The proposed controller is designed recursively based on the control Lyapunov function (CLF) to assure the desired control performance under varying the load torque of the DC motor as well as by considering the system parameters as unknown. These unknown parameters along with unknown load torque are estimated using the adaptation laws and incorporated in the control law to enhance the robustness of the proposed controller. To prove the speculative stability of the whole system, the CLFs are formulated at different stages during the design process of the controller. Another key attribute of the proposed adaptive control scheme is that it can overwhelm the over-parameterization problems of unknown parameters which generally come out in some conformist adaptive backstepping methods. Finally, the helpfulness of the proposed control scheme is demonstrated through the computer simulation results and performance of the designed controller is also compared with an existing adaptive backstepping controller.","PeriodicalId":333370,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Engineering (ECCE)","volume":"266 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116049408","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed robust controller is designed using the nonlinear backstepping theory based on the power dynamics rather than the usual current dynamics. One of the foremost advantages of this procedure is that the inner current control loop is eradicated here which consequently simplifies the modeling and controller design process. On the other hand, to generate the reference active power from the closed loop control of the dc-link voltage dynamics an outer voltage loop is used. To show the robustness of the designed controller, external disturbances are also considered within the system. The overall stability of the whole system is confirmed with the formulation of control Lyapunov functions (CLFs) at every design stage during the design of the controller. Finally, the performance of the designed controller is tested on a VSI based three-phase grid-connected PV system under different operating conditions. The performance is also compared with an existing controller and it is clear that designed controller can provide better performance than the existing controller in terms of the total harmonic distortion (THD) of the injected current.","PeriodicalId":333370,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Engineering (ECCE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124306923","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A novel approach of PMSM drive control using space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) technique is proposed based on the principle of field oriented control (vector control). In MATLAB / Simulink platform the whole system is implemented in which two control loops are used-inner current loop and outer speed loop. Beside continuous-time control, digital control using shift operator and delta operator is also presented. It is shown that the delta operator control scheme provides a unified frame-work and converges to the continuous-time control at high sampling frequency. However, the shift operator based control scheme does not leads to satisfactory result as the sampling speed increases. Simulation results verified the above facts.","PeriodicalId":333370,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Engineering (ECCE)","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124343726","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The unknown external disturbances are considered within the system model and estimated through adaption laws and incorporated with the control law to attest the robustness property of the intended control scheme. The designed controller is able to provide the robustness property against external turbulences as well as can overcome the over-parameterization problem which generally emerges in some conventional adaptive methods. To prove the convergence of longitudinal and lateral dynamics to a desired equilibrium point, in every stage of the design procedure a control Lyapunov function (CLF) is formulated and stability of the whole system is proved through the negative definiteness of the derivative of CLF. Finally, the performance of the proposed controller is verified in a MATLAB/SIMULINK model in the presence of external turbulence into the system. The robustness of the proposed controller, in terms of rejecting external disturbances, is illustrated through the simulation results.","PeriodicalId":333370,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Engineering (ECCE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123348683","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed converters consisting of two three-phase modified bidirectional switches have supply and load side neutral connections either directly or indirectly which may be the requirements of three phase AC-AC switched mode voltage controllers in certain applications. Steady state analysis and simulation results are presented in this paper using the Boost topology as an example. Performance of the circuit has been found satisfactory with duty cycle variation. However, because of the complexity of dynamic gestures either static gestures, postures, or a small set of dynamic gestures are focused by most researchers. In this paper, Kinect Motion Sensor Device is used to recognize the gesture of the user. But the gesture of each user of a particular word will be slightly different. As real-time recognition of a large set of dynamic gestures is considered, some efficient algorithms and models are needed. Here an efficient algorithm is used to recognize the gesture and translate them. In this paper, in order to recognize the gesture in both training and translation mode a grid view algorithm has been used. We evaluated our system by translating gesture by various people for twelve different words and experimental results reveals that our proposed system has about eighty percent success rate in translating gestures.","PeriodicalId":333370,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Engineering (ECCE)","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128842722","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its key advantages include surface-sensitive response, label-free detection, and real-time measurement capability and ability to detect even minute changes. As a result, one of the priority directions in the SPR biosensor research has been the development of SPR based sensors for detection of specific biological and chemical analytes related to the application areas such as medical diagnostics, environmental monitoring, food safety and security. Specially, medical diagnostics has been perceived as one of the most significant field for applications of SPR biosensor technology. Therefore, SPR biosensors for detection of molecules related to medical diagnostics are currently being widely researched. Here, we present the analysis of detection of three potentially threatening health conditions namely early detection of DNA mutation and some urinary and blood diseases, based on SPR biosensors of Kretschmann configuration. Experimental values of refractive indices corresponding to various conditions have been used from literature and finite-difference time-domain simulations have been performed to obtain the angle at which minimum reflectance (Rmin) occurs in an SPR sensor using Kretschmann configuration. The detection plausibility of varying normal as well as diseased cases has been analyzed observing the shifts in the resonance dip angle.","PeriodicalId":333370,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Engineering (ECCE)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121956872","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Raspberry Pi 3 has been used to control multiple Arduino which are integrated with a couple of sensors and camera. A 360° relay motor is assembled with the camera so that it can snap the image in whatever angle the fire is detected. We have provided a confirmation of the fire suspecting system to avoid any false alarm. The system will immediately send a message along with the image of the affected spot and Arduino's location. Due to the limited absorption band of organic materials, single junction organic solar cells suffer from low efficiency. Here, we demonstrate the performance of single layer devices based on the solution of carrier continuity equation in MATLAB. Polymers P3HT:PCBM, pBBTDPP2:PCBM and PCDTBT:PCBM provide power conversion efficiency of 3%, 3.15% and 6.2% respectively. Hence series connected tandem cell P3HT:PCBM as front cell and pBBTDPP2:PCBM as rear cell is designed to achieve higher efficiency where the proposed model gives the power conversion efficiency of 6%.
