Abstract
in this article, a conceptual design and initial structure is proposed to exploit IoT (Internet-of-things) concept and scenarios for Smart maintenance of medical equipment. Optimality of maintenance supervision and management procedure emerges more urgent today. Complexity of technology used in the modern medical devices, economic issues in repair and maintenance tasks, growing number of clinical centers and hospitals, need for speed in fault detection and removing the technical drawbacks as well as reduction of medical equipment down-time and efficient reliable feedback of the customers’ usage and facilities for research and development purposes, all lie among numerous reasons which mandate a blockbuster in automation of maintenance and repair of medical facilities in an integrated manner. Undoubtedly, such an integrated system yields in dynamic and competent PM (Predictive or Preventive Maintenance). Not only does this article draw a big picture of the associated scenario, but also it gets concentrated on the necessities for establishing such a huge infrastructure in a conceptual and intuitive way. Moreover, a preliminary model for integrated automated maintenance management supervisory software is already put into one’s prospective without going to the details of software engineering aspects. Demonstrating the conversed principles, some pilot non-software similar implemented procedures are shown as great consequences to promote the backbone of the novel idea supporting one who wants to arrange for production of an automated procedure.
