Considering the growing importance of the principle of open access to research data, particularly data collected with public funding, and the unification of data sharing practices on a global level, the goal is to examine the sharing and archiving potential for research data in the Republic of North Macedonia. According to the findings, a significant amount of research data is created in the country. Despite being predominantly financed from international funds, respondents’ positive attitudes towards data sharing and the satisfactory degree of willingness for depositing data into an accredited data archive/repository, demonstrate a good potential in the country for saving existing data towards further use of existing data for new scientific purposes.","PeriodicalId":36799,"journal":{"name":"Balkan Social Science Review","volume":"44 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84590998","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Heterogeneous composition is represented on different levels of social interaction and social inclusion. Regional disparities are also characteristic of a specific Macedonian interethnic model. The northwest part of the country is dominated by the second largest ethnic group, the Albanian population, and in the rest of the country, Macedonians are the dominant ethnic group. Also, throughout the country other ethnic groups as Turkish, Roma, Serbian, Vlah and other communities are present. Regarding this composition, different patterns of social interethnic inclusion can be traced, as well as models of building stereotypes and levels of ethnic distance. This paper will use data of research conducted in 2015, comparing similar previous research published in 1997 and 2004.","PeriodicalId":36799,"journal":{"name":"Balkan Social Science Review","volume":"14 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82563258","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

What if the publication of information that is incorrect has the potential to cause some sort of damage or harm to an individual or the public? The problem of misinformation then raises the issue of legal interference and regulation. The vast problem today is that any posting on social networks can be spread and be shared with high speed, and the mere fact that a court ordered the removal of an original defamatory statement will often have no positive effects for the injured party since the information has been and will continue to be shared on the profiles of other users. In its recent decision in Case C-18/18 Eva GlawischnigPiesczek v Facebook Ireland Limited, the Court of the European Union sets out rules for imposing an obligation on an information society service provider, ie. a social network, to delete and /or block access to identical and equivalent posts and links previously declared to be illegal without breach of Article 15 of the E-Commerce Directive. This is a significant judgment with global implications. Before this judgement, at the request of a national court, posted content in the requesting state has been removed, but after this judgement, the force of the law can compel the controversial content in question to be removed from all servers around the world. An analysis of the judgment leads to the conclusion that the confirmation that a national court is entitled to request the removal of posts on a worldwide basis points to the fact that the Court of the European Union understands the limitations and unfairness of solutions when social networks restrict access to offensive and defamatory content only for IP addresses from a specific country. This decision extends the reach of EU legislation concerning the internet outside its borders. However, a high level of caution should be maintained so that excessive scrutiny of published content does not violate the freedom of expression.","PeriodicalId":36799,"journal":{"name":"Balkan Social Science Review","volume":"276 1","pages":"7-25"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83280470","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study presents a brief description of modern European football, including the phenomenon of financial oligarchization of sport, and uneven redistribution of the benefits of sport. The following section presents the relation between lex sportiva and state law; the legal position and importance of UEFA; licensing system rules for participating in games. Particular attention was paid to regulating the impact of participation in proceedings giving protection against creditors on obtaining and maintaining a license. Attributes of proceedings in case of threat of insolvency and insolvency are presented as well. Finally, there is presented an example of national regulation which is in force in Poland (a Member State of the European Union).The final conclusion is a recommendation for a strategic change in the licensing system's approach to the problem of proceedings giving protection against creditors.","PeriodicalId":36799,"journal":{"name":"Balkan Social Science Review","volume":"435 1","pages":"198-219"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77404821","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The latter was revised three times, but the family law required and especially children‟s law radical substantive, both material and procedural changes and adjustments. One of the key novelties of the new Family Code is the extension of the powers of Slovenian notaries. In addition to their pre-existing responsibilities (e.g. agreement on the division of joint property), the new Family Code also gave them jurisdiction in the area of divorce. The spouses may, by fulfilling prescribed legal requirements, divorce by mutual agreement before a notary. The spouses are, therefore, allowed to reach an uncontested divorce without the involvement of the court, as has been done transiently by many European and non-European countries. The Slovenian legislature wanted to simplify, facilitate and shorten the divorce procedure on one hand, and on the other hand, this new regulation would also contribute to the relief of the courts and the increase of the spouses' autonomy. The author analyses the new legal arrangement for an uncontested divorce before a notary in Slovenia and in the selected comparative national regulations.","PeriodicalId":36799,"journal":{"name":"Balkan Social Science Review","volume":"15 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78097557","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
