The devices are planned to be interactive in local languages in order to allow the farmers to get useful advices and timely information. The device contents are programmed remotely by the use of high performance servers. This project involves platform specific software development. Level-1 machines development is already in progress and work is in progress for selecting and establishing a suitable network infrastructure. Since the farmers in remote areas may not want to interact with electronic gadgets, it is proposed that the existing cell phone network be utilized for implementation of information delivery through a familiar interface. However, like other international projects, this project is expected to use multiple platforms as per local needs and environment","PeriodicalId":365186,"journal":{"name":"2005 International Conference on Collaborative Computing: Networking, Applications and Worksharing","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124981269","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The workspace of a presentation, which is the presentation slides, is a natural and effective medium of interactions among presentation participants. However, due to the insufficient support from existing collaborative presentation systems, workspace-mediated interaction is inconvenient in presentations, especially in collaborative presentations. In this paper, we explore typical workspace-mediated interaction forms and analyze their characteristics. Based on this analysis, we present a series of approaches to supporting workspace-mediated interaction in the context of the CoPowerPoint system","PeriodicalId":365186,"journal":{"name":"2005 International Conference on Collaborative Computing: Networking, Applications and Worksharing","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130945229","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One particularly useful form of intervention was face-to-face collaborative learning which increased the overall solution rate of the problem solving while also improving the strategies used. However, the collaborative intervention was not effective for all groups making complicated. To better model the effects of group composition we have developed a synchronous and symmetrical collaborative extension to the online IMMEX problem solving environment. This online collaborative environment appeared an accurate representation of the face-to-face collaboration episode in that both groupings showed similar gains in the problem solution frequency as well as in the differential use of particular strategies. We also noticed that some groups, like some individuals, rapidly developed and persisted with unproductive approaches highlighting the importance of identifying, and perhaps re-assembling such groups for subsequent problem solving. To support such decisions, we describe a causal model approach for integrating the performance and knowledge sharing histories of a group to help predict which groups should remain together","PeriodicalId":365186,"journal":{"name":"2005 International Conference on Collaborative Computing: Networking, Applications and Worksharing","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117239555","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using local namespaces instead of a global namespace can avoid excessive dissemination of organizational information, reduce maintenance costs, and improve robustness against external security attacks. GIN can forward a query with an O(1) latency stretch with high probability and achieve high performance. In the absence of a complete distance map, its heuristic algorithms for self configuration are scalable and efficient. Routing tables are maintained using soft-state mechanisms for fault tolerance and adapting to performance updates of network distances. Thus, GIN has significant new advantages for building an efficient and scalable distributed hash table for modern collaborative applications across organizations","PeriodicalId":365186,"journal":{"name":"2005 International Conference on Collaborative Computing: Networking, Applications and Worksharing","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127123516","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this reason, it is necessary for the network to be available most of the time and to achieve transparent network failure recovery. In this paper, it is proposed to use Agent NetReconf, an agent based dynamic network reconfiguration algorithm that is capable of tolerating multiple router and link failures in high-speed networks with arbitrary topology. Agent NetReconf updates the routing tables asynchronously and does not require any global knowledge of the network topology. Agent NetReconf uses mobile and autonomous agents to detect and recover the network from failures. Agent NetReconf highlights the benefits of using smart networking devices as a means of building an active network. The complexity of Agent NetReconf is analyzed and the termination, liveliness and safety are proved","PeriodicalId":365186,"journal":{"name":"2005 International Conference on Collaborative Computing: Networking, Applications and Worksharing","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121636949","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Service providers will use location information to introduce new services and greatly enhance many existing services. Maintaining location privacy is an important requirement that must be met for these services to be widely deployed. It is a challenge to maintain location privacy while still providing the flexible access to location information required to enable a rich set of location based services. In this paper we define a high-level architecture for providing LBS and classify services according to several basic criteria. To support these services we propose a hierarchical key distribution method. Four methods are proposed to deliver hierarchical location information while maintaining privacy. We evaluate the efficiency of the system in terms of message delivery and key management overhead","PeriodicalId":365186,"journal":{"name":"2005 International Conference on Collaborative Computing: Networking, Applications and Worksharing","volume":"75 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123774049","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus an approach for the iterative and sustainable optimization of services gains in importance. Considering high-performance collaboration networks in production, the approach has to target internal and interfirm collaborations between manufacturers, suppliers and customers, including suitable ICT. So far, there is no holistic optimization system including the design and iterative improvement of technical customer services within collaboration networks. The paper describes the design of a feedback control system in order to optimize those service collaborations dynamically. It transfers closed loop mechanisms of a generic feedback control system to collaboration service processes and describes the required ICT.
