Optimality of maintenance supervision and management procedure emerges more urgent today. Complexity of technology used in the modern medical devices, economic issues in repair and maintenance tasks, growing number of clinical centers and hospitals, need for speed in fault detection and removing the technical drawbacks as well as reduction of medical equipment down-time and efficient reliable feedback of the customers’ usage and facilities for research and development purposes, all lie among numerous reasons which mandate a blockbuster in automation of maintenance and repair of medical facilities in an integrated manner. Undoubtedly, such an integrated system yields in dynamic and competent PM (Predictive or Preventive Maintenance). Not only does this article draw a big picture of the associated scenario, but also it gets concentrated on the necessities for establishing such a huge infrastructure in a conceptual and intuitive way. Moreover, a preliminary model for integrated automated maintenance management supervisory software is already put into one’s prospective without going to the details of software engineering aspects. Demonstrating the conversed principles, some pilot non-software similar implemented procedures are shown as great consequences to promote the backbone of the novel idea supporting one who wants to arrange for production of an automated procedure.","PeriodicalId":369090,"journal":{"name":"2019 3rd International Conference on Internet of Things and Applications (IoT)","volume":"136 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123587847","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this UAVs mission, due to battery-powered, the shortest possible path between sensors should be found. In this paper, two optimization methods including ant colony algorithm and simulated annealing algorithm are modeled in three-dimensional mode to compare the performance and execution time of these two methods in different size of sensors. The results shows the SA optimization can be performed faster than an ant colony optimization for benchmarks in which the number of sensors is less than 50.","PeriodicalId":369090,"journal":{"name":"2019 3rd International Conference on Internet of Things and Applications (IoT)","volume":"50 3","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132638958","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

LPWANs are outstanding and popular networks have been deployed for implementation of IoT networks. Similarly, AMI and AMR networks are expanding which are used for the purpose of smart meter reading and two-way communication between meters (subscribers) and servers (utility providers). Some pioneer and developed countries are combining these two new technologies to earn modern and optimized AMI network based on IoT technology. In this paper we have focused on one of the emerging and promising LPWAN standards called LoraWAN and have tried to utilize it to implement AMI/AMR network in a big city of Tehran. One of the main challenges to perform this, is the detailed design of topology and parameter determination of the LoraWAN we have carried out in this research. Our obtained results show that LoraWAN is not a good and perfect choice to implement AMI network in Tehran.","PeriodicalId":369090,"journal":{"name":"2019 3rd International Conference on Internet of Things and Applications (IoT)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122101824","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Condition monitoring is a key element of the maintenance program. Most comprehensive predictive maintenance programs use vibration as the primary parameter to monitor. However, the typical process of vibration monitoring relies too much on the human factor and has limitations. To overcome these shortcomings, a method is proposed in this paper. Moreover, the potential IoT using for smart maintenance is demonstrated. Additionally, it is explained how it can shape the maintenance toward the Industry 4.0. and how industrial IoT can help the condition monitoring of rotating machinery using vibration analysis. In this way, a method is proposed to make rotating machinery to IoT enabled devices by adding hardware to them. This hardware was designed and developed based on the requirements. Moreover, a new generation of accelerometer sensors has been introduced to measure the vibrations. For this purpose, a data acquisition web application is developed to evaluate the hardware. The evaluations show the quite precise of the results.","PeriodicalId":369090,"journal":{"name":"2019 3rd International Conference on Internet of Things and Applications (IoT)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115192402","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, the role of traffic management will save time and fuel consumption and reduce environmental pollution. In recent years, Internet of Things (IoT) and smart cities drive a new field of intelligent traffic management. In this paper, a new method for traffic light control is presented by using the combination of IoT and image and video processing techniques. In the proposed models, traffic light scheduling is determined based on the density and the number of passing vehicles. Moreover, it is implemented by Raspberry-Pi board and OpenCV tool. The analytical and experimental results indicate the efficiency provided by the proposed models in intelligent traffic management.","PeriodicalId":369090,"journal":{"name":"2019 3rd International Conference on Internet of Things and Applications (IoT)","volume":"77 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123212249","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main feature of this architecture is separation of control plane and data plane, and logically concentrating network strategic intelligence in a network location. Real-time traffics generated by mobile users still require small end-to-end delay and small handover latency during the user handover, to make smooth communication for users. Most IoT application traffic fall within this category. While the amount of transmitted data in IoT applications might be considerably smaller than that of real-time multimedia applications, many IoT applications have low tolerance to large delays. In this paper, we improved end-to-end delay and handover latency by proposing an SDN-based scheme with a cross-layer approach. We show that the mentioned delays are reduced by using our method. We evaluated our method by using Mininet-WiFi [13] Emulator. We have also reduced the number of handover that users encounter during their mobility.","PeriodicalId":369090,"journal":{"name":"2019 3rd International Conference on Internet of Things and Applications (IoT)","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127660173","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
