Effects of religious, cultural, and parental factors on women’s views on masturbation as well as the nature of women’s emotions during masturbation were assessed. The frequencies of female orgasm during masturbation to sexual intercourse with a partner were compared. Methods: Cross-sectional anonymous online questionnaire with 24 questions both multiple choice and open ended. Inclusion criteria was female/identify as female, 18 years and older. Approval of the study by Riga Stradins Research Ethics Committee. The questionnaire was promoted on various social media platforms and by word of mouth for a period of 3 months. Analyzation of data was conducted via SPSS system. Results: A sample size of 1068 participants, aged ≥ 18years, mainly European (46%) and North American (43%), was obtained. 64.6% reported insufficient sexual education, with 43.3-55.8% stating insufficient preparation for safe, consensual sex. 84.4-85.2% stated that female masturbation was not covered, 59% of participants indicated that female masturbation needs a place in sexual education. Amongst 39.2% of participants, parents didn’t discuss any sexual education with them with 29.8% of participants forbidden to engage in pre-marital sexual activity. Amongst those prohibited 38% still masturbated. A total of 1.3% of participants underwent genital mutilation. Assessing frequency of masturbation majority (40.3%) reported to masturbate more than once weekly with the most popular mode of masturbation being sex toys(44%) followed by hands(42%). Comparing the frequency of orgasm while masturbating versus during sexual intercourse with a partner, 59% always report having an orgasm while masturbating solo; compared to 15% when with a partner. Emotions experienced by women during masturbation were mostly positive with the majority feeling relieved (68.7%). Conclusions: Sexual education programs in schools are insufficient in teaching about female masturbation and preparing students for safe, consensual sexual intercourse; they require reassessment by UNESCO and WHO for more efficient implementation. Female masturbation should be considered a right to female sexual health, this needs to be ensured and included as a *Corresponding Author Female Masturbation Practices amongst Different Populations and Age Groups","PeriodicalId":335920,"journal":{"name":"Mathews Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics","volume":"27 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139363115","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It accounts for only 4% of all cancers in women, but the devastating information is that it is the deadliest of all gynecological tumors. The reason for this is its late detection in an already advanced stage when treatment options are already very limited. The cause of ovarian cancer is unknown. Among the factors that have an impact on development, the following are important: age, the occurrence of cancer in the family, the reproductive function of a woman, and environmental factors. The symptoms of ovarian cancer are non-specific and often go unrecognized, even though they appear even in the early stages of the disease. Because of this, a large number of cases, even 70%, are discovered when cancer has already spread.","PeriodicalId":335920,"journal":{"name":"Mathews Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130777890","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Caesarean birth is life-saving for mother and her newborn. However, overuse of it is a global health concern. The aim of this study was to examine the attitudes of health care providers towards the mode of delivery. Methods: In this cross-sectional-analytical study, the study population consists of obstetricians, nurses and midwives working in labor wards, gynecological surgery wards and operating rooms of Ganjavian hospital in Dezful. After obtaining written consent, a questionnaire is available. They consisted of two parts: the first part included demographic information (age, sex, work or education history, marital status, type of delivery, number of children and history of abortion; stillbirth or infant death) and the second part included a questionnaire measuring attitudes toward The delivery was normal and cesarean section. The questionnaire used in this study is a standard questionnaire that was validated by Heidari et al. in 2014. SPSS software version 20 was used for data analysis. Student’s t-test was used to evaluate the mean difference. Results: Out of 105 participants in the present study, 12 were obstetricians (11.4%), 21 were nurses (20%) and 70 (66.6%) were midwives. Findings of the study showed that the majority of obstetricians (91.7%) and the majority of midwives (87.1%) and most nurses (87.5%) had a neutral attitude towards cesarean section. None of the obstetricians and nurses had a positive attitude towards cesarean section. Physicians had a more neutral attitude towards cesarean section than nurses and midwives. Nurses did not have a negative attitude towards normal vaginal delivery. In addition, midwives had a more positive attitude towards normal vaginal delivery than doctors and nurses. Conclusion: It seems that different attitudes towards the mode of delivery can be confusing for pregnant women. A prerequisite for a safe delivery is a close working relationship between the obstetrician and midwife/nurse. *Corresponding Author A Study of The Attitude of Health Care Providers Working in Ganjavian Hospital in Dezful City towards Normal Vaginal Delivery and Cesarean Section","PeriodicalId":335920,"journal":{"name":"Mathews Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123986713","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Some male Pediatric generational disorders inclusive of Cryptorchidism, hypospadias, testicular besides other acquired cancers of childhood, infections, torsions, Spina Bifida along with Pediatric varicocoele have correlated with future infertility. Early timely fertility preservation, in particular in those waiting for chemotherapy or in cases of genetic disorders like Klinefelters syndrome (KS), Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia need to be taken into account robustly in patients anticipated to generate testicular depletion. Despite no clarification regarding ideal timing in view of absence of long term prospective studies, early diagnosis as well as targeting treatment might cause maximization of fertility potential in adult hood. Here we conducted a systematic review utilizing search engine PubMed, Google Scholar; Web of Science; Embase; Cochrane review library utilizing the MeSH terms like Cryptorchidism; hypospadias, testicular cancers; torsion; other cancers of childhood; infections; Spina Bifida; paediatric varicocoele; Klinefelters syndrome (KS); Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia from 1980’s till date in 2022. We found a total of 300 articles out of which we selected 97 articles for this review. No meta-analysis was done. Thus here we summarize how these disorders need to be tackled for optimizing long-term fertility potential.","PeriodicalId":335920,"journal":{"name":"Mathews Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127193363","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main side effects caused by these vaccines include anaphylactic shock, pain at the administration site, fever, fatigue, myalgia, headache, and nausea. Although not listed as a side effect, period disturbance and vaginal bleeding have been reported repeatedly by women shortly after vaccination. We surveyed menstruating women who received at least one dose of any vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 used in Argentina during August 1 to September 8, 2021. Overall, 40% of the women who participated in the survey reported an alteration of their period. Disturbance in the menstrual period was more frequent in younger women. Menstrual cycle disturbances were manifested both with mRNA, viral vector, and inactivated virus-vaccines.","PeriodicalId":335920,"journal":{"name":"Mathews Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics","volume":"248 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124067633","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
