Greenhouse gas molecules formed due to anthropogenic activities absorb infrared radiations from the sun, and these molecules re-emit the radiations in all directions, causing temperature rise of the Earth's surface. Due to anthropogenic activities in the country, GHG emissions of GHGs are increasing. The motor vehicles running in the Indian cities with the fossil fuels like gasoline, diesel, etc., are emitting Carbon-di-oxide (CO2), Hydrocarbon (HCs), Nitrogen oxides (NOx) and water vapor as greenhouse gases in the form of vehicular exhausts. These emissions are responsible for deteriorating ambient air quality of the cities like Delhi, National Capital Region (NCR), Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, etc. This paper outlines the necessary technologies and practices to mitigate GHG emissions of GHGs. The paper also discusses some of the strategies for reducing emissions of GHGs to minimize the effect of global warming and climate change. The impacts of implementing energy efficiency and conservation measures, the role of renewable energy, and hydrogen blends in the vehicular fuel Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) are also described in this paper. The emission performance of a passenger car suitable for bi-fuel combustion with 18 Hydrogen Compressed Natural Gas (18HCNG) has been compared with neat CNG fuel. The economic analysis with these two vehicular fuels in respect of reducing CO2 and NOx being greenhouse gases, has also been discussed in this paper.","PeriodicalId":337301,"journal":{"name":"i-manager’s Journal on Future Engineering and Technology","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115099377","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Smart Grid is an automated system which includes automation of existing electrical infrastructure into modern and controlled system with the help of IT control, Internet of Things (IoT) systems that enables real-time monitoring and control of bi-directional power flows and information flows from generation to consumption. Electricity demand is a major issue in India and with the help of these technologies the demand of electricity can be managed in reliable and economic mode. Consumers can monitor real-time energy consumption of their energy use, and this can be reflected in supply, demand and generation of energy. State utilities send their billing data to Electricity Regulatory Commission every year where billing data analysis is carried and new tariff of electricity is decided by the Regulatory Commission to all Consumers of Electricity in the State. Web based Geographical Information System (GIS) can help by mapping all electrical infrastructures on a digital map including their complete details and all consumers can be mapped. Web based GIS can help to state utilities as a tool for plan and manage their all assets by logging into the system from anywhere. Web based GIS can help to manage area wise Load Scheduling by integrating Road, Buildings, Lands, Transmission Stations, Transmission Lines, Generation Stations and consumer's detail. This system can help for Load Forecasting, Decision Making and Electricity Demand Management for State Utilities, Regulatory Body and Policy Makers towards making effective approach in Energy Conservation and Efficiency.","PeriodicalId":337301,"journal":{"name":"i-manager’s Journal on Future Engineering and Technology","volume":"174 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116641178","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Presently, several patented technologies are available for the petroleum industries to transport natural gas cheaply in liquefied form. In the recent past, low natural gas prices in North America can be attributed to the isolation of shale gas resources using GTL technology. Some small technology providers are currently using GTL to eliminate associated gas flaring in remote oil fields. Several smaller technology providers are now looking to GTL to stop associated gas flaring in remote producing fields. In addition, GTL has the potential to extract liquid fuel in gas-rich inland areas. The GTL technology is preferred as the existing technologies that process natural gas through olefins are more complex and have so far proven difficult and costly in terms of commercial viability. The various GTL technologies having prospective market scope are reviewed this article.","PeriodicalId":337301,"journal":{"name":"i-manager’s Journal on Future Engineering and Technology","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126522284","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Special trash is ignored since its characteristics greatly vary from type to type and from region to region. However, municipal solid waste has properties that make it amenable to a more standardized investigation of its energy potential. The initial part examines the methods for extracting usable energy from garbage. The second part discusses energy availability in the context of the changing qualitative and quantitative characteristics of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW). The third section takes a look at selective collection and how it serves the larger goal of energy recovery. In the fourth part, the significance of Directive 1999/31/CE and its effect on energy recovery strategies are discussed in the context of the current trend in the use of residual municipal solid waste. A mandatory pre-treatment makes less interesting the option of landfilling, moving the energy exploitation of residual municipal solid waste towards thermal treatments. Also, research shows how thermal treatments and anaerobic digestion could work together to provide for a local resident's energy needs.","PeriodicalId":337301,"journal":{"name":"i-manager’s Journal on Future Engineering and Technology","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133870663","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The biological technique was found to be a suitable alternative for treating mine wastes and recovering toxic heavy metals. Acid Mine Drainage (AMD) or Acid Rock Drainage (ARD) is the most wellknown mining waste laden with heavy metals that remains untreated. Microorganisms help in detoxification and thereby facilitate the extraction of pollutants from mine waste. Sulfate Reducing Bacteria (SRB), among all known microorganisms, play an important role in mine waste treatment by neutralizing acidity and reviving alkalinity. The use of microorganisms in treating overburden dumps helps reduce the amount of waste, augment natural resources via metal recovery, and maintain a healthy environment. Such a technique picks up momentum due to its low cost, easy availability of ingredients, and eco-friendly nature. Such a treatment system may or may not be capable of removing toxicity. Therefore, it is advisable to use the same along with other techniques depending upon site conditions, the nature of the deposit, and the availability of essential requisites. This paper attempted to highlight potential thrust areas requiring this technique as well as limiting factors.","PeriodicalId":337301,"journal":{"name":"i-manager’s Journal on Future Engineering and Technology","volume":"94 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133602141","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Rakesh","doi":"10.26634/jfet.17.3.18775","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.26634/jfet.17.3.18775","url":null,"abstract":"The massive shaping processes (forging, rolling, extrusion, wire and bar drawing) play an important role to fabricate metal products. These forming processes undergo plastic deformations of the metal and acquire required shapes and sizes by application of suitable stresses such as tension, compression and shear. Thus due to the characteristics such as cost effectiveness, good mechanical properties of the product, flexible operations, higher productivity, no wastage of the raw material and faster production rate, the work on metals in effective way becomes highly important. Bulk forming and severe deformation process result in massive shape change. The surface area-to-volume of the work is relatively small and mostly done in hot working conditions. The broad topic of bulk metal forming includes many processes both as classical and modified categories. These classical bulk metal forming processes are still in great demand in many industry sectors. It does not seem that this trend will slow down as new technologies have been developed over recent years. These technologies are continuously modified for new demands, such as higher precision (near-net shape) forming, micro-/nano-forming for micro-components, and bulk-sheet metal forming processes for complex workpieces. Thus, it is important to have a broad knowledge of the classical theories of metal forming which was mainly an overview of metal forming processes and their fundamentals. With the growing competitive industrial vibe, it is important to develop into cost-effective production processes. Especially for some automotive components, it is suggested to incorporate bulk metal forming processes into sheet metals to produce high-quality sheet metal components commercially. Sheet-bulk metal forming (SBMF) processes are defined as sheet metal forming where the flow occurs in three dimensions similar to bulk metal forming. After computer-aided design of the tool geometry, the bulk metal forming tools are usually fabricated by machining processes. The main die manufacturing process may be divided into die design, rough machining, heat treatment, finish machining, manual finishing (polishing), or benching and hard coating. The main characteristic of these processes is that the final product has the dimensions of a magnitude similar to the sheet thickness, projecting out of the plane of the sheet. Based on this characteristic, only some special bulk forming processes can be applied on sheet metals. In this review paper, the authors describe the working of various types of bulk metal forming processes, historical development, importance, future scope and challenges, so that this paper may serve as a good reference for forming process selection and identification for researchers, engineers and students.","PeriodicalId":337301,"journal":{"name":"i-manager’s Journal on Future Engineering and Technology","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132460497","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
