The crux of the proposed topology lies in a collection of simple linear classifiers (perceptrons) being combined into a logically coherent topology. In a nutshell: perceptrons come with a simple geometrical interpretation while processing based on fuzzy operators (AND and OR logic units-fuzzy neurons) results in highly transparent and interpretable results. When combined together, forming a fuzzy adaptive logic network they give rise to the computing construct that retains the advantages of these two paradigms of information processing. Several adaptive hypermedia systems have been developed that deal explicitly with some form of uncertainty or imprecision, but hypermedia models largely ignore these aspects. In this paper, an extension of the static part of a hypermedia model is described, to address some forms of extended information. Specifically, fuzzy set theory is used to extend some of the model elements, including user categories and links, resulting in more realistic information definitions and also in novel concepts, like fuzzy links, that are generalizations of well-known adaptive techniques. In order to improve the spatial querying accuracy and quality, the problems associated with the areas of fuzziness and uncertainty are of great concern in the spatial database community. There has been a strong demand to provide approaches that deal with inaccuracy and uncertainty in GIS. In this paper, we are dedicated to develop an approach that can perform fuzzy spatial querying under uncertainty. An inexact inferring strategy is investigated. The study shows that the fuzzy set and the certainty factor can work together to deal with spatial querying. Each fuzzy set represents an arc segment of the character and is a Cartesian product of four fuzzy sets: the first set represents the direction of the arc segment, the second represents the shape of the segment, the third represents the arc length and the fourth represents the direction of change from the previous segment. The existing linear regulator circuit used in the current design has excessive overshoot and ringing in response to step changes, particularly during initial turn-on into a cold (very low impedance) filament. The linear regulator compensates for gradual changes in the load, but an external system must apply the reference voltage gradually to prevent excessive overshoot. For these reasons, a fuzzy controller is an excellent choice to provide the needed nonlinear regulation. As cognitive models CMs hold great potential for visualization in OLAP and OLAM. Due to the lack of formal mathematical basis, however, CM-based OLAP and OLAM have not become popular. Compared with existing approaches, bipolar fuzzy sets and CMs have a number of advantages. First, they are formal logical as well as cognitive models. Secondly, strict bipolarity leads to the notions of fuzzy equilibrium that provides a theoretical basis for bipolar information or knowledge fusion, clustering, and coordination. Thirdly, a fuzzy equilibrium relation or FCM induces bipolar fuzzy clusters that distinguish fuzzy coalition, fuzzy conflict and fuzzy harmony subsets. Fourthly, equilibrium energy and stability analysis provides perspectives and support for strategic decision-making. In this paper, new conditions for the global stability, are developed. A design of a robust fuzzy based Variable Structure Controller is presented to stabilize and improve the response of non-linear unstable systems. Both the fuzzy controller (FC) and the controlled system are represented by the affine T-S fuzzy model. A control strategy is proposed to reduce the chattering problem which is considered the main drawback of the VSC by introducing a boundary layer around the switching surface. A simulation study for an inverted pendulum mounted on a cart is used to demonstrate the design procedure.
