Their endeavors are propelled by a multitude of diverse factors, including aspects such as social identity, perceptions of fairness, efficacy, and other relevant considerations. These factors lead them to engage in a process of internalization within the collective group they are part of, shaping their sense of self-worth. However, the motivation to achieve self-worth is not always the predominant focus in existing study. Therefore, this study aimed to explained the context of activists’ self-worth through the framework of the Quest for Significance (QFS) theory, employing a systematic literature review method. The systematic literature review follows the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic and Meta-analysis (PRISMA) protocol, utilizing keywords such as “political activism,” “personal significance,” “fulfilling life activism,” “meaningful activist,” and “activist experience.” The platforms searched include Google Scholar, Springer Nature, Taylor & Francis, and Sage Journal. During the screening stage, journals that met the criteria related to social-political activism and the activation processes of the QFS (significance gain and significance loss) were carefully selected. The study identified key theme concerning the self-worth of activists, such as the role of activism as a coping mechanism, the positive outcomes of activism, the impact of relationships on activist, and challenges inherent in activism.","PeriodicalId":34755,"journal":{"name":"Psikologika Jurnal Pemikiran dan Penelitian Psikologi","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135722406","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Women with breast cancer need to adjust themself psychologically to go through life. Self-compassion helps individuals with chronic diseases to adapt to the psychological impact. This research aims to explore self-compassion in women with breast cancer. This research found that participants tend to turn judgment into acceptance of their body changes as an impact of surgery, warm social relationships, and an outlook of not wanting to look weak. There was an awareness of balanced and exaggerated responses, along with forms of coping with approaching and avoiding problems. This research contributes to developing interventions for developing self-compassion among women with breast cancer.","PeriodicalId":34755,"journal":{"name":"Psikologika Jurnal Pemikiran dan Penelitian Psikologi","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135693309","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

During online lectures during the pandemic, students experience difficulties that can trigger students to experience academic stress. This experimental study used a repeated measures design and involved 17 students. The method of data analysis was carried out using the Wilcoxon test and the Friedman test. The results of this study indicate a decrease in the level of academic stress using humor for students. It can be seen from the academic stress level of students is lower after being given a humor show than before being given a humor show.","PeriodicalId":34755,"journal":{"name":"Psikologika Jurnal Pemikiran dan Penelitian Psikologi","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135690385","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The data analysis method used is the Pearson product-moment correlation. Based on data analysis, in testing the hypothesis of the relationship between experienced workplace incivility, a correlation coefficient of rxy -.368 (p<.005) is obtained, which means a negative relationship exists between experienced workplace incivility in employees. This study aimed to determine the effect of physical health, sense of personal agency, and use of social media on PWB in government internal auditors. The design used in this study is a quantitative correlational approach. This study's results indicate an influence between physical health and a sense of personal agency on PWB in internal government auditors. Physical health affects 23%, while the sense of personal agency is 72%. By calculating all the biopsychosocial model variables, it can be concluded that the sense of personal agency has a more significant influence on PWB than physical health and the use of social media on internal government auditors.","PeriodicalId":34755,"journal":{"name":"Psikologika Jurnal Pemikiran dan Penelitian Psikologi","volume":"314 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135831768","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
