KESAN was developed to measure and monitor worker performance in Agro-industrial Small-Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs). It was developed using Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model based on Kansei Engineering approach. The training and validation data was collected from four types of Food's SMEs in Special Region of Yogyakarta. ANN's weight is transformed in to Arduino. There were 12 inputs of KESAN as total mood disturbance, heart rate, workstations temperature, relative humidity, lighting and noise, which were measured before and after working. The worker performance was indicated by LED signal of green (normal workers), yellow (CCW) and red (OCW). This research concluded KESAN as a low cost, portable, practicable and intermediate information technology for SMEs.","PeriodicalId":367771,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Science in Information Technology (ICSITech)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125202591","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This disease is incurable, the therapy existing today is only able to help to relieve the symptoms. Hence, an early diagnose is deemed essential to determine an accurate type of therapy. Parkinson disease can be diagnosed by examining the symptoms apparent to the patient. One of the symptoms is the existence of dysphonia (weakness in voice production) to the patients with Parkinson. This research purposely is to examine the diagnosis of Parkinson disease through the measurement of voice data obtained from UCI repository. The dataset of the voice was initially normalized before conducting the feature selection by means of a number of methods including Correlation-based Feature Selection (CFS), Principal Component Analysis (PCA), Wrapper and conducting without feature selection. The data that has been selected later was classified using four classifiers including Support Vector Machine (SVM), k-Nearest Neighbour (kNN), Bayesian Network and Multi Layer Perceptron (MLP). All of the processes conducted using WEKA 3.6. The result revealed that the highest accuracy was obtained at 98.97% with the sensitivity of 99.32% and specificity of 97.92% from the use of feature selection of Wrapper using kNN classifiers.","PeriodicalId":367771,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Science in Information Technology (ICSITech)","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129586097","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since employing the first lag variable and using fuzzy logical relationship to derive the forecasting value, 1st order FTS is often unsuccessful in analyzing trend time series. On the other hand, moving averages can be used to quickly identify the direction of trend by smoothing the data. However, moving averages are lagging indicators that will always be a step behind and give late signals. Therefore, It had better not use moving averages alone as a forecasting model. This paper proposed a hybrid approach based on moving averages and weighted fuzzy time series (WFTS) model to analyze and forecast the trend time series data. By using both models jointly, it is expected that the different forms of pattern in time series data can be captured. This hybrid model takes advantage of moving averages in identifying trend direction and WFTS to model the stationary residuals series after removing trend effect using moving averages. The proposed moving averages and WFTS hybrid approach is applied to historical enrollment data for the University of Alabama and maize production data for Indonesia. Comparisons with other previous methods proposed in the literature show that combination of moving averages and WFTS model yields the smallest root mean square error (RMSE).","PeriodicalId":367771,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Science in Information Technology (ICSITech)","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128706194","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The conversations in most chatbot are still using a keyboard as the input. Keyboard input is considered ineffective as the conversation is not natural without any saying and a conversation is not just about words. Therefore, this paper propose a design of a chatbot with avatar and voice interaction to make a conversation more alive. This proposed approach method will come from using several API and using its output as another input to next API. It would take speech recognition to take input from user, then proceed it to chatbot API to receive the chatbot reply in a text form. The reply will be processed to text-to-speech recognition and created a spoken, audio version of the reply. Last, the computer will render an avatar whose gesture and lips are sync with the audio reply. This design would make every customer service or any service with human interaction can use it to make interaction more natural. This design can be further explored with additional tool such as web camera to make the agent can analyze the user's emotion and reaction.","PeriodicalId":367771,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Science in Information Technology (ICSITech)","volume":"146 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116472559","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Knowledge management is known as one of the key factors for the enterprises to have a sustainable competitive advantage. Many enterprises would like to have knowledge management implemented in their company but they are often confused about the direction how to create a successful knowledge management and this point is especially true for small to medium enterprises (SMEs). Besides the blurry of the step in creating a good knowledge management for SMEs, they also have a lot of doubts of it as knowledge management may costs too much. This skepticism drives SMEs owner to be afraid to spend their resources to implement a knowledge management and it may make them lose their competitive advantage. Methodologies for this research are literature view, observations, interview, and case study. This research is focus to create a model of knowledge management strategy that may help SMEs to better understanding about the useful of knowledge and how to implement the model easily.","PeriodicalId":367771,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Science in Information Technology (ICSITech)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125642436","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, they require relevant supports and timely feedback to motivate them progress effectively in their studies. In absence of face to face interactions, tutors are unable to understand clearly the problems faced by the learners and thus they are not given the right timely feedback. This research is part of a doctoral research and the aim of this paper is to firstly, investigate the types of supports that learners look for in a completely online course and secondly, identify a convenient environment to enable tutors track the learners' progress and give personalized assistance. As methodology, a content analysis of four synchronous tutorial chats, of 998 lines of interactions, was done based on activity theory of Engestrom. An online tutor and his ten learners participated in the chats, enabling them to interact freely with the focus of successfully completing the assignment set. Result depicts the human behaviour of learners enrolled in a completely online course: they queried on the rules, the procedures of the course as well as on the expectations of the tutor. The interactions were focused towards meeting the objectives of the course but they were not dominated by meta-cognitive interactions. Thus, we propose for relevant variables to be logged to enable tutors to understand learner's progress and to give efficient support based on the analysis of learning analytics of learners' past interactions. Learners' behaviours via their interactions, will enable tutors identify lurkers, active and passive learners. This research is a stepping stone in identifying patterns with regards to tutors and learners' interactions.","PeriodicalId":367771,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Science in Information Technology (ICSITech)","volume":"79 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121607873","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, segmentation of food product image is not easily performed if the image has low contrast with its background or the background in acquired image is not homogeneous. This paper proposes k-means clustering combined with Sobel operator for automatic food product image segmentation. Sobel operator was used to determine region of interest (ROI) and k-means clustering was then employed to separate object and background in ROI. The area outside ROI was considered as background. The proposed method has been validated using 100 images of food product from ten different types. The validation results show that the proposed segmentation method achieves good segmentation result.","PeriodicalId":367771,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Science in Information Technology (ICSITech)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129965290","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As such learning environments usually follow a computer-assisted instruction concept that offers no adaptability to each student, some idea from Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS) are borrowed and applied in educational games to teach introductory programming. Thus, we developed a Game-based Intelligent Tutoring System (GITS) in the form of a competitive board game. The board game revises the classic table game \"Snakes and Ladders\" to improve web-based problem solving skills and learning computer programming. Moreover, a mini-game, tic-tac-toe quiz, is applied in GITS to update the Bayesian network used for the process of decision-making in our proposed system. Our future work is to evaluate the GITS by conducting an experimental study using novices.","PeriodicalId":367771,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Science in Information Technology (ICSITech)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131537581","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many applications like Weather forecast, Stock market, Traffic control, Energy saving, Surveillance control, etc. have been developed based on Big Data processing [1, 2, 4, 5]. For the Big Data itself, it also creates some serious problems like huge dimensionality, data inconsistency, open access, security, privacy, uncertainty, etc. People like to live in smart cities as it is quite convenient to access to any things [3]. Especially for the Internet of Things, not only the devices are connected to the Internet but the human beings are also connected to the Internet. The smarter cities are, the bigger data create. How to manage such Big Data becomes a challenge problem. Especially, when the dimensionality becomes huge, there is really no efficient way to handle it. As you know, Big Data are really generated via Internet of Things. Hence the sensors are very important for both the devices and human beings. RFID is usually a sensor attached to a device but for the human beings, the sensors for face, fingerprints, veins, iris etc. are designed to get the specific physiological characteristic owned by a human being [6-15]. In this talk, we will introduce Big Data, Smart Cities and Biometric Recognition technologies and point out the problems we face and need to solve. Several practical systems are also introduced based on the Big Data processing.","PeriodicalId":367771,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Science in Information Technology (ICSITech)","volume":"142 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131725471","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
