It counts 35 species, among them one species ( Scapania glaucocephala ) is recorded as new for Caucasus and two species ( Scapania calcicola and Trichocolea tomentella ) as new for the Krasnodar Territory. Five liverwort species are threatened in Krasnodar Territory including Frullania parvistipula ( =F. caucasica ), which is critically endangered in Europe . Two species of Cololejeunea ( C. rossettiana and C. calcarea ), which in Russia only occur in the Caucasus and were previously considered rare, were collected in most of the studied areas, although always in very small numbers. Annotations to the species include distribution, description of habitats and data on reproduction structures. Distribution of the phytogeographically interesting species is discussed.","PeriodicalId":36075,"journal":{"name":"Arctoa","volume":"77 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91045085","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The list includes 27 species, the vast majority of which (19) were not previously known to the republic. The annotation for each species includes some synonyms, the presence of reproductive structures, habitat characteristics, a list of localities and associated species. The morphological features and distribution of rare in the Caucasus and little-known species are discussed. Based on publications and data obtained here, the list of species currently known for the Republic of North Ossetia including 52 species is provided. The oil bodies of Solenostoma caucasicum are described for the first time. GenBank accession numbers for seven species (nine samples) are given, a total of 17 accessions were deposited into GenBank.","PeriodicalId":36075,"journal":{"name":"Arctoa","volume":"300 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81354948","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
