This study aims to examine the role of youth and its effect to integrated farming development in Nglanggeran, Gunungkidul Regency. This research is a quantitative descriptive study. The total number of respondents in this study is 36 farmers selected with simple random sampling. Data collection techniques are observation, documentation, literature review, and in-depth interview. The data analysis uses the proportion test and the multiple linear regression test. The results show that more than 50% of the farmers said that youth played a major role in integrated farming activities. The average level of youth role is 64.33%. Moreover, the role of youth as an agent of change plays a significant role in integrated farming development in Nglanggeran. The influence of an agent of change is positive, which means that the higher the level of the agent of change, the greater the development of the integrated farming. However, the role of youth as an agent of development and an agent of modernization has no significant impact on integrated farming development in Nglanggeran. Maize and some other cereal crops are susceptible to climatic parameters. This study analyzed the impacts of some climatic variables on the yields of maize crops in Ethiopia using the 1981-2018 dataset. Maize production in Ethiopia is adversely affected by climate change. The augmented Cobb-Douglas Production function was used for data analyses. The results showed that the parameters of long-season rainfall, short-season rainfall, and mean maximum temperature show a negative sign and are statistically significant (p<0.05). In contrast, the minimum temperature shows a positive sign. In addition, the parameters of the quantity of fertilizer and improved seed used in maize production have a positive and significant impact on the yields of maize (p<0.10). However, the land area's elasticity coefficient shows a negative and statistically significant sign. It was concluded that changes in climatic parameters, such as an increase in short-season and long-season rainfall and an increase in maximum temperature, would reduce maize productivity. Quality seed is the major reason behind the low productivity of wheat in Nepal. The study was design to investigate the cost, return, and resource use efficiency of wheat seed production in Chitwan district of Nepal. The study used 160 randomly sampled sample of wheat seed producer. Cobb-Douglas production function and benefit cost ratio were used to estimate the resource use efficiency during wheat seed production through data collected using semi-structured interview schedule to meet the objective. The average total cost of wheat seed production with subsidy was NRs. 59440 per hectare and average total cost of wheat seed production without subsidy was NRs. 60731 per hectare. The yield in study area was found 2771.02 kg. The return, profit with subsidy and profit without subsidy from wheat seed production was NRs. 69275.49, NRs. 9835.04 and NRs. 8544.46 in the study area respectively. The benefit cost ratio of wheat seed production in the study area with subsidy was found 1.31 and 1.28 without subsidy. The wheat seed production was found increasing return to scale (RTS = 1.106) in the study area. Seed and Machine were underutilized and other inputs like Farmyard Manure (FYM), chemical fertilizer, labor and other cost were over utilized while producing wheat seed in Chitwan district. Central Kalimantan is a province in Borneo Island with the largest oil palm plantations, and it’s total area is about 1.6 million ha, of which smallholder's plantation are covering an area of 166,000 hectares. There are many constraints faced by smallholder plantations to implement ISPO certification. Because of that, it is important to study the level of application of the ISPO criteria and, the factors that influence the implementation of ISPO in Kumai District, Central Kalimantan. The study used non-probability sampling with a total of 100 respondents. This research used descriptive analysis and the Gutman scale to determine the application of ISPO criteria, multiple linear regression analysis was used to determine the factors that influence the application of ISPO. With the new program issued by the government, hopefully, farmers have the motivation to participate and implement the program to improve the welfare of farming businesses. The aims of this study are: 1) to portray the level of motivation of farmers in participating in the corporate farming program at the Sidomulyo Farmers Association (Gapoktan) in Sidomulyo Urban Village, Kapanewon Godean, Sleman Regency; 2) to comprehend the factors that influence the motivation of farmers in participating in the corporate farming program at the Sidomulyo Farmers' Association in Sidomulyo Urban Village Kapanewon Godean, Sleman Regency. The research applies a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The combined sampling of farmer groups is carried out by purposive sampling, namely the Sidomulyo Farmer Group Association. Furthermore, the research respondents are selected by simple random sampling on all members of the Farmer Group Association who participated in the corporate farming program. So, the total respondents are 40 farmers. The analysis in this study uses the proportion test and multiple linear regression. The results show that most farmers (more than 50%) in Gapoktan Sidomulyo have a high level of motivation to take part in the program. The factors that significantly influence the motivation of farmers to participate in the corporate farming program are the role of Gapoktan and the accomplishment of the corporate farming program. The government's policy for large-scale social restrictions has an impact on farmers' household income because it disrupts the access to sales of agricultural products. The low household income reduced opportunities to meet the needs of good quality food consumption, making food security difficult to achieve. Food security is reflected in two indicators, the level of energy adequacy and the proportion of household food expenditure. The aim of this research are to analyze income, food security and determinant factor of food security. The research was conducted in Trosono Village, Sekaran District, Lamongan Regency. It analyzed household food security using the Jonnson and Toole model. Further, factors influencing food security were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. This research found that (1) the average income of watermelon farming reached IDR 23,496,465 per hectare. Additionally, the research revealed that (2) watermelon farming households fell into the vulnerable (46.5%), the secure (23.2%), the insecure (20.9%), and the less secure (9.3%) categories. Finally, it was found that (3) several variables, such as the number of family members, the head of the family's education, income, rice expenditure, and maternal education, had a significant effect on the energy adequacy rate. If the pandemic lasts longer, it is feared that a food crisis will occur, because residents will scramble to stock up on food. This study aims to analyze the efficiency level of rice productivity and the determinants that affect rice productivity to face the food crisis. This study uses secondary data and primary data, obtained from interviews. The data analysis method used is the Cobb-Douglas Stochastic Frontier Production Function approach with the Maximum Likelihood Estimation (MLE) method and multiple linear regression, which is obtained using Stochastic Frontier Analysis and E-Views 8 analysis tools. Production of land area, seeds, and pesticides have a significant effect on rice production in Karawang Regency. While the use of production factors of urea fertilizer, NPK fertilizer, SP36 fertilizer and labors workdays did not have a significant effect on rice production in Karawang Regency. The level of technical efficiency in rice farming in Karawang Regency reaches 0.9607 which indicates that rice farming is technically close to efficient. The combination of the use of land area production factors, seeds, urea fertilizer, SP36 fertilizer in rice farming in Karawang Regency has not yet reached the optimal point that is economically efficient.
