number of potential data fusion methods: exploiting a look-up table of known process components; and identification via a process model. Simulation based trials are described and their results are presented in overview and evaluated as a key step in the development of spectro-tomography as a new process sensing and measurement method.","PeriodicalId":373922,"journal":{"name":"2009 IEEE International Workshop on Imaging Systems and Techniques","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-05-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121757645","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
