The election of new horizons of socio-economic development requires elimination of the mentioned tearing away factors and introduction instruments of social dialogue, adequate to the tendencies of transformation socio-economic potential. Objectives: Objectives of the research is the theoretical and applied aspects of the patterns of transformation of socio-economic potential in the context of different regional segments of the population. Methods/Approach: the methodology of the research is based on the methods of correlation and regression analysis; logical and heuristic; modelling; reverse methods. Results: The research confirmed that the effectiveness of the transformation socio-economic potential depends on the degree of restrictions within the framework of socio-economic transformations and emerging impulses of social and economic isolation. The authors developed approaches to the implementation of social dialogue tools in the face of manifestations of tearing away factors based on the allocation of causal relationships between the main components of aggregate and current demand in the labor market, which allows monitoring the manifestation of the tearing away factors and, through their elimination, equalize disparities between demand and labor supply. The increasing significance of expatriates in the global workforce necessitates a targeted set of work-life balance initiatives to help expatriate workers contribute more effectively in the competitive work environment. Health and recreation are the two important life spheres which play a very important role in success or failure of an expatriate assignment. While work-life balance researches are being conducted globally in plenty, yet research on expatriate adjustment and expatriate work-life balance is still in its nascent stage especially in an expatriate dominated work environment in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. This research paper investigates the health and recreation spheres of expatriate academicians working in private higher education institutes in Bahrain, Oman and the UAE. The research paper illustrates and evaluates the health and recreation spheres in relation to the demographic factors of the respondents and suggests ways to improve work-life balance of expatriate employees.","PeriodicalId":339932,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Character & Leadership Integration (JCLI)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114224013","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Pircher","doi":"10.2139/SSRN.2670704","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.2139/SSRN.2670704","url":null,"abstract":"Productive decision-making requires appropriate perception of the facts relevant to the decision. It may be necessary to perceive and integrate diverse and conflicting perspectives appearing inside and outside of the decision-maker. Therefore I scrutinize theoretical and empirical findings on individual human perception as a basis for decision-making and behavior. Special attention lies on the role of the unconscious (e.g. Bargh, 2006), dual-system approaches (e.g. Kahneman & Frederick, 2002), self-regulation (e.g. Muraven, Baumeister & Tice, 1999, Moffitt et al., 2011), and self-leadership (e.g. Manz, 2013). From this foundation I derive guiding self-leadership guidelines for more sustainable internal balancing and more comprehensive integration of external stimuli. Such self-leadership guidelines allow leaders and organizations to identify blind spots more easily and to improve the perception of the inside and the environment. In purpose-driven organizations with distributed authority, the power to decide is distributed among those employees who appear to be competent for the specific topic. Therefore especially within such organizations this self-leadership competency appears to be crucial for success.","PeriodicalId":339932,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Character & Leadership Integration (JCLI)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114207984","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
