This antenna system is based on a capacitively loaded loop (CLL) driven by an electrically small monopole antenna. This elementary antenna is then used in a two elements compact parasitic array, in order to achieve a higher directivity. The two elements of this array are identical, but only one of them is driven, the other one is used as a parasitic element. The design of the elementary antenna, its simulated radiation performance are reported, as well as those of the parasitic array. A 7.20 dB maximum total directivity is achieved for this antenna array.","PeriodicalId":345854,"journal":{"name":"2016 5th International Conference on Multimedia Computing and Systems (ICMCS)","volume":"255 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115784610","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the FDFOC, a fuzzy logic adaptation mechanism based Luenberger observer used for speed adaptation is adopted, and all the proportional-integral (PI) controllers are substituted for intelligent ones: fuzzy logic controllers (FLCs). In the interest of evaluating both systems performance FDFOC and DFOC, a detailed comparative study is presented: functioning in both motor rotation directions with application of load torque disturbance at low speeds. Simulation tests prove the robustness of the new infrastructure FDFOC in comparison with the usual DFOC: Quick response, good load torque rejection, decrease of the stator phase current on startup, as a result the system dynamic has been improved significantly. On the other hand, the simulation presents excellent speed observation using adaptive Luenberger observer (ALO) whereas the estimated speed perfectly pursues the reference at low speeds. Simulations are done using Matlab.","PeriodicalId":345854,"journal":{"name":"2016 5th International Conference on Multimedia Computing and Systems (ICMCS)","volume":"215 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115412183","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we present a method to extract blood vessels and delineate vascular intersection and crossovers. The proposed algorithm consists of three steps: first, the appearance of the blood vessels is enhanced and background noise is suppressed using Gaussian filters, in second step, entropic thresholding is used to detecting pixels in the enhanced image. Finally, the vascular intersections and bifurcations are obtained via the crossing number (CN) technique.","PeriodicalId":345854,"journal":{"name":"2016 5th International Conference on Multimedia Computing and Systems (ICMCS)","volume":"71 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121790726","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a Markovian algorithm, ICM (Iterated Conditional Modes) is an iterative method which takes into account the neighboring labels of the pixel in calculating the energy function that need to be minimized to obtain the best segmentation. To improve this local method in term of energy function optimization, ABC is so introduced knowing its robustness especially in discrete multivariable optimization problems. The contribution of this work is to propose MRF-ABC algorithm that consists of using ABC to optimize a Potts energy function, after an ICM initialization, in order to improve image segmentation quality. The whole algorithm is evaluated on MRI (Magnetic Resonance Images) and experimental results show the efficiency of the proposed approach.","PeriodicalId":345854,"journal":{"name":"2016 5th International Conference on Multimedia Computing and Systems (ICMCS)","volume":"137 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117163289","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

MANET work without preexisting fixed infrastructures and without a centralized administration. The performance of a MANET network is strictly related to the capacity of the routing protocol implemented to adapt itself to the unpredictable changes in the network topology and the link state. One of these routing protocols is OLSR (Optimized Link State Routing Protocol) which assumes that all the nodes are in a trusted environment. However OLSR is vulnerable to all kinds of malicious attacks. In this paper, we proposed a security mechanism that is an extension of OLSR, called CRY-OLSR. This new mechanism is based on an asymmetric cryptographic that allows the identification and then the isolation of malicious nodes in the network. The simulation results, using OPNET simulator, show the effectiveness of our mechanism.","PeriodicalId":345854,"journal":{"name":"2016 5th International Conference on Multimedia Computing and Systems (ICMCS)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124910563","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The development of low drop-out (LDO) regulator architectures in the power management family is necessary to reduce the standby power of portable applications such as cellular phones and PDAs. In essence, this LDO regulator suffers from an inherent load regulation which impedes to work under various applications. Indeed, this paper discusses a technique that enables the practical realizations of high Load regulation LDO's at low voltages. The objective of this research is to develop novel LDO regulators that can achieve a high precision of LDO which requires a high loop gain performance. Moreover, one of the performances which is enhanced by the augmentation of dc open loop gain is the load regulation. The LDO is implemented in 90 nm CMOS technology and achieves a power-supply rejection ratio better than −70 dB up to 100 KHz for load currents up to 100 mA. The voltage regulator provides maximum 110 mA current, moreover with a 1.2V supply voltage, thus this LDO regulator providing an output of 1 V with a 200mV drop-out voltage.","PeriodicalId":345854,"journal":{"name":"2016 5th International Conference on Multimedia Computing and Systems (ICMCS)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115015527","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
