The problems raised in this study are: 1) how was the condition of the Tebuireng Islamic boarding school in 1934-1953; 2) how the modernization of the education system at the Tebuireng Islamic boarding school was; 3) Why the modernization of the Tebuireng Islamic boarding school education occurred in the changes in institutions and learning systems. The formation of administrative areas is influenced by various conditions such as topography, culture, economy, and politics. The focus of the study in this paper lies in the political influence that shaped Deli and East Sumatra as part of the colonial administration in the Dutch East Indies region. The qualitative method is the tendency to discuss this historical study involving heuristics through various kinds of literature, criticisms, interpretations, and historiography. Concepts and discussions about this issue also vary, depending on the angle from which this problem is viewed. This study examines the value of moral education in the Qur'an. This study focuses on the verse of Muhkam in the Qur'an surah Al-Isra’ which aims to find out how the value of moral education is contained in the verse of Muhkam. This research is a literature study that uses the Qur'an as primary data. The secondary data were taken from various Quran interpretation books and other supporting books and articles related to the value of moral education. This study uses content analysis and uses a thematic interpretation approach (maudhu'i). Nasution, Lister Eva Simangunsong","doi":"10.30743/mkd.v6i2.5908","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.30743/mkd.v6i2.5908","url":null,"abstract":"This study aims to find out the artists who came from the Batak Land during the Dutch colonial period in Indonesia, the independence period, and the post-independence period, as well as the specialty of the artists in motivating the workers in the millennial era or the present. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a historical approach through heuristic steps (collection of data relevant to the topic of study, both primary and secondary), for verification (criticism of external and internal sources), for further interpretation. The analysis was carried out using the theory of semiotics (Ferdinand De Saussure), namely content analysis. The results show that North Sumatra, especially the Tapanuli region, is the hometown for many artists, especially musicians with various genres known at the national and international level. This study aims to see how the participation of local communities in the development of Siallagan tourism in Siallagan Pindaraya Village. The method used is observation and interviews with tourists and the surrounding community as well as using literature studies. From the results of the study concluded that the participation of local communities in this tourist attraction is very high. This is evidenced by the large number of community participation in developing tourist attractions by selling various souvenirs and providing supporting facilities for tourism activities such as: restaurants, accommodation (hotels/inns), and souvenir shops. Ginting","doi":"10.30743/mkd.v6i2.5593","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.30743/mkd.v6i2.5593","url":null,"abstract":"This study discusses the history of the development of the Pamatang Purba Bolon House as one of the seven traditional local government centers in the form of a kingdom that ever existed in Simalungun. This study uses the historical method which consists of four steps, namely heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The main source of this research material was obtained by conducting direct interviews with the manager of Rumah Bolon and the Chairperson of the Simalungun Museum Foundation, which is a representative representing the descendants of the Ancient King. While secondary sources are obtained from written documents, unpublished personal archives, journals, books about Simalungun and other scientific research. Research findings show that the establishment of the Pamatang Purba Bolon House is closely related to the history of the founding of the Ancient Kingdom which was founded by Tuan Raendan (Pangultop) around 1515 from Pakpak. Bolon's house has survived to this day because it survived the burning carried out by the Liar Tiger Front during the social revolution in Simalungun in 1946.
