Observatory, Sweden.","doi":"10.22323/1.425.0038","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.22323/1.425.0038","url":null,"abstract":"We present the results of our studies of deuterated molecules (DCN, DNC, DCO$^+$, N$_2$D$^+$ and NH$_2$D) in regions of high-mass star formation, which include a survey of such regions with the 20-m Onsala radio telescope and mapping of several objects in various lines with the 30-m IRAM and 100-m MPIfR radio telescopes. The deuteration degree reaches $sim$10$^{-2}$ in these objects. We discuss its dependencies on the gas temperature and velocity dispersion, as well as spatial distributions of deuterated molecules. We analyzed the available spectral, photometric and astrometric data to isolate 8 objects that exhibit characteristics corresponding to theoretical predictions for isolated BHs. We also discuss the observational manifestations of a stellar mass BH - the recently discovered microlens MOA-2011-BLG-191/OGLE-2011-BLG-0462. The data available for this object are used to calculate the parameters of its local interstellar medium, obtain the accretion rate and luminosity of the object, and construct its theoretical spectrum. This is also the case in the accretion disk theory, where turbulence is considered to be responsible for the outward transport of angular momentum in the accretion disk. In turbulent flows, vortices transport momentum over their length scales providing the mechanism of viscosity that is controlled by mass entrainment. We have earlier proposed an entrainment model for the particular case of the relativistic jets in the radio galaxy 3C 31. In this paper, we further constrain the model parameters. The model (in the non-relativistic part) is successfully tested versus experimental and simulation data on the Reynolds stresses of free mixing layers and predicts the Smagorinsky constant 𝐶 S ≈ 0 . 11, which is consistent with the experimental range for shear flows 𝐶 S ≈ 0 . 1 − 0 . 12. For accretion disks, the entrainment model allows us to derive the same accretion mass rate as in the Shakura–Sunyaev 𝛼 -model without appealing to the turbulent kinematic viscosity 𝜈 t , and the viscosity parameter 𝛼 derived in the form 𝛼 = − 8 3 𝛽𝑠 T v t2 𝑐 2s depends on the power 𝑠 T of the temperature slope along the disk radius, 𝑇 ∝ 𝑟 𝑠 T , and quadratically on the turbulent velocity v t . One of the prototypes of such a detector being developed at the BNO is an acrylic sphere with a diameter of 500 mm filled with a liquid scintillator. Matrices of silicon photomultipliers (SiPM) as photosensors are used to measure the total light output from the interaction of particles in the scintillator and to obtain images of such events. This approach makes it possible to separate useful events from background ones and thereby to lower the background when monitoring Supernova explosions in our Galaxy. The paper describes the prototype of a large-volume detector and presents the measurement results. The results of our recent observations of one of these sources – Holmberg II X-1 – with the Astrosat observatory prompted us to look at the long-term brightness and spectral variability of this source using the Swift/XRT observations. We found that after being in the state of low variability ( ≲ 2 times) and hard spectrum ( Γ ∼ 1 . 8) for about ten years, the source returned to the state with high variability ( ≳ 10 times ) and a soft spectrum ( Γ ∼ 2 . 5). Thus, during the time of the Swift monitoring of more than 15 years, the ULX experienced state transitions at least 3 times. Also we found that the period of 27 days observed in the variable state and vanished in the steady state appeared again as the source returned to the variable state. Further analysis and modeling are necessary to shed light on the possible mechanisms of the observed state transitions of Holmberg II X-1. The setup allowed us to register photons simultaneously in two channels (“red” and “blue”) with the effective temporal resolution of about 1 𝜇 s. We detected optical pulsations at the pulsar frequency with characteristics similar to the ones reported in other studies. In addition, during one of the nights we observed dramatic change in the pulse profile structure, mainly characterized by fast transition from double-peaked to single-peaked shape and back, and accompanied by flaring activity of the system. Extended atmosphere models were calculated using the non-LTE code CMFGEN. We have obtained the luminosity of the discovered LBV 𝐿 (cid:39) ( 1 . 6 ± 0 . 2 ) × 10 6 𝐿 (cid:12) , effective temperature 𝑇 eff = 7 . 9 ± 0 . 4 kK and mass-loss rate (cid:164) 𝑀 𝑓 − 0 . 5 = ( 8 . 2 ± 1 . 0 ) × 10 − 4 𝑀 (cid:12) yr − 1 . The hydrogen abundance in the wind is ≈ 20 % for the metallicity 𝑍 = 0 . 5 𝑍 (cid:12) of the host galaxy. In the course of surveys in the sky, areas from thousands to tens of thousands of square degrees are explored. Despite repeated observations of the same areas, new pulsars are constantly being discovered. We present Pushchino Multibeam Pulsar Search (PUMPS), having a sensitivity that is an order of magnitude higher than the sensitivity of all previously made surveys on pulsar search. In PUMPS daily round-the-clock observations are carried out of the area located on declinations $-9^o<delta<+42^o$. The survey is carried out on 96 beams of a Large Phased Array (LPA) at a frequency of 111 MHz. During the observation period of August 2014 - August 2022, the survey was repeated approximately 3,000 times. The expected sensitivity in the survey reaches up to 0.1 mJy.
