The results indicate high rates of direct and indirect victimization and high psychological distress without development of psycho-pathological symptoms. Linear regression by stepwise indicated that the three variables studied serve as protective elements for the mental health of young victims of community violence.

Recently, as internet and Social Network Site (SNS) have been developed, researches on dispositional envy and psychological health are increasing. Dispositional envy is closely related to attachment insecurity because it occurs mainly in relationships with surrounding people. Studies have also shown that insecure attachment can impair psychological well-being and make the individual vulnerable to depression. Attachment instability and envy both decrease psychological health. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between attachment instability and psychological health, mediated by dispositional envy. The study sample consisted of 155 males and 194 females participants with an average age of 40.16 years (SD=10.66). The self-report measures of collecting data are comprised of Dispositional Envy Scale, Experience of Close Relationship, Beck Depression Inventory and Psychological well-being. Simple correlation showed that attachment instability and envy were highly correlated with depression and psychological well-being. Also, the multiple regression analysis showed that envy mediated partially between attachment instability and psychological health. Results suggest that people with insecure attachment exhibit poor psychological health because of feelings of envy. The implications and limitations of this research were discussed.

The reason for it can be attributed to many claims that show how emotional intelligence predicts variations in individual behavior and outcomes. Although previous studies have examined the role of emotional intelligence in individual behavior and outcomes, there is a dearth of research investigating the process by which emotional intelligence leads to creativity. The aim of this study was to examine relations among emotional intelligence, positive affect and creativity and the mediating role of positive affect on the relationship between emotional intelligence and creativity. Two hundred participants working in different organizations in India completed measures of emotional intelligence, creativity and positive affect. Results of correlation analysis indicated that emotional intelligence was positively associated with creativity and positive affect and positive affect was also positively associated with creativity. All the four subscales of emotional intelligence were also associated with positive affect and creativity. Results of structural equation modeling indicated that positive affect acted as a partial mediator in the relationship of emotional intelligence and creativity. This study provides an empirical framework by showing how emotional intelligence predicts creativity via positive affect. The study presents important contributions to the literature on emotional intelligence and creativity. Limitations of the study, implications, and future directions concerning possible mediators and moderators are briefly discussed.

The main reason for the lack of attention by criminologists is that the suicidal acts are not criminal offences in the USA. Discussions, in the current research, are based on the stream analogy of lethal violence that both suicide and homicide are the two sides of the same phenomena. After complicated mechanisms and interdisciplinary theories for suicidal acts are examined, author suggests the criminology theories can explain the suicidal acts and the mechanisms from risk factors to suicidal acts. Methods: Data on SAs \u0000 and the Brazilian population were extracted from DATASUS, which is available from the Department of \u0000 Informatics of the Ministry of Health (www.datasus.gov.br). Standardized rates of hospitalization \u0000 for SAs were calculated for 100,000 (105) inhabitants in the construction of coefficients. \u0000 Results: The distribution of hospitalization rates shows distinct patterns, with a reduction in \u0000 most states but growth in some states located in the Northeast region of Brazil. No correlation was \u0000 found between the HDI and SAs. States in Brazil's less-developed regions (the Northeast and North) \u0000 showed lower HDI values and had higher variability in the hospitalization rates due to SAs. The risk \u0000 of hospitalization was higher for men. Conclusion: No correlation was found between the HDI and \u0000 SAs, probably because of the great variability of hospital admissions attributable to SAs in low-HDI \u0000 states. In those states, the stability of hospital admission rates can be affected by a lack of uniformity \u0000 in registers, among other factors. Further studies should investigate this great variability in hospital \u0000admission rates.

South Africa is home to a large portion of Africa’s refugees, \u0000 who have been exposed to torture and war trauma. In addition to trauma in their country of origin, \u0000 refugees face daily contextual stressors which reflect society’s perceptions of refugees as well as the \u0000 social, economic and political milieu of South Africa. These daily contextual stressors exacerbate the \u0000 psychological effects of their past trauma. The Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation \u0000 is a non-governmental organization that provides psychological services to torture survivors, with \u0000 the aim of promoting psychosocial rehabilitation and mental wellbeing.
