To do so, a motor control strategy (Field Oriented Control, FOC) is implemented using the Matlab’s toolbox (Model Based Design Toolbox) that allows this kind of programming. The algorithms developed by Simulink’s bocks diagrams, used to obtain the PWM signals, as well as the ones used to obtain the FOC strategy, are described in this paper. Furthermore, an optimized FOC is proposed replacing the encoder with an angle estimation by using the Hall Position Sensors integrated in the motor. Later on, the signals obtained with the control platform, are applied to a Brushless DC Motor in a prototype, and experimental tests are conducted. In addition, to improve the quality of the current demanded by the BLDC motor, a compensation strategy of the dominant harmonic is proposed. Experimental results validate this strategy.","PeriodicalId":331206,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Young Engineers Forum (YEF-ECE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115374318","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Fighting wildfires involves many people and vehicles, in extreme conditions, in which dangerous situations can occur.In this paper, a solution based on monitoring the status of a vehicle unit that includes oxygen levels and carbon monoxide levels inside the vehicle and hot points close to the vehicle is proposed. This critical information should be acquired and sent to the central unit, together with the geographical coordinates, allowing the rescue of the unit in danger. The proposed solution can also create a sequence of thermal images associated to a certain position of the perimeter of the wildfire, in order to help the detection of possible reignition spots.","PeriodicalId":331206,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Young Engineers Forum (YEF-ECE)","volume":"71 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129254513","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In fact, they present an important feature for this type of application since presents Buck-Boost characteristic. Besides that, is also characterized by high reliability and multilevel operation. However, associated to this converter, it must be used controllers that will ensure their best performance. In this context, this paper will propose a global control system for the three phase T-Type qZS inverter in a grid-connected PV System. So, it will be considered a MPPT algorithm based on a robust integral time derivative approach. For the output currents will be used a decoupled current controller in which will be associated to a SPWM modulator. The performance of the system will be verified and tested by simulation studies. The results will show that this system will provide results well adapted for this application.","PeriodicalId":331206,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Young Engineers Forum (YEF-ECE)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127557216","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The basic idea of this method consists of to formulate a set of residues that compare the difference between the signals measured from the power circuit with an equation model describing the nominal behavior of the power converter. The fault detection algorithm is based on checking the residuals of the inductor current and output voltage. The fault signatures matrix was obtained using a theoretical analysis of residuals in order to establish an appropriate and effective fault isolation algorithm for converters running in continuous mode. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the method to isolate the main faults in the Buck and Boost power converters.","PeriodicalId":331206,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Young Engineers Forum (YEF-ECE)","volume":"6 4","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114026951","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
