Data shown by Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) in 2013 described the prevalence of obesity in Indonesia as increasing annually. Obesity becomes a risk factor for many diseases, the example of it is a musculoskeletal disorder in the cause of mobility disorder. Victims of obesity are known to have limited movement and joint range of motion (ROM) reduction caused by mechanical hindrance in joint movement. This research is focusing on discovering the relationship between obesity and hip joint ROM reduction in students at the Faculty of Medicine Jenderal Achmad Yani University. This research is also using a correlation analytical layout with a cross-sectional approach. The research subject is consisting of 20 males and 38 females student members with a body mass index (BMI) of ≥ 25 kg/m2. Anthropometrical data and hip joint ROM are obtained from direct measurement of the subject. The data are descriptively analyzed then continued with Spearman correlation assessment. The result of this research is stating that there is a significant negative correlation between obesity and hip joint ROM flexion, extension, abduction, adduction, and exorotation (p < 0.05), except for hip joint ROM abduction in female (p > 0.05)also a significant positive correlation between obesity and hip joint ROM endorotation (p < 0.05). In conclusion, this research is showing that there are relations between obesity and hip joint ROM reduction in flexion, extension, abduction, adduction, and exorotation movements. Therefore, in a female group, there is no relation between obesity and hip joint ROM reduction in adduction. Keywords—obesity, range of motion, hip joint","PeriodicalId":346010,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 12th Annual Scientific Meeting, Medical Faculty, Universitas Jenderal Achmad Yani, International Symposium on \"Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Response during COVID 19 Pandemic\" (ASMC 2021)","volume":"346 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121702158","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Changes in lipid profile levels can be influenced by several factors, namely diet, physical activity, lifestyle, age, sex, and genetics. Poor diet, such as consuming foods that contain excessive fat can cause abnormal lipid profile. The Mediterranean diet is a recommended diet for people with dyslipidemia because it contains ingredients such as unsaturated fatty acids (MUFA and PUFA), high antioxidants, and low glycemic index that improve nutritional status and lipid profile levels. This study aims to determine the characteristics, nutritional status and lipid profile levels of dyslipidemia patients with a Mediterranean diet. This research is descriptive study with cross-sectional approach and the sample was 37 dyslipidemia patients on Mediterranean Diet collected by consecutive sampling. Nutrional status examination involved BMI which mostly the patients had obesity I; waist circumference which mostly the female patients had ≥80 cm and male patients had ≤90 cm; and lipid profile which the average level of cholesterol total 188,84 mg/dL, HDL 41,00 mg/dL, LDL 130,43 mg/dL, and TGA 117,41 mg/dL. Mediterranean Diet effects had been proved showing the normal average level of total cholesterol, HDL, and TGA meanwhile LDL level and nutritional status were abnormal.","PeriodicalId":346010,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 12th Annual Scientific Meeting, Medical Faculty, Universitas Jenderal Achmad Yani, International Symposium on \"Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Response during COVID 19 Pandemic\" (ASMC 2021)","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134383399","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Clinicians need reliable evidence due to the rapid pace of scientific discovery and clinical data provided by the large number of people infected with SARS-CoV-2. The present review was conducted to summarize the repurposing efficacy of the currently used drugs against COVID-19. Number of antiviral drugs such as remdesivir, favipiravir, chloroquine, hydroxychloroquine, ivermectin, lopinavir, ritonavir has shown inhibitory effects against the SARS-CoV-2 in-vitro as well as in clinical conditions. The immune based therapy like corticosteroids, tocilizumab, baricitinib, casirivimab, and bamlanvimab have shown some promise in more severe cases. Google Scholar, PubMed and SCOPUS were queried using a combination of the keywords “COVID-19,” SARS-CoV-2,” and “pharmacotherapy.” The type of studies that evaluated was clinical trial. Remdesivir has shown the best results and may now be an effective tool for reducing COVID-19 mortality, but more precise and potent antivirals against SARS-CoV-2 would be needed to stop current and/or potential coronavirus pandemics. While, immune based therapy using corticosteroids and anti- SARS-CoV-2 monoclonal antibodies may have their benefit in COVID-19 treatment.","PeriodicalId":346010,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 12th Annual Scientific Meeting, Medical Faculty, Universitas Jenderal Achmad Yani, International Symposium on \"Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Response during COVID 19 Pandemic\" (ASMC 2021)","volume":"112 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115888421","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
