PPC is cement where the quantity of cement is partially replaced with fly ash content. This experimental work presents an estimate of efflorescence amount in cement mortar with in various brands of PPC. In order to calculate the efflorescence level and to determine the surface area of efflorescence formed quantitatively analyzed through SEM analysis.","PeriodicalId":333094,"journal":{"name":"PROCEEDINGS OF ADVANCED MATERIAL, ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127500219","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Poor water quality will cause health risk to people and ecosystems. Sg Pahang is one of a popular spot for a caged catfish breeder. However, due to the rapid development, pollution of river is increased and the caged fish breeders have experiencing a drop in production. Furthermore, the samples of water for the analysis of fish death is collected manually, thus cause a time consuming, limitation of manpower, facility, and cost of equipment. Therefore, a system is needed to collect the real-time data for monitoring the quality of water. This paper aims to develop a real time water quality monitoring system based on IoT application. Three sensors were used as parameters to determine the water quality which are pH, temperature and ultrasonic sensors. LoRa is used as a device to transmit data in long range and the user could monitor the data continuously in real-time. As a result, the system could improve the way of retrieving the data for any abnormal condition of catfish breeder.","PeriodicalId":333094,"journal":{"name":"PROCEEDINGS OF ADVANCED MATERIAL, ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY","volume":"146 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134035318","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In Malaysia all earlier elections a voter used to cast his vote by using ballot paper and it is still being used until now. This is a long, time-consuming process and very much prone to errors. With people now getting busy in their work and voters had to come far away to voting center while some voters don't like to wait in queues. In this project, Cost Effective Real-Time Polling System is introduced using text messages to cast vote of their choice. The voting system is based on short message service to eliminate the drawback of traditional voting method. It used a microcontroller board based on the ATmega328P and equipped with groups of digital and analog input/output pins interfaced to several extension boards. In power failure condition, all votes will still be stored in the EEPROM memory. The results show the LCD screen with the total number of vote that have been collected during the voting process. This work indicates that it has reduced the polling time, the accurate vote data information without any mischief at the counting center and more efficiency in getting overall results.","PeriodicalId":333094,"journal":{"name":"PROCEEDINGS OF ADVANCED MATERIAL, ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129063580","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The UAV can acts as a data collector or a relay between the central gateway and WSNs. The smart system in UAV are able to capture valuable data by using the right acquisition equipment and translate the information to better and faster data-driven decision. In despite of its success in many applications and field of studies, there are still open issues regarding the collaborative of UAV in Wireless Sensor Network such as an optimal trajectory design for the UAV, height between UAV and ground sensor nodes and energy management of the networks. This paper analyses the most common used algorithms to improve the performance of UAV-WSN. Each of the techniques are studied and a comprehensive analysis is presented.","PeriodicalId":333094,"journal":{"name":"PROCEEDINGS OF ADVANCED MATERIAL, ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132272644","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
