Participants were recruited from special education schools using a purposive selection strategy. The Wisconsin Card Sorting Test (WCST) was utilized as a tool to assess cognitive flexibility. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, paired-samples t-test, correlation analysis, and regression analyses. The findings demonstrated a notable enhancement in WCST scores after the intervention, suggesting that adaptive learning technologies have a beneficial effect on cognitive flexibility. Regression studies revealed that various types of adaptive learning technologies had varied levels of efficacy, with Tech A showing the most significant beneficial impact. Surprisingly, demographic factors such as age, gender, and educational attainment demonstrated little and statistically insignificant associations with alterations in cognitive flexibility levels. The findings emphasize the potential of adaptive learning technologies as effective therapies for improving cognitive flexibility in kids with special needs. It underscores the significance of evaluating specific characteristics and design principles to maximize their efficacy.","PeriodicalId":36543,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Data and Network Science","volume":" 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141371418","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

E-learning courses and systems with various services are on the rise owing to its importance. E-learning systems should be evaluated to assure successful delivery, effective usage, and positive impacts on learners. A holistic model that identifies various levels of success on a vast range of success determinants was proposed. The model was empirically validated using data obtained from 724 e-learning student users in Jordan. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) was used in data analyses. Results showed that perceived usefulness of information systems, user training, system quality, and management support have positive effects on user’s behavioral intention; whereas perceived ease of use has not. Also, SEM displayed that user behavioral intention has a positive effect on information systems use, use on student satisfaction, and the latter on student loyalty. Machine Learning (ML) methods produce high correlation values reaching up to 80% in predicting Behavior Intention (BI) from the input factors, and student loyalty from student satisfaction factors. This indicates that the ML are promising techniques to forecast the future targets based on the input independent features.","PeriodicalId":36543,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Data and Network Science","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70769940","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A systematic and holistic integrated approach was used in encouraging the developmental processes, with both primary and secondary data qualitatively and quantitatively utilized. Mixed methods were also used through two phases, namely exploratory and explanatory design. The results showed that the role of GESI and community institutions encouraged the improvement of green entrepreneurship, whose role was one of the win-win solutions in mitigating the impact of global climate change and encouraging the achievement of the SDGs. Based on the limitations, the awareness of every individual was globally required on the importance of entrepreneurial trends. These results are expected to increase the knowledge and understanding of green entrepreneurship importance, as an alternative to contemporary global business.","PeriodicalId":36543,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Data and Network Science","volume":"66 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70775365","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Security information systems are becoming increasingly significant as the number of SE incidents rapidly increased and became more aggressive than before. The World Wide Web (WWW) has evolved for information exchange and knowledge-sharing. It enables the sharing of information in a timely, effective, and transparent manner. Identity theft and identity misuse are two sides of cybercrime in which hackers and fraudulent users collect sensitive information from current legal users in order to perform fraud or deceit for financial gain. Malicious links are used as phishing methods, in which malicious links are planted beneath legitimate-looking links. As the number of web pages grows, the number of malicious web pages and the attacks of such become more complex. In this paper, we provide a method for identifying malicious web pages using a crawling and classification approach that helps to support the automatic discovery of the malicious links. The proposed approach can successfully complete the crawling session even if the page requires partial page refreshment and authentication credentials. The evaluation of the proposed approach shows a higher accuracy compared to an existing approach with an overall accuracy of 72% in three custom applications. Moreover, the proposed approach will calculate the significance and the impact severances of each link on the website and it better differentiates malicious web pages and normal links. The results of the proposed approach will also help in providing a set of recommendations which can increase the awareness level of the end-users, website administrators on how to better deal with these types of SE attacks.","PeriodicalId":36543,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Data and Network Science","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70775551","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Almost all new devices will have a feature to be connected and controlled over the Internet. Several applications are utilizing IoT to enhance routine processes and actions efficiently. The Internet of Vehicles (IoV) evolved from IoT, where vehicles communicate with each other or with other objects to have a better transportation environment to reduce the number of accidents and save people’s lives. IoV is considered new fields that need security requirements including confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and trust. Trust management technique is used to validate entities behaviors automatically against well-defined policies. The major categories of trust model in IoV are based on entity, data, or a combination of both. This paper proposes a trust model which is based on a combination of entity and data to define the trust of vehicles and utilize the public key infrastructure to distribute certificates to vehicles. Based on certificate validation, messages will be trusted and accepted. This model has been tested across different simulation scenarios which showed that the proposed model detected malicious vehicles and trusted vehicles did not accept their messages.","PeriodicalId":36543,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Data and Network Science","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70775900","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using this technology might liven up dull lecture halls. By expanding synchronous communication into the \"metaverse,\" many individuals may have meaningful conversations and exchange perspectives. This research focuses on finding out how medical students in the UAE feel about the metaverse system. The conceptual model incorporates elements from the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), including perceived value and perceived ubiquity as adoption determinants. To test the validity of the suggested framework, a survey was developed and distributed to 369 full-time students at one of the universities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Machine learning (ML) and structural equation modeling using partial least squares (PLS-SEM) are used for data analysis. According to the results, the extent to which users saw value in and adoption of the metaverse system was a significant factor in whether or not they intended to participate. This study was helpful since it elucidated the relative significance of various healthcare components, allowing professionals to prioritize their efforts better.","PeriodicalId":36543,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Data and Network Science","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70776131","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The researchers analyzed five variables that contribute to the effectiveness of e-learning: system reliability, information sharing, service quality, user satisfaction, and net benefit. Structural Equation Model analysis was used to analyze the data collected from 203 respondents who were public sector employees in Indonesia. The findings of this study revealed that information sharing, and service quality significantly impact user satisfaction, which in turn has a significant effect on net benefits. Additionally, system reliability was found to significantly impact user satisfaction. This theoretical implication suggests that there is a direct relationship between the level of information sharing and service quality provided by a public sector organization and the level of user satisfaction experienced by its usage of e-learning. The practical implication of the finding is that public sector organizations must prioritize the reliability of their e-learning systems. This includes investing in regular maintenance and updates, ensuring proper testing and quality control procedures, and addressing any issues or downtime quickly and effectively.","PeriodicalId":36543,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Data and Network Science","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70776454","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
