In the 21st century teachers are required to build effective relationships with students and the school community by using technology to improve the quality of education. This study aims to 1) analyze the level of achievement of pedagogical and professional competence of teachers in Junior High School 1 Hu'u. 2) Describe the obstacles in increasing the level of achievement of the pedagogical and professional competence of teachers in Junior High School1 Hu'u. 3) Efforts made in overcoming obstacles to increasing the achievement of pedagogical and professional competence of teachers in Junior High School 1 Hu'u. This research used a mix method approach (a combination of qualitative methods with quantitative methods) with the type of case study research. The research location is Junior High School 1 Hu'u, Dompu Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. Questionnaire data collection techniques, interviews, documentation, and observation. The information is the principal and thirty teachers who are used as primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques for data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and validity of the data. The results showed that 1) the level of pedagogical competence and professional competence of teachers at Junior High School 1 Hu'u was sufficient and sufficient to be called a professional teacher. 2) The obstacle faced by teachers in developing pedagogical and professional competencies is that there is diversity in the ability of teachers in the learning process and mastery of knowledge and many GTT teachers who have long taught at Junior High School 1 Hu'u have not received NUPTK. 3) Efforts are made to improve the pedagogical and professional competence of teachers, namely through teacher development training conducted every weekend such as KKG, MGMP activities.Keywords: Pedagogical Competence, Professional Competence, Achievement Abstrak: Kompetensi pedagogi dan profesional guru saat ini penting untuk dikembangkan.Pada abad 21 guru dituntut membangun hubungan yang efektif dengan siswa dan komunitas sekolah dengan menggunakan teknologi untuk peningkatan mutu pendidikan. This study aims to describe 1) the role of the principal in improving the quality of education in elementary schools Muhammadiyah 4 Malang. 2) efforts made by school principals in improving the quality of education in elementary school Muhammadiyah 4 Malang. In this research method using qualitative descriptive methods. The results of the study stated that 1) the role of the headmaster in improving the quality of education in elementary school Muhammadiyah 4 Malang was as a manager, leader, supervisor, administrator, educator, innovator, and motivator. 2) The principal's efforts in improving the quality of education in elementary school Muhammadiyah 4 Malang City include: a) making all improvements in all aspects of improving the quality of education; b) planning and preparing activity plans; c) coordinate the distribution of learning activities; d) supervise and evaluate teachers regarding learning activities; e) coordinate in carrying out all school activities.Keywords: The Role of Principals, Quality of Education, Elementary School Abstrak: Pendidikan merupakan hal utama di Indonesia dalam meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia. Dalam metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. The study aims to describe: 1) Implementation of gender-based class segregation policies; 2) Inhibiting factors and solutions in implementing gender-based class segregation policies and school efforts in overcoming the problems faced in implementing gender-based class segregation policies. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. This research was carried out at Islamic junior high school Maarif 01 Singosari. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation, and documentation. The analysis phase used is data collection, data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing. To check the validity of the data using data and source triangulation. The results showed that 1) The implementation of the gender-based class segregation policy process of its implementation was carried out by separating classes between male and female classes, from grades VII, VII and X but in one building, one organization and supported by the implementation of orderly. 2) Barriers and solutions faced by schools in carrying out policies are: attitudes of male students disagree with the existence of policies that have an impact on the class structure when learning hours are less conducive. The solution that is done by the school, by providing approaches and direction to students, and every teacher and especially the counseling guidance teacher and subject teachers must know all the problems that often occur to Islamic junior high school Al-Maarif 01 Singosari students to be evaluated on an ongoing basis.Keywords: Gender, Segregation, Policy Implementation Abstrak: Permasalahan mengenai gender harus segara dituntaskan.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan: 1) Implementasi kebijakan segregasi kelas berbasis gender; 2) Faktor penghambatdan solusi dalam implementasi kebijakan segregasi kelas berbasis gender dan upaya sekolah dalam mengatasi masalah yang dihadapi dalam implementasi kebijakan segregasi kelas berbasis gender. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Islam Al-Maarif 01 Singosari. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu Wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Tahapan analisis yang digunakan yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan. Untuk mengecek keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi data dan sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Implementasi kebijakan segregasi kelas berbasis gender proses penerapannya dilakukan dengan cara pemisahan kelas antara kelas laki-laki dan kelas perempuan, mulai dari kelas VII, VII dan X akan tetapi dalam satu gedung, satu organisasi dan didukung dengan diterapkannya tata tertib. 2) Kendala dan solusi yang dihadapi sekolah dalam menjalankan kebijakan yaitu: sikap siswa putra kurang setuju adanya kebijakan hal tersebut berdampak pada suasana kelas pada saat jam pembelajaran kurang kondusif. The success of education can be seen in the competencies held by the teacher. This study aims to analyze the result of the Teacher Competency Test (UKG) Year 2015 in East Nusa Tenggara Province. This study used a descriptive quantitative approach and supported by qualitative. This study is descriptive. The subject of this research was the value of teachers who followed UKG Year 2015 in East Nusa Tenggara Province, which consists of 9.286 teachers from 22 districts of East Nusa Tenggara Province. The data were collected by using document and interview techniques. In analyzing the data, the researcher used descriptive statistics and SPSS program to know the Mean value of teachers from the pedagogical and professional competencies. The result of Teacher Competency Test (UKG) Year 2015 in East Nusa Tenggara Province, reviewed from the pedagogical and professional competencies and the general subjects of the national examination (Bahasa Indonesia, English, and Mathematics) of the 22 districts, is relatively categorized low since the Mean value is below the Minimum Competency Standard (SKM) which is 55. According to the functionary and the teachers, several factors cause the low competency of teachers in East Nusa Tenggara Province, so the coordination among the Education Quality Insurer Agency (LPMP), provincial education authorities, and district education authorities should be improved to see the Teacher Competency Test (UKG) problem as a mutual concern. The government should conduct a teacher competency test periodically to maintain the teachers’ competencies in both pedagogical and professional to improve the education quality in East Nusa Tenggara Province particularly.Keywords: Teacher, Pedagogical and Professional, Competency Test Abstrak: Pendidik merupakan ujung tombak keberhasilan keberlangsungan pendidikan di era revolusi industri 4.0. Keberhasilan pendidikan dapat dilihat pada kompetensi yang dimiliki oleh guru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hasil Uji Kompetensi Guru (UKG) Tahun 2015 di Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Subyek penelitian ini adalah nilai guru yang mengikuti UKG Tahun 2015 di Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) sebanyak 9.286 guru di 22 Kabupaten/Kota se Provinsi NTT. The study aims to find out 1) the implementation of inclusive education which includes the acceptance, planning, implementation, and evaluation of students; 2) supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of inclusive schools, and 3) positive and negative impacts of the implementation of inclusive schools in Vocational High School 2 Malang. This research uses qualitative research. The results showed that 1) the implementation was good in terms of acceptance, planning, implementation, and evaluation, which was followed by students with special needs with autism, mentally disabled, ADHD, slow learner, deaf, and dual disability (more disability). 2) Internal and external supporting factors are the collaboration of various inclusive education actors, the government, parents or guardians of students, communities around the school, as well as special assistant teachers. Internal and external inhibiting factors, the lack of infrastructure assistance from the government. 3) The positive impact of the implementation of inclusive education in Vocational High School 2 Malang is the support of all parties to inclusive education, for the negative impact of this study in the inhibiting factor, namely the lack of infrastructure assistance from the government. Researchers suggest that schools should always send letters to the government regarding infrastructure facilities so that the government can be responsive in helping with this. It can also find sponsors through CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), self-funding from parents of parents, and raising public funds.Keywords: Implementation, Inclusive Education, The Child with Special Needed Abstrak: Perkembangan pendidikan abad 21 ini telah memberikan kesempatan kepada para penyandang difabel untuk memperoleh pendidikan yang sama dengan siswa pada umumnya.Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui a) implementasi pendidikan inklusif berjalan yang meliputi penerimaan, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi bagi peserta didik; b) faktor pendukung dan penghambat implementasi sekolah inklusif; serta c) dampak positif dan negatif dari implementasi sekolah inklusif di SMKN 2 Malang. The research objective evaluates the implementation of Adiwiyata after receiving the award with Adiwiyata components including 1) environmentally sound school policies; 2) development of an environment-based curriculum; 3) participatory-based environmental activities; 4) management of environmentally friendly supporting facilities in the context of forming a caring and cultured character in Junior High School 1 Pandaan. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative which aims to evaluate the implementation of the adiwiyata program based on the Adiwiyata program component. Data collection techniques by direct observation, interviews, and documentation. The data validity technique is obtained through source and technique triangulation. The results showed that an evaluation of the results of environmentally sound policies to form a caring attitude and environmental culture had been carried out at Junior High School 1 Pandaan. Evaluation of the results of the implementation of an environment-based curriculum in shaping culture and caring for the environment is only carried out 60% of teachers in integrated learning and has an impact on the application of students' environmental knowledge. Evaluation of the results of participatory-based environmental activities in shaping cultural character and caring for the environment has been carried out but has decreased in cooperation with outsiders and its role as resource persons An evaluation of the results of the management of environmentally friendly supporting facilities in the formation of a caring and cultured character of the environment has been carried out but needs to be further improved in the improvement and management of infrastructure.Keywords: Evaluation, Self Adiwiyata, Character Abstrak: Pengentasan soal masalah lingkungan Negara Indonesia memiliki solusi berupa kebijakan adiwiyata yang diberlakukan di sekolah. Tujuan penelitian mengevaluasi pelaksanaan Adiwiyata pasca diterimanya penghargaan tersebut dengan komponen Adiwiyata meliputi: 1) kebijakan sekolah berwawasan lingkungan; 2) pengembangan kurikulum berbasis lingkungan; 3) kegiatan lingkungan berbasis partisipatif; 4) pengelolaan sarana pendukung ramah lingkungan dalam rangka membentuk karakter peduli dan berbudaya lingkungan di SMPN 1 Pandaan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan mengevaluasi pelaksanaan program adiwiyata berdasarkan komponen program Adiwiyata. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara observasi langsung, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik keabsahan data diperoleh melalui triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa evaluasi hasil kebijakan berwawasan lingkungan untuk membentuk sikap peduli dan budaya lingkungan telah dilaksanakan di SMPN 1 Pandaan. In its implementation, of course, it takes a figure who has reliable leadership in both fields. This research aims to describe and analyze (1) the leadership style of Senior High School Nurul Jadid principals in the implementation of education in school; (2) the leadership style of Senior High School Nurul Jadid Principal at the school policy retrieval process; (3) the typical leadership style of Senior High School Nurul Jadid principals. The approach of this research is qualitative descriptive. Data collection was done through structured interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use the Miles and Huberman model, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and verification/conclusion. The results showed that 1) the leadership style of principals in organizing education which included inputs, processes, and outputs of schools in Nurul Jadid High School was using delegating leadership style, this leadership style was used because principals considered the maturity level of subordinates to be good and ready to carry out tasks. 2)While the policy retrieval process, the principal of Senior High School Nurul Jadid uses a democratic leadership style, because when making policies in schools there was still an element of coordination between superiors and subordinates, subordinates were still allowed to make decisions based on suggestions and criticism. Both of leadership styles that are jointly run by the principal have elements of the pesantren's distinctive leadership style, which are dedicated, serving leadership and a high sense of kinship by applying Nurul Jadid's rules and Islamic values, namely trilogy santri, and panca awareness santri.Keywords: Leadership Style, Delegative, Democratic, Islamic Boarding School Abstrak: Dalam menghadapi tantangan zaman yang semakin liberal banyak pondok pesantren yang membentuk sekolah umum dengan diterapkan secara bersama demi melahirkan generasi yang menguasai ilmu agama dan pengetahuan secara umum. Dalam pelaksanaannya tentunya dibutuhkan sosok yang memiliki kepemimpinan yang handaldikedua bidang.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah SMA Nurul Jadid(1) dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan di sekolah; (2) dalam proses pengambilan kebijakan di sekolah; (3) gaya kepemimpinan khas pesantren kepala sekolah SMA Nurul Jadid. The policy must be analyzed to give other schools a clear picture of the effectiveness of character education. Therefore the researcher intends, to find out the implementation suitability and evaluate the effectiveness of the policy of strengthening the character education of the National Defense Vocational High School Sore Tulungagung. Through qualitative research methods, by triangulating research data, researchers analyze data by studying theory through the reduction of interview results. The results obtained, the planning of strengthening the character education of National Defense is not good, because of the lack of reference laws that are used, indicators of achievement of the basic values of the character of defending the country. In the implementation of the policy declared quite good, seen activities that teach nationality insight to students, but there needs to be supervision from the implementation team. Finally, the evaluation stage of the policy is still not good, because the evaluation of character education is in the form of violations in general, not on indicators of the basic values of Defending the State.Keywords: Policy, Character Education, National Defense Abstrak: Kebijakan Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter Bela Negarayang telah dilaksanakan di SMK Sore Tulungagung tahun 2014/2015 merupakan kebijakan pengembangan pendidikan karakter baru. Kebijakan tersebut harus dianalisis agar memberi gambaran jelas kepada sekolah lain efektifitas pendidikan karakter tersebut. Maka dari itu penelitian ini bermaksuduntuk mengetahui implementasi dan mengevaluasi efektifitas kebijakan penguatan pendidikan karakter Bela Negaradi SMK Sore Tulungagung. Melalui metode penelitian kualitatif, dengan triangulasi data-data penelitian, peneliti menganalisis data dengan kajian teori melalui reduksi hasil wawancara. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan, perencanaan penguatan pendidikan karakter Bela Negarakurang baik, sebab minimnya acuan perundangan yang dipakai, indikator ketercapaian nilai-nilai dasar karakter bela negara. Pada implementasi kebijakan dinyatakan cukup baik, terlihat adanya kegiatan-kegiatan yang mengajarkan wawasan kebangsaan pada peserta didik, namun perlu adanya pengawasan dari tim pelaksana. The process to improve professional teachers needs to support all elements related to the teacher. This study aims to describe 1) school policy in increasing teacher professionalism in the Senior/Vocational High School Kambera District. 2) Efforts to the obstacles faced in the implementation of increasing teacher professionalism in the Senior/Vocational High SchoolKambera District. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection methods in the form of observation, interviews, and study of documents that are used as sources of primary data and secondary data. The location of this study was at Senior High School 1 Kambera, Payeti Christian Senior High School, and Vocational High School Negeri 5 Waingapu. The results showed that: 1) the implementation of MGMP activities, PKB, Diklat, curriculum development from the three schools was still lacking because not all teachers were sent in these activities. The obstacles faced are continuing professional development, namely the lack of teacher's understanding of teaching materials, and the lack of opportunities to attend training as a support to become professional teachers. 2) Efforts towards the obstacles faced in implementing teacher professionalism have been carried out related to the implementation of PKB, MGMP, curriculum development, training at the school, regional and provincial levels, but these achievements have not been fully maximized.Keywords: School Policy, Professionalism, Teachers Abstrak: Guru profesional dapat menggerakkan dinamika kemajuan pendidikan nasional, untuk itu diperlukan suatu proses pembinaan berkesinambungan, tepat sasaran dan efektif. Proses untuk meningkatkan guru profesional perlu dukungan semua unsur yang terkait dengan guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan 1) kebijakan sekolah dalam peningkatan profesionalisme guru di SMA/SMK Kecamatan Kambera. 2) Upaya terhadap kendala yang dihadapi dalam pelaksanaan peningkatan profesionalisme guru di SMA/SMK Kecamatan Kambera. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data berupa obsevasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumen yang dijadikan sebagai sumber data primer dan data sekunder. Lokasi penelitian ini di SMA Negeri 1 Kambera, SMA Kristen Payeti, dan SMK Negeri 5 Waingapu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) pelaksanaan kegiatan MGMP, PKB, Diklat, pengembangan kurikulum dari ketiga sekolah tersebut masih kurang, karena tidak semua guru-guru dikirim dalam kegiatan-kegiatan tersebut.
