Timely and accurate forest fire prediction will greatly reduce property and natural losses. A quick method to estimate forest fire hazard levels through known climatic conditions could make an effective improvement in forest fire prediction. This paper presents a description and analysis of a forest fire prediction methods based on machine learning, which adopts WSN (Wireless Sensor Networks) technology and perceptron algorithms to provide a reliable and rapid detection of potential forest fire. Weather data are gathered by sensors, and then forwarded to the server, where a fire hazard index can be calculated.","PeriodicalId":345256,"journal":{"name":"Journal on Internet of Things","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134065844","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

When it talks about user portrait, it will be connected with precise marketing and operating. However, there are more ways which can reflect the good use of user portrait. Commercial use is the most acceptable use but it also can be used in different industries widely. The goal of this paper is forecasting gender by user portrait and making it useful in transportation safety. It can extract the information from people who violated traffic principle to know the features of them then forecast the gender of these people. Finally, it will analyze the prediction based on characteristics correlation and forecasting results from models which can verify if gender can have an obvious influence on the traffic violation. Also we hope give some advice to drivers and traffic department by doing this research.","PeriodicalId":345256,"journal":{"name":"Journal on Internet of Things","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125081334","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to the increase in the number of vehicles and the number of motorists, the traffic accident rate is increasing, causing serious economic losses to society. According to the traffic accident statistics of the Ministry of Communications of China in 2009, more than 300,000 car accidents occurred in the year, most of which were caused by drunk driving. Therefore, this paper proposes a design scheme based on the Internet of Things-based vehicle alcohol detection system. The system uses STM8S003F3 single-chip microcomputer as the main control chip of the system, combined with alcohol sensor MQ-3 circuit, LCD1602 liquid crystal display circuit, buzzer alarm circuit and button circuit to form a complete alcohol detection module hardware system. The main functions of the system are as follows: the alcohol sensor in the car detects the driver’s alcohol concentration value, and displays the value on the LCD screen. The buzzer alarm is exceeded and the information is sent to the traffic police department and the family’s mobile phone through the GPRS module. The system can effectively make up for the shortcomings of traffic police detection, which has certain research significance.","PeriodicalId":345256,"journal":{"name":"Journal on Internet of Things","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123646070","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Firstly, based on the criterion of the minimized sum of square error of time difference of arrival, the location estimation is expressed as an optimal problem of a non-linear programming. Then, an initial point is obtained using the semi-definite programming. And finally, the location is extracted from the local optimal solution acquired by Newton iterations. Simulation results show that when the number of anchor nodes is large, the performance of the proposed algorithm will be significantly better than that of semi-definite programming approach with the increase of measurement noise.","PeriodicalId":345256,"journal":{"name":"Journal on Internet of Things","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129030228","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
