The phase shift between the two sites can be adjusted by slight tuning the frequency of the auxiliary RF signal. A demonstration experiment is carried out. The frequencies of the local signal and the auxiliary signal are 4 GHz and 2 GHz, respectively. The frequency shift of the auxiliary signal is tuned from 0 to 50 kHz. Phase-stabilized frequency transfer is achieved via a 2-km fiber, in which the phase shift can be tuned from 0 to 360°. The Allan variances at all phase shifts meet well with each other. The proposed method can be used for phase synchronization with a specific phase shift for a distributed system.","PeriodicalId":350271,"journal":{"name":"2022 20th International Conference on Optical Communications and Networks (ICOCN)","volume":"66 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123139665","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First, a predistorted signal is generated from the probe RF signal and transmitted round-trip through a fiber link. Then, the probe signal and the pre-distorted signal modulate the orthogonally polarized components of an optical carrier, respectively, at a dual-polarization Mach-Zehnder modulator. The modulated signals are transferred to the remote nodes. The phase jitter of the fiber link can be eliminated by mixing the probe and pre-distorted signal in the electrical domain at each node. A proof-of-concept experiment is performed. A 5-GHz RF signal is successfully transmitted to two nodes with distances of 10 km and 15 km to the central office. The residual phase jitters are less than 1.09 ps (about 0.03 rad) and 1.59 ps (about 0.05 rad).","PeriodicalId":350271,"journal":{"name":"2022 20th International Conference on Optical Communications and Networks (ICOCN)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122875567","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thanks to the gain switching effect when the big microwave signal, which is generated by the OEO, is directly modulated to the laser, no optical modulator or microwave source are employed in the system. The FSR can be tuned from 4.33GHz to 7.1GHz by simply changing the bias current of the laser. There are at least 9 combs within the 10-dB power fluctuation. When FSR is 5.4GHz, the phase noise of basic microwave signal reaches to −122dBc/Hz@10kHz.","PeriodicalId":350271,"journal":{"name":"2022 20th International Conference on Optical Communications and Networks (ICOCN)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125864473","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The optical Vernier effect is successfully realized through FP cavities with different lengths of HCF and MMF, and the temperature sensitivity is significantly improved. The temperature sensitivity of 69.2 $text{pm}/^{circ}mathrm{C}$ is achieved by detecting the generated spectrum envelope through the FPI's spectrum. A high sensitivity optical fiber temperature sensing system with low complexity, good linearity, short response time, and low cost can be realized with the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":350271,"journal":{"name":"2022 20th International Conference on Optical Communications and Networks (ICOCN)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128233406","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The spectral domain of the NLPs has a wide wavelength envelope that exhibits highly variable wavelength emission intensity. An optical spectrum analyzer provides pseudo-stable, low-coherence, flat, and broadband spectral information of NLP, which then superimposed recording hundreds of thousands of NLP spectra. Therefore, NLPs can be widely applied in optical metrology, low-coherence spectral interferometry, spectral-domain optical coherent tomography, optical sensing and measurement, laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy and ablation threshold analysis, micro machining, and supercontinuum. This report mainly introduces some recent achievements in NLP fiber lasers. The research mainly includes the influence of reverse saturable absorption on the formation of NLPs, the generation of wide-spectrum NLP, the splitting of NLP, and the controllable generation of NLPs.","PeriodicalId":350271,"journal":{"name":"2022 20th International Conference on Optical Communications and Networks (ICOCN)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127225089","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For obtaining high efficiency cesium copper halides-based light emitting diode (LED), two factors are of vital significance, i.e., reduced interfacial quenching and balanced charge injection. Here we develop a simple method of inserting an insulating layer between the cesium copper halides and the hole injection layer (HIL) to reduce the exciton quenching by the HIL and achieve more balanced charge injection into the emitting layer. Benefiting from this approach, the highest EQE of the cesium copper halides-based LEDs is improved from 2.29% to 4.29%.","PeriodicalId":350271,"journal":{"name":"2022 20th International Conference on Optical Communications and Networks (ICOCN)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126513643","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
