The study sample consisted of 330 university students aged between 18 and 30 (M = 20.59, SD =1.84). The participants filled out the Demographics Form, Cognitive Flexibility Inventory, Barrat Impulsivity Scale, Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Self-Report Scale, and the Turkish version of ADEXI. The two-factor structure (working memory and inhibition) in the original version of the scale was confirmed by second-level confirmatory factor analysis. ADEXI's association with other measurement tools were also observed. Cronbach's alpha internal consistency coefficients for the total score of the scale and for the working memory and inhibition dimensions were calculated as .80, .83, and 73, respectively. Moreover, Gutman's two-half reliability coefficients for the total score of the scale and working memory and inhibition dimensions were calculated as .75, .81, and .69, respectively. Body norms are gender specific. And it is thought that the desire to be thin in women and to be muscular in men increases body dissatisfaction. As these norms are more exposed in Western culture, it is claimed that femininity and masculinity norms over the body are reflected through ideal body characteristics. However in recent years, it is thought that these ideal body norms specific to gender, due to factors such as communication tools and media, increase body dissatisfaction in other cultures. In this study, in order to test this view, in the Turkish population the mediation effect of femininity-masculinity perception in the relationship between gender-specific body dissatisfaction and eating attitudes was investigated with Process Macro Analysis. The study was carried out with 430 female and 414 male between the ages of 18 and 26 years. In this study, Ben-Tovim Walker Body Attitude Scale, Feminine Thoughts Scale, Male-Specific Body Attitude Scale, Masculinity Role Norms Scale and Eating Attitude Test were administered to the participants. According to the findings, as the desire to be thin in women and desire to be muscular in men increased, body dissatisfaction also increased. As adherence to norms of femininity in women and masculinity norms in men increased, body dissatisfaction and deterioration in eating attitudes also increased. The mediating effect of gender role norms was not found in women. A low mediation effect of masculinity norms was found between body dissatisfaction and eating attitudes in men. Accordingly, the interpersonal cyclical model provides a theoretical basis for the nature of relationships and thus facilitates an understanding of 'self' and 'the others’' relationships. The first of the two main purposes of our study is to create valid and reliable stories about the four themes (failure, abandonment, rejection, and criticism) that we define as challenging life events. The second one offers a theoretical example of these stories in interpersonal relations, based on the model. For this purpose, two different samples were defined. In the first, twelve stories were created, inspired by sample situations of failure, abandonment, rejection, and criticism, received from a total of 40 people aged between 18-35 (age: M= 25.46, Sd=1.66). The level of representation of the target theme of the stories was examined by three judges and ten reviewers who are experts in clinical psychology. Secondly, to test the effectiveness of the scenarios, five judges with theoretical knowledge on Interpersonal Schemas and three separate judges were involved to evaluate their codability in accordance with the Model. At this stage, the reliability coefficient for all stories was found to be high and significant (ICC: .84 to .99, p= .025) according to the results of the pilot study, which was performed on 15 people (age: M= 22.43, S=3.87), seven of whom were male, and the intraclass correlation coefficiency.
