The questionnaire method was used to collect data, and the sample size was determined by equitable distribution to a sample of 450 individuals, with 418 valid models obtained for analysis. The study reached several results. There is a positive and strong impact of social networking sites on increasing the capabilities of students in the universities under study by increasing cultural awareness and social interaction. Social media allows community issues to be raised for discussions such as educational, health, and other issues, and their effects on individuals, groups, and societies vary between negative and positive. The study recommended the necessity of continuous improvement of networks, computers, and software to improve working conditions in the universities under study. The study recommended raising the efficiency of the university’s infrastructure by modernizing laboratories, servers, websites, and educational platforms while providing training programs using social media as a means of receiving information in addition to raising the speed and capacity of the Internet.","PeriodicalId":35452,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business Governance and Ethics","volume":"76 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86697828","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The data were collected from a random sample of faculty and staff members in Saudi universities, where 350 valid responses were obtained for analysis. The study finds a positive and strong correlation between organizational culture and its dimensions (values, expectations, norms, policies, and procedures) and job satisfaction and its dimensions (work requirements factors, labor relations factors, work conditions factors). Also, there is a positive and strong relationship between organizational culture and digital transformation and between digital transformation and job satisfaction. Moreover, there is a partial mediating effect (direct and indirect) of digital transformation and its dimensions (setting strategy, building culture, managing field operations) on the relationship between organizational culture and job satisfaction at the level of basic variables and their dimensions for spreading awareness of the importance of digital transformation in various institutions, including universities. This reveals the difficulties facing Saudi universities in the process of digital transformation, considering the COVID-19 pandemic. The study reached several conclusions. First, lower administrative levels are not allowed to participate in the planning of new applications. Second, the training programs offered to civil and technical workers in the universities under study are weak. The study recommended the necessity of continuous improvement of networks, computers, and software to improve working conditions.","PeriodicalId":35452,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business Governance and Ethics","volume":"184 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85663971","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using the descriptive-analytical approach, the study used a questionnaire to collect data and targeted an organized random sample of (231) persons in the Gaza Strip's official temporary work programs. According to the findings, the respondents' commitment to the organization was more significant than their commitment to them. It was also discovered that the target organizations are concerned about their reputation. The fulfillment of the organization's commitments to the individual had an impact on the individual's commitment to the organization on the one hand, and the organization's perceived reputation on the other. Because of their role in enhancing worker commitment and improving organizational reputation, the study recommended that organizations pay attention to the psychological contract as one of the tools of motivation, in addition to the necessity of fulfilling their obligations towards workers. It is suggested that future studies be focused on employees who work in more stable working settings.","PeriodicalId":35452,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business Governance and Ethics","volume":"23 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81675036","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Despite this, there are many challenges that organizations face when using social media among employees, for example: disrupting their productivity. This study aimed to identify the types of social media that are used by employees during their work and to know the extent of their impact on their productivity. A systematic literature review approach was followed. By reviewing and analyzing 37 articles and studies, the study concluded that social media, which can be categorized into social network, messages, email, forums, blogs, Wikis and many more, has become a common communication method for employees to exchange knowledge and collaborate among colleagues in the organization. By presenting and analyzing the previous literature related to the subject of the study, most of the primary studies demonstrated that the use of social media is beneficial to organizational and personal productivity. However, some studies have shown negative effects of social media use in the workplace. Most studies are not able to explain the actual causality of the employment factor that actually affects employee productivity in the workplace because they present their findings based on cross-sectional data. Therefore, this review can contribute to enriching the literature and serve as a basis for future studies concerned with determining the causality of the use of social media on employee productivity. Accordingly, this review proposed the intervention model for Internet addiction as a tool through which the causality of the use factor that contributes to the adverse effects of the organization's productivity and intervention can be addressed.","PeriodicalId":35452,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business Governance and Ethics","volume":"39 4 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79632694","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
