The results allow the inference of geological structures, kinematic indicators, correlation of domains (magnetic and radiometric) with geological units and a better understanding of the tectonic system of the region. The main purpose is support the graduate UFG (Universidade Federal de Goiás) geological mapping and opening possibilities to locate mineral resources. The production of the maps was done through data processing, applying methods such as quality control, 2-D interpolation and linear transformation of the data to generate several products: Total Gradient (Amplitude of Analytical Signal), Vertical Derivative, Horizontal Gradient (magnetic) and K, U and Th channels, Total Count and RGB-KThU Ternary Image (radiometric). The interpretation of magnetic data allowed the delimitation of magnetic structures and domains, while the interpretation of radiometric data allowed the delimitation of several radiometric domains correlated with geological characteristics. The correlation with geological information yield final products, which contribute to the knowledge of the areas mapped in the region and help to understand the relations of the anomalies to the local geology.","PeriodicalId":332941,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 16th International Congress of the Brazilian Geophysical Society&Expogef","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121604404","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this work, we introduce a new simultaneous sources encoding strategy for time domain full-waveform inversion based on the phase rotation wavefield in the time domain constructed with help of the Hilbert transform. This encoding strategy consists in applying a random phase rotation to each shot gather. In addition, we combine our encoding scheme with restarted L-BFGS scheme. We have tested our scheme using synthetic data set from 2D SEG/EAGE overthrust model. In our tests, we have compared the effectiveness of our scheme with the conventional polarity encoding strategy. In this comparison, our scheme has shown to be more effective to mitigate the crosstalk noise than the polarity encoding strategy. Furthermore, our scheme showed an improvement of the convergence speed in comparison with polarity encoding.","PeriodicalId":332941,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 16th International Congress of the Brazilian Geophysical Society&Expogef","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122754895","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This carbonate from the area of Vienna (Austria) occurs with a broad range of grain sizes and porosity, due to changes in depositional regime and degree of cementation. Our new mechanical data revealed a simple relation between porosity and mechanical strength. Increasing cementation and decreasing porosity led to a significant increase of the rock strength both in the brittle and ductile regimes. Micromechanical modelling showed that the dominant micromechanisms of inelastic deformation in Leitha limestone are pore-emanated microcracking in the brittle regime, and grain crushing and cataclastic pore collapse in the ductile regime. Microstructural analysis revealed the development of compaction bands in some of the less cemented samples, while more cemented end-members failed by cataclastic flow in the compactant regime. In contrast to mechanical strength, permeability of Leitha limestone was not significantly impacted by increasing cementation and decreasing porosity.","PeriodicalId":332941,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 16th International Congress of the Brazilian Geophysical Society&Expogef","volume":"66 5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126067589","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Information on the subsurface distribution of electrical conductivity was derived from 102 magnetotelluric (MT) stations disposed along 5 profiles that cut the main tectonic units of this sub province. These data were processed and modeled by advanced 3D techniques currently available for studies of electromagnetic induction within the Earth. Preliminary interpretation suggests that several of the observed anomalies are correlated mainly to effects of Neoproterozoic oceanic crust subduction and subsequent collision in at least two regions of the study area. One of them is located under the central region of the Tucano Basin, probably related to the subduction of an oceanic basin to the east, and the other under the Central domain of the Borborema Province, preliminarily interpreted as a subduction zone to the north.","PeriodicalId":332941,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 16th International Congress of the Brazilian Geophysical Society&Expogef","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126609964","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hargreaves","doi":"10.22564/16cisbgf2019.250","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.22564/16cisbgf2019.250","url":null,"abstract":"In this work, we show an internal-multiple-modeling scheme acting on the postack-migrated domain. This scheme applies when prestack data is not available yet and when internal multiples are present, posing challenges to seismic interpretation. The method is computationally inexpensive, since it uses the Exploding Reflector Model and oneway propagation. We describe the theory with details of the method, and show 3D results on real data. Introduction Internal multiples interference with the Pre-salt reservoirs of the Santos Basin is a known long-standing problem. This interference is more pronounced in the presence of the socalled stratified salt, which is mainly composed by a sequence of halite interbedded with anhydrite, and can have a huge impact when determining volumetrics, since it affects facies classification, impedance inversion, as well as, sometimes, structural interpretation. In the Santos Basin, generation of internal multiples mainly occurs at the sea bottom and on the top salt. Examples of successful internal multiple attenuation in the Santos Basin include different modeling methods (Hembd et al. 2010, Cypriano et al. 2015, Krugger et al. 2018, Starring et al. 2018). Some of them are data driven, while others depend on an Earth model. Nevertheless, all of them act on the prestack data and, for this reason, are computationally intensive. Figure 1 exemplifies how misleading internal multiples can be when interfering with the Pre-salt reflectors. Steep dipping events are signal, representing periodic lava flows of the igneous basement of the Santos Basin. Gentler dip events are internal multiples. More misleading than this example is when internal multiples have dips similar to those of the Pre-salt reflectors. This can lead internal multiples to be interpreted as unconformities and even DHI’s, which can negatively affect exploratory targets. In the postack case, Filpo and Tygel (1999) used a Kirchhoff method to generate surface multiples, starting from a zero-offset stacked volume. In 2003, Pica and Manin also modeled surface multiples, but having as input a depth-migrated volume as reflectivity to generate the corresponding zero-offset stack volume via the Exploding Reflector concept. They used phase-shift extrapolation with convolution with the migrated volume to finally model the surface multiples. Wang et al. (2011) expanded Pica and Manin work to model internal multiples, using picked reflectors as the reflectivity. In this work, we propose to combine Pica and Delmas’s method with that of Wang. Our method applies not only to attenuate internal multiples in postack-migrated data, but also to validate interpretation in the presence of this noise. We describe the theory, details of the method, and show 3D results on real data from three different areas of the Santos Basin. Figure 1Steeper dip events are signal and represent periodic lava flows of the igneous basement of the Santos Basin.
