Much of the focus of previous research has been on conventional autonomy which targets autonomous flight, navigation and sensor capabilities. New application areas, such as package delivery, border monitoring and emergency rescue response are making it increasingly clear that additional levels of autonomous capability will be required, in particular, shared autonomy between human operators and teams of heterogeneous unmanned aircraft systems and the use of on-board automated planning and reasoning techniques. In this talk, I will present a delegation-based collaborative robotics framework that can be used with teams of robots and humans to leverage their distinct capabilities in solving complex mission goals. Instantiations of the framework will be considered using various scenarios involving teams of humans and unmanned aerial vehicles.","PeriodicalId":368038,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Networking, Sensing and Control","volume":"100 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122978715","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the correlation and redundancy among hyperspectral bands reduce the accuracy of traditional sea ice detection methods. Based on the spectral characteristics of sea ice, this study presents an improved similarity measurement method based on linear prediction (ISMLP) to detect sea ice. First, the first original band with a large amount of information is determined based on the mutual information theory. Subsequently, the second original band with the least similarity is chosen by the spectral correlation measure method. Finally, the subsequent bands are selected through the linear prediction method, and the support vector machine classifier model is utilized for sea ice classification. In the experiments of Baffin Bay, comparative analyses are carried out between the proposed method and traditional sea ice detection methods. Our proposed ISMLP method achieves the highest classification accuracy of 91.1805% in the experiment. The experimental results indicate that the ISMLP method exhibits better performance overall than other methods and can be effectively applied in hyperspectral sea ice detection.","PeriodicalId":368038,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Networking, Sensing and Control","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114847419","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, a position tracking controller based on fuzzy sliding mode control is presented and applied to an AFPMM servo system. High torque capability at a relatively low and large speed range is achieved. Fuzzy sliding mode control weakens chattering in sliding mode control, and helps the system meet the requirement for high accuracy in servo system. A simulation model is constructed based on a Matlab/Simulink platform. The numerical results confirm that the proposed control system can track given signals accurately with desired control performance.","PeriodicalId":368038,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Networking, Sensing and Control","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-04-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121872565","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, a dynamic priority-based multitasking mechanism is put forward and null space is used to solve the redundant problem. Self-balancing constraints are introduced into task space to merge with end-effector tracking tasks. A pickup behavior is divided into walking, arm swinging and bending forward tasks, which utilizes linear inverse pendulum and momentum control method. Also, self-collision avoidance is treated as a self-balancing constraint. The proposed algorithms are carried out on Nao robot in simulation and the results show that the robot is able to keep balance in real time while executing the pre-planned motion.","PeriodicalId":368038,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Networking, Sensing and Control","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-04-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130940655","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper begins by introducing AC within the context of solving a real world problem. Next, AC problems are formalized based on the Environment-Class, Agent, Role, Group, and Object (E-CARGO) model. Three algorithms are then proposed for solving AC problems. These algorithms are based on three different scenarios: the current group state, the group state after a definite period of time and the group state all over the collaboration, respectively. Experiments are developed to analyze the performance of each proposed algorithm. Results indicate that the proposed algorithms perform better than static collaboration.","PeriodicalId":368038,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Networking, Sensing and Control","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-04-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133257529","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The intelligent community context service can collect context by sensing nodes and handle the context to push the helpful information to the resident. Given the resident requirements in terms of the accuracy of data and timeliness of the service, the service must deliver the right context information to the right user at the right time. Hence, the quality of the collected context is especially important. Because of the dynamic network topology of the intelligent community, the quality indicators of the context vary over time. Consequently, the context quality is a decreasing function of time and context can be processed with a certain delay from its capturing time. The paper proposes the method that collects context based on the optimal stopping theory. The intelligent community context service delays the processing of the incoming context until the better quality context captured by the proposed method. And good quality context is favor of the context reasoning. Finally, the experiments are presented to confirm the validity of the proposed approach.","PeriodicalId":368038,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Networking, Sensing and Control","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-04-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115284471","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A snapshot system based on HLBS(Hadoop Distributed File System based Log-Structured Block storage System) is designed and implemented. By this design, new snapshots are added to HLBS, from which user data could be saved and recovered for cloud storage system HLBS. HLBS is implemented upon Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) with the idea of Log-Structured File System (LFS) without changing the source code of HDFS. Snapshot system of HLBS could not only prevent data from missing but also help HLBS rollback and forward to any time of storage data. To improve the expandabilities, availabilities and fault-tolerance of HLBS, snapshot system is a good feature to be realized. The main methods to study WSC include workflow, process algebra and semantics. It's very possible that user's goal is not consistent with WSC's goal. For this, a new method of WSC based on BDI (Belief-Desire-Intention) has been provided. In this method, Belief and Desire are mapped into the environment and the goal of web service (and user) respectively. Intention and WSC are determined by them. An improved BDI model has been applied to WSC and dynamic evolution of established processes. At last, a classic example in web service, travel service process, is utilized to illustrate the consistency between WSC's goal and user's goal.","PeriodicalId":368038,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Networking, Sensing and Control","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-04-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114956964","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Traditional ways are usually to mount additional sensors on the mechanical components; however, those ways have two unavoidable defects: Firstly, sampled vibration signals are susceptible to other useless signals from nearby components or surroundings and the signal-to-noise ratio is often low; Secondly, it may be not allowed to mount additional sensors or wires in some places. In this paper, one way of embedded vibration signals acquisition wirelessly is studied. Firstly, finite element model method is used to analyze and modified mechanical structures. Then micro-sensor module of vibration is designed considering two key factors: lower power consumption and small size. In the end, the proposed method is testified on one bearing and the results demonstrate that it is more effective to obtain useful fault signals than traditional methods.","PeriodicalId":368038,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Networking, Sensing and Control","volume":"185 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122768237","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
