La obtención de datos para los procesos de reconocimiento automático en un contexto específico es esencial para su éxito. Así, este tipo de proyectos inician haciendo una revisión de la información disponible para llevar a cabo las etapas de entrenamiento y clasificación de las emociones con las técnicas computacionales que se propongan. Se describen las actividades de búsqueda de las bases de datos de expresiones faciales que capturan emociones centradas en el aprendizaje. Estas actividades formaron parte de las etapas de la metodología del trabajo para reconocer las emociones de estudiantes mientras realizaban actividades de aprendizaje en línea. Con los modelos mentales se pueden analizar las estructuras internas presentes, por ejemplo, en la sección de comprensión lectora del examen TOEFL donde se involucran tres tipos de textos: narrativos, expositivos, y argumentativos. En este trabajo se modelan semánticamente los tres tipos de textos como estructuras, donde las relaciones semánticas son el insumo para la construcción de estas, así como la complejidad semántica dependiendo del tipo de texto a revisar. In view of this problem, a serious game was designed and developed to enable children to achieve significant learning in this subject. An evaluation was performed of the interface of a section of the game focusing on the concept of counting. Work was performed with 7 teachers by means of a Wizard of Oz experiment. A CSUQ questionnaire was also used to gather general information on the teachers, such as gender and age. The children’s experience in using the application was also assessed. Student attrition is a common phenomenon that worries public and private universities, which are affected financially and socially. Several studies have addressed this issue. However, they have mainly focused on academic, social, demographic, and economic aspects. In this paper, we propose a method for analyzing academic desertion in the context of a Systems and Computing Engineering undergraduate program by providing a view of this issue from a KDD (knowledge discovery in databases) perspective and using techniques for identifying students’ behavioral patterns. Unlike other proposals, we also consider variables provided by the BADyG test. Se describen las versiones del prototipo, que se encuentra en marcha y posibilitó conocer mejor las necesidades de información de los usuarios por medio de pruebas. Para el diseño de una interfaz accesible, se deben comprender las formas de interacción de los diferentes usuarios, sean visuales, auditivas o táctiles. La propuesta fue financiada a través de un proyecto de innovación y contó con la participación de dos estudiantes de graduación en Ciencia de la computación del Instituto Federal de Brasilia (IFB). First, the method of calculating Fitts’ throughput is described by means of a raw data detailed example. Then, the method of calculating throughput is discussed for non-ISO tasks, since the procedure targets were randomly positioned from trial to trial. Due to a non-constant amplitude within each sequence of trials, throughput was calculated using two methods of data aggregation: the first one, by sequence of trials using the mean amplitude, and the second one, by common A-W conditions. For each data set, we used four methods for calculating throughput. The grand mean for throughput (calculated through the division of means and the adjustment for accuracy) was of 0.74 bps, which is 45 % lower than the value obtained using an ISO task. We recommend to calculate throughput using the division of means plus the adjustment for accuracy, and to avoid using the reciprocal slope of the regression model.
