Improving the performance of HTTP packets reassembly is the key point of HTTP traffic analysis. In this paper, we first parallel the traditional serial HTTP packets reassembly system according to the HTTP protocol features. This optimization improves the throughput of packets reassembly system by 45% on the generic multi-core platform. Second, by considering the parallelization extra cost on the multi-core platform, we propose a new method to calculate system speedup based on the Amdahl's law. Furthermore, we make a theoretical analysis to discuss the relationship between system speedup and throughput improvement and then we can estimate the upper bound on throughput improvement.","PeriodicalId":348778,"journal":{"name":"2010 2nd IEEE InternationalConference on Network Infrastructure and Digital Content","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117013453","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, a scheme of node behavior classification was proposed based on the analysis of mobile Ad Hoc networks' own laws in practical application. Analytic hierarchy process is used in conjunction with fuzzy comprehensive evaluation to classify nodes' behavior according to their motion state, so that the design complexity of networking protocols can be simplified and different set of networking protocols that best fit the circumstances can be designed correspondingly. The scheme is applied under an example network for rescue, where different routing policies are used by corresponding nodes classified by proposed node behavior classification scheme. Simulation results demonstrate the accuracy of the scheme.","PeriodicalId":348778,"journal":{"name":"2010 2nd IEEE InternationalConference on Network Infrastructure and Digital Content","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129769834","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

After analyzing geometric and pixel value distortion of an image scanned from legal and pirated printed materials respectively, we propose in this paper a copyright protection method based on digital image watermarking. Our algorithm first embeds watermark information into the geometric invariant Fourier-Mellin domain of the image to weaken the geometric distortion brought by legal print-and-scan process. The algorithm then rectifies image scanned from printed material using Radon transform and detected the watermark from it. Because there is an obvious difference between destruction degrees on the watermark caused respectively by legal and pirated printing and scanning process, the algorithm can computes the ratio of the correctly extracted watermark bits and compared it with a predefined threshold to authenticate the printed materials. Experiments show that our semi-fragile watermark algorithm can overcome some shortcoming of the existed algorithms and can be applied in copyright protection of varieties of printed materials.","PeriodicalId":348778,"journal":{"name":"2010 2nd IEEE InternationalConference on Network Infrastructure and Digital Content","volume":"2016 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130679004","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Vth fluctuations for one memory cell in 45nm node are dramatically increased to 350% compared to 90nm generation due to the reduction of channel area and the increase of channel doping level. Here, as the cell size is scaled, the impact due to random telegraph noise (RTN), Dopant Fluctuation and etc become more critical. In 45nm technology, the RTN results in the Vth fluctuations of 60% from the measurement results. Furthermore, we also propose one solution with the channel doping engineering to suppress the Vth fluctuations. It is confirmed that maximum RTS amplitude at the center can be significantly decreased to below 20% in 45nm technology by the modification of channel doping profile. From this result, the Vth fluctuations within one NOR flash cell are the most critical issue for the cell size scaling, and can be effectively suppressed by the optimal channel engineering.","PeriodicalId":348778,"journal":{"name":"2010 2nd IEEE InternationalConference on Network Infrastructure and Digital Content","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121162329","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the use of commercial on-the-shelf technologies, standard protocols, combined with increased interConnectivity with other networks, has exposed them to wide range of network security problems. Considering the characteristics of the group communication in the distribution network, one of the solutions for avoiding vulnerability is the group data encryption with group key. This paper focuses on the issues of group key management for advanced distribution automation system. Due to the characteristics including open medium, dynamic topology, redundancy structure and distributed collaboration, traditional routing protocols in fixed and ad hoc networks cannot be directly used in HWSO network, so that the design of special routing protocol for HWSO networks has become a challenging work. In this paper, we propose a new Hybrid On-demand Distance Vector Multi-path (HODVM) routing protocol that divides the whole network to backbone network and non-backbone network to perform the static routing and dynamic routing, respectively. Simulation results show that, compared to previous routing protocol, HODVM has better scalability as the network size is enlarged or topology is changed.","PeriodicalId":348778,"journal":{"name":"2010 2nd IEEE InternationalConference on Network Infrastructure and Digital Content","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124522321","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, fiber Bragg grating (FBG) filters used in DWDM systems may fail to check out the correct wavelength affected by cosmic rays. In order to analyze the spectra characteristics of FBGs in gamma radiation environment, we simulate the wavelength shift by controlling gamma-induced effective index change. The effect caused by gamma radiation is taken as a perturbation to the effective refractive index of the guided mode of interest. Coupled-mode theory is involved to establish the model describing the effect of gamma radiation on Bragg wavelength shift. The results show that the gamma-induced effective index change has good linearity with the change of Bragg wavelength. Meanwhile, the bandwidth of the reflection spectra broadens with the increased dose of gamma irradiation.","PeriodicalId":348778,"journal":{"name":"2010 2nd IEEE InternationalConference on Network Infrastructure and Digital Content","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130124030","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
